Great restaurant, tasty food, very nice hotel

This was our favorite hotel in Montenegro. While in other places we experienced rudeness and disregard, this hotel had warm workers that were accommodating at every turn. Clean and pleasant. We love Chucho the house dog!

QUIET, true relaxation at the top of the mountains away from the tourist. This is an AMAZING little family owned hotel. Clearly they invested a lot of money in the right areas, excellent new windows and doors. The restaurant is fantastic. Great service and fantantic food. Run away from the noisy tourist areas and STAY HERE at least for a night with great dinner.

During our road trip through the Balkans, we stayed here for one night, and it was by far the most welcoming place we encountered all week. While the hotel is rated only three stars and isn't the most luxurious, the exceptional hospitality truly earns it an extra star. We stayed at Grandfather’s Secret in August 2024 and wow! The beauty of this place blew us away and Ivan was wonderful, responsive and went out of his way to help us out of a jam. If countryside and peace and quiet surrounded by vineyards and mountains are your thing,, this place can’t be missed. It’s places like this that make the travel experience and are putting Montenegro on the map.

Amazing place, beautiful view, great staff, high hospitality. Delicious food, which I honestly didn't expect. Their restaurant is simply amazing. The rooms are specious and clean. Parking really means a lot. It's not really close to the beach, you have to climb a bit, but the view, parking, rooms, food definitely worth it. We had a very nice stay in Perast and the best Cappuccino. The staff is extremely friendly and the Chef in the Kitchen is awesome. We had a great dinner, breakfast and Lunch. The hotel is right by the Adriatic Sea. It was converted from several residential buildings with different room types, ranging from nearly 30 square meters to only 18 square meters. The environment is first-class, the service is thoughtful, and there is a little surprise: local refrigerator magnets were given when checking out!

The view of Perast is amazing and the hotel is worth staying in. The windows in old buildings are relatively small. The so-called sea view is actually the sea view through the small windows. The service in Montenegro was particularly good. There was no elevator, so a strong man helped us carry our luggage, and we gave him a small tip at the end. Overall worth recommending

Staff provided thorough instructions regarding the room, breakfast, things to see in Perast. There is parking at the end of this beautiful tiny coastal town. The hotel has carts to drive you to and from the parking area. Parking attendants can park your car if all spaces are occupied. Parking currently is 15 euros for 24 hours… I parked at 8am. Lovely, helpful staff. Excellent, clean accommodation. Good food which was reasonably priced compared to other restaurants. Plentiful breakfast. On a busy road but we got used to that and it didn't interrupt our sleep. A very short walk down to a much quieter lane along the shoreline, which was very pleasant. We didn't hire a car or bike, so walked a lot. Buses were cheap but be prepared to wait.
