Art Hotel Galathea

We were with our family in the summer of 2019. Excellent hotel, great view from the window, beach within walking distance, varied food. Overall, we were completely satisfied!

Rest for the soul, I am delighted! Quiet and cozy hotel, polite and tactful staff! The view around our place of rest deserves a separate story, but it is better to visit once than to hear 100 times! Recommended for family holidays.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Galatea! From the private waterfront dock to the amazing breakfast, we enjoyed every second. The staff was by far the best part of our stay. Saldjen was incredible and treated us like family. We wanted a boat tour and Saldjen arranged for us to be picked up and dropped off on the dock so we didn’t have to go all the way into Kotor. Truly amazing! I would recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family. We will be back!

Wonderful small hotel on a very peaceful and quiet side of the bay. The host Tatiana was really welcoming and kind and gave us a lot of recommendations around the area. The food, drinks and service were excellent! We absolutely loved the location and would happily return next time! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing holiday with beautiful views of the bay area.

Lovely quiet place with amazing view on bay and cool design. Some furniture is very old and has a touch of history which is very interesting! All renovated with love and care and you feel the soul in every detail

It was a lovely place to stop for a quiet drink and swim in the sea on the way past. Stopped in for drinks because the host was so friendly as we walked past, suggesting we were looking for a place to stop and rest.

We traveled from Arizona to stay on the entire Montenegrin beach coast, and this hotel was the most memorable. Tanja the hotel owner/manager was so accommodating, from helping us with taxi service from the airport and to leaving the hotel to go to Budva, and make sure we didn’t have a room beyond the 1st floor because of my moms knees, and she was very informative and helpful with how to spend our days in the city. We were welcomed with complimentary champagne on the private beach, and enjoyed complimentary homemade breakfast each day. The historic building is charming and cute. When we were in Budva the following days, we definitively missed the Art Hotel Galathea, as we felt most comfortable there and the host treated us so well. Not even in Budva did we have a private beach or complimentary breakfast. Budva was noises and crowded, whereas The Art Hotel Galathea was very peaceful and relaxing. I highly recommend to anyone looking to relax and have a private time. I hope to visit again soon!

Due to the building being old, an elevator is not available, and the only downside is that a hotel room is not available on ground level for those who may need it. There are not too many stairs to the 1st floor up. And the host was willing to assist with suitcases.

We had a wonderful stay at the Art Hotel Galathea! We stayed in the apartment "Alpha", which was beautifully and tastefully appointed and very comfortable. The waterfront was pleasantly shaded by an olive tree and was a lovely place to lie in the shade or take a dip in the sea. The breakfast was made and served with love and was reliably tasty every morning. Wonderful, kind, and heartfelt service!

It was lovely to stay here where it is a lot quieter and calmer than in Kotor, but still accessible to the marina, Old Town, and other places on the bay.
