Guesthouse Durmitor Magic

Unfortunately, we are very disappointed as we were given a totally different room than the one on the pictures. It was more like a corridor for another 1-bed room as the person who booked such room needed to go through our room. She was as uncomfortable as we were. The host was friendly but did not bother much when I said it was not the room we booked. If I didn’t arrive so late I would simply leave. Apparently the shared bathroom is shared also with a family living there. So if they are fully booked there are 12 people to use the bathroom. The floor was so squeaky I hardly could sleep. The fridge was stinky and there was a bug in it.

It was very disappointing. I wouldn’t book it again.
On the picture I marked the entrance to the second room so obviously whoever was living there needed to go through the room we were given to stay in.

Misleading description. We reserved private room but another room opened from it so another guest was constantly passing through the otherwise tiny room. Only one bathroom-toilet that everyone shares incl. the hosting family. Breakfast very scarce. Definitely not magical.

Room pictures on Booking.com show DECENT breakfast INCLUDED in room rate.
In reality got cup of coffee, few bread slices and 2 servings of honey & butter.
Host refused to provide breakfast as shown in room pictures.
Another issue - 2 guest rooms in the house are ADJACENT with SINGLE EXIT, so to leave your room, you have to cross other guest room (wasn't problem for me as I was the only guest)

Owner was very unfriendly, thinks public street is his private parking

Did not stay here but the owner thinks the public street is his private parking. Very unfriendly how we were shoo'd away.

I was planning on putting 3 stars. But I think this review should be a warning for the owners that things should change in this place. I think it is good enough to be worth 3 stars but owners have really curious behaviours.
We stayed 7 nights.
First night, we booked triple room. We arrived late and they waited for us so we thought this was very nice. However we were put in a double bedroom, like 8m². But as the price is not expensive and we were tired we were not bothered. Until we hear someone snoring and we noticed there was a door communicating to another room. More exactly, people staying in this other room have to go through your room to get out of the house and everything.
The next day we asked to change rooms and it was done so we decided to stay more nights.during this week, many people slept in this communicating room, and every day people were more or less angry. Some asked to change like us, some asked to be refunded... Overall, nobody stayed more than one night in this concomitant double room . All the owners were able to say was ''we understand, sorry...'' but no action. It is a proper swindle, they may practice for a long time but they do not seem ashamed of themselves . Because, If this shared rooms were clearly explicites in booking, I believe some people would accept it. But it is very wrong and dishonest to just put people in this room without any warning.
What else ? Breakfasts. On booking, it is a contentinal breakfast, meaning some sweet breakfast, eggs, tomatoes etc. On the first morning we got it. Second morning just 3 slices of bread and honey, which is not enough for 2 people hiking. I read the reviews and then understood that these problems were frequent. Again, for the next days, we asked for a more complete breakfast and we got it. In this place, if you don't ask, you will have minimal service and they won't care.
The family may be nice people, but they are very odd. If you're looking for a guesthouse to be in contact with local citizens, just forget about it. They hosted us, but this was not a warm and welcoming stay.
Last but not least ! The day before the last night, they asked us if we were going to leave. We did not understand as the previous day we confirmed one more night and they even wrote down the receipt. We answered no, why ? They said 3 people booked the triple room and we had to leave. Just to set the context, it was early in the morning and we had an appointment for rafting. They told us to go to another house and leave the room, we were astonished by their gall! We disagreed as we booked and We went rafting really worried the owners would take our luggage out. This final act is the reason why we think they are not a trustworthy lodging.
There are Good things still : you can do laundry if you ask, house is well cleaned and beautiful, good location, WiFi, breakfast well cooked... We did not totally dislike, that is why we stayed one week to explore the national park. However be careful if you go there, it would be wonderful with less omissions or false advertising.
