Valensija, located in central Jūrmala on the Gulf of Riga coast, offers rooms with free Wi-fi and balconies. It is only 750 m from the 33 km long sandy beach.
All of the rooms in the restored villa are simply furnished and come with a Tv.
Dzintari Concert Hall is 600 m from the hotel. Valensija is less than a 10-minute walk from Dzintari Station. Riga is a 25-minute drive away.
The garden has a barbecue house, children's playground and there are darts too. Guests can relax in a Russian sauna and Japanese bath at an extra charge upon previous agreement.
The bar at Valensija offers a range of meals and lights snacks as well as drinks. It is possible to organise banquets and seminars, as well as children events.

"Jūrmala is a Latvian resort city on the Gulf of Riga, just west of the capital, Riga. It’s known for wooden, art nouveau seaside villas, Soviet-era sanatoriums and long, sandy Jūrmala Beach. The sea is very close, same as the Main Street of jurmala with shops and restaurants. Will definitely return here.
The whole 'motel-building' was badly outdated, dirty and awful. Our room was big but also straight from the 70's. The bed was hard and had definitely seen better days. I had to check the bed for bedbugs because the place gave me the vibes of that. Thankfully I didn't find any stains of bedbugs but who knows. We definitely had a variety of other bugs (dead and alive), in our room. I even found a dead bug between the sheets. That didn't left the feeling that it would be nice to sleep in the bed. The room also didn't really have any curtains, just some thin ones that didn't block any light and people from neigboring buildings probably saw everything happening in the room. Drinking glasses on the room had lip stains on them. The door and walls on this building were like paper and everything could be heard from different rooms/corridor.
The guy at the reception didn't really speak English. The guy was trying to tell something about the breakfast but it was really hard to understand. We hadn't chosen breakfast with our booking.
Some good things: there is free parking on the premises (though only 5 spots etc).
I do not recommend. I have no idea how the rooms are in the main building but this motel-building was definitely not worth of 60€ what we paid for one night.
