Antichi Ricordi in Caltanissetta

Our second-floor room was spacious. Quiet at night, with eclectic music wafting in from the neighbourhood during the day. The powder room and bathroom with good water pressure were handy for more than one person getting ready at the same time. All features of this room were well-aligned with the price.

We came to understand the habit of opening up the room in the cool mornings and evenings and letting the stone walls do their work. Yes, the room was darker than we were used to, but the trade-off was naturally cool nights.

The free breakfast was excellent every time, featuring a rotating variety of meats, local cheeses, eggs, and abundant fruits. The cakes — apple, pistachio, and marbled yogurt during our stay — were all delicious, baked in house by Musa, who is brilliant at all his work here. Everyone we met who works here is kind, helpful, and discreet. When we had a question, someone was available to help. For instance, we learned about 24-hour free parking close to the hotel immediately upon checking in.

Exploring the winding streets of the old town reveals the many charms of Caltanissetta; Antichi Ricordi is organically part of the city’s mindful rhythm. The hotel’s proximity to good grocers and butchers makes picking up fresh ingredients easy. It is also close to a main piazza that features the many cultures that have built this city throughout its fascinating history to the present day.

Antichi Ricordi is a clean, stylish, and relaxing place for cost-conscious tourists to enjoy a truly unique city with a lot of history and heart. It’s well worth the walk up the stairs.

Very kind receptionist! Helped with all our problems and very late check in. Tasty breakfast and architecturally interesting room, 10/10 would book again. Right next to the city centre.

Whilst the accommodation was fine, at say 200 metres it is difficult to see it as an annex.

Very clean and well priced.

We were visiting family in the area and were picked up every day, so for us it was convenient. A breakfast was provided in the mornings and I enjoyed the cappuccino, and cereal. We had clean towels and water provided everyday and the air conditioning was wonderful as the temperatures were close to 100 degrees daily. Just as an fyi there is no safe in the room.

Really nice accommodation. Very well decorated, furnished and maintained. Very clean, comfortable and safe. 2 minutes walk from the main square in Caltanissetta. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. The breakfast provided was sufficient / continental style breakfast. I would definitely recommend the accommodation. Thank you
