Hotel Kore

The nastiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I felt very unsafe, as if I was a prisoner to my room if I exited. The streets in front were filled with trash and indigent children playing in the parking lot after midnight. I was stuck here for one night on a tour of Sicily that claimed it was a 4 star hotel. Boy was that wrong. I’d give it a negative 100 if it were possible. The food was not edible, AC was non existent. Absolutely baffled and ashamed that I was stuck for 12 hours in this disgusting establishment.

The streets in front were filled with trash and indigent children playing in the larking lot after midnight. I was stuck here for one night on a tour if Sicily that claimed it was a 4 star hotel. Boy was that wrong. I’d give it a -100 if it were possible. The food was not edible, AC was non existent. Absolutely baffled and ashamed that I was stuck for 12 hours in this sh*t hole.

Location is not nice, dilapidated building on one side, McDonald's on the other side. Reception sets the scene. At arrival receptionist comes running out speaking Italian, gesturing that I cannot park there. Parking lot was partly closed off and not used by anybody, so I parked my little rented Lancia close to closed off area where there were lots of Ferraris lined up but sufficient space for the lovely Ferraris to drive out with no problems. so I stayed where I was and smiled. The receptionist then waved at me to get closer to the wall. Those extra centimetre did not make a difference. Frosty reception, never felt so unwelcome. WLAN and TV of course did not work. We asked for another room or want our money back. We got a room where WLAN worked. Just Italian TV. Room was clean, service staff was good. Breakfast very basic. Disappointed.
