Grand Hotel Moon Valley

Fantastic views maybe just our room but looking at vesuvius from balcony was beautiful

Nice pool, extremely friendly and polite staff, the hotel itself is very clean and well kept, rooms a little on the small side however this is not much of an issue .

I visited this hotel with my girlfriend between the 5th and 9th of September 2017, booked with Jet2. At this time there were quite a lot of older English couples with almost no younger couples. The hotel has an excellent view over the coast with a very clean and temperate pool overlooking the hillside. Everything is well kept and hotel staff were very nice and friendly. Staff also spoke very good English however we did have to ask if we needed any information as not much was said upon arrival. Half board food was good, breakfast is the standard continental selection, I wouldn't particularly reccomend too many scrambled eggs however as they were just average. The dinner at night was very nice with options for all. The atmosphere at dinner was smart-casual with a slightly pricey wine list, however if wine is not your thing you can bring a drink from the bar if you so please. Staff are happy to get your drink for you as well, but I did get bring my own drinks from the bar. In regards to the room, I would say it is average sized, ours havinf a nice balcony to sit on as well. Everthing was clean once again apart from the bathroom having a bit a bit of mould on the shower head and on some grout, nothing too bad though. The room itself has an amazing view of Naples and Mt. Vesuvio, however the actual location of the hotel itself is ultimately the weakest part of this hotel. There are a few stoney beaches around a 20 minute walk down a road with no pavement, with access by footpath which we could not find. The best public beach we found was at the bottom of the twisty road on the right hand side. Restaurants are within walking distance from 5-30minutes depending on where you would like to go. There is also a small supermarket if you turn right out of the hotel and walk down on the opposite side of the road, up the left hand side street from the tabacco shop. Everything about the hotels location is within walking distance, however beaches are not good and distances may be too far for some people. Overall the hotel was very good, 4 stars.

Beautiful hotel, helpful staff, nice rooms. The hotels' only downfall is that there's not much near it. We did two tours from their offering and they were great and picked us up from the hotel.

Great hotel, clean and tidy, friendly staff, food was good too...

The reception staff, restaurant staff and bar staff were excellent. The hotel was brilliant. Everything about it, 5/5. No doubt if I ever go back to the region of Italy, I'll certainly stay at this hotel again!

Lovely setting, free shuttle bus, staff friendly. The organisation of meals however was a little disorganised. Views amazing.
