Where to stay in Zabljak

I visited this hotel as a tour leader with a group of 25 persons, in April 2025. It is a beautiful mountain hotel but need better management. Be careful the hotel has no elevator. So, if you have mobilities issues reconsider and if you have a room in the upper floors and a heavy luggage you need assistance. I consider myself a world traveller, someone who likes nice places,including hotels. I loved this hotel. The staff was amazing, and this is what made the entire experience extra special. The food is the best!!! Location is in the city centre. Hotel rooms clean and tidy. Loved this place so much and highly recommend it!

Nice restaurant with great food... and given the location mot expensive

It is about the restaurant. We loved it! Very good choice of food. Tasty, good value, freshly made dishes. Fried fish with potatoes is absolutely delicious 😋 Definitely recommend 👌 Yes, unfortunately people are smoking right there... But, overall, it is way better than everything else you can find in the area of Zabljak or Kalasin.

Unusual but cozy design. Mix of room types. Som rooms have balconies.

The staff (Boyan) greeted us in a very friendly manner and explained where we could park our motorcycles safely. He also showed me around the rooms I had booked (3) for my group. He clearly explained everything about the hotel and the menu. The food was excellent and although the rooms were a little tired they were very comfortable.

Amazing! I had the worst day with all sorts of things going wrong until I got to this place already a bit late at night. And then the staff was so unbelievably warm, kind, approachable and accommodating, they all made me feel right at home and made me forget about all the hard day I had. Very nice hotel and excellent hospitality

It's just a bit outside town however its still 5min ride from Zabljak. The service is great, everyone is very friendly! Breakfast is very good, not as varied as some other hotels but very delicious. We also tried some homemade pies (attached photo). We booked via phone call and got a room price of 60e per night per person, and it was free for two children as well. Also there is a children's playground...

The polar star is a little bit outside town. The view from the rooms is great, everything was clear and the breakfast delicious. The only thing that bothered us is, that the walls are very thin and loud neighbors can be heared in your room. Also the elevator is not good for people that don’t like narrow spaced or are easily scared by elevators. He seemed quiet bumby

We enjoyed the hotel and the breakfast and dinner. The only thing that bothers me is the stairs at the entrance to the hotel and also towards the elevator... In my opinion, paving or building a slope where you can drag your luggage would solve a lot for elderly or disabled people.

Perfect place to stay while you're exploring Durmitor. Hotel was clean, food options great -breakfast, which was included in price, and dinner buffet, which is very reasonably priced. Stuff was friendly any helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

During our reservation, there was an overbooking problem. By the way, the staff offered us another (nearby) structure at lower price. They also offered us some drinks to excuse the disservice. Very kind from them! Finally, buffet breakfast was rich and tasty. So, i would definitely recommend this structure!

It is very hard to find good place to stay and eat in the mountains, hence the quality of this venue is especially appreciated. The restaurant is a more quite alternative to the ones inside the village. Food was very typical for the region. The service was good, however, their food menu could get a makeover

Very few employes and very slow serving.

The location is great, the staff are service and fast, the food is solid. There is a sense of smoking in the restaurant where there is a sign of a ban on smoking, and bad music that is not so loud.

The hotel is located in the small town of Zablik next to the Tomizar National Forest Park. The view is outside the window, and the room is small and cozy. I especially recommend the hotel for dinner. The beef is very good. We ordered another serving after eating it.

The hotel is very close to the lake, and it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the entrance. The hotel has welcome juice and wine, which is very considerate. The facilities are better, but the overall experience is good.

One of the points of our trip to Montenegro was the town of Zabljak with the wonderful Black Lake nature reserve. For the night, we chose the Soa hotel and this is the best choice in this place. Great place. Spacious room with fireplace. Beautiful view. Good location not far from Black Lake. Not bad breakfast. Nothing supernatural but you won't go hungry. One minus is untrained staff. The fireplace started to smoke and smoke went into the room. The guy who came from reception didn't know how to fix it.

The hotel itself is located in the very center of the city which is great, however it is in the middle of some renovations at the time of this review, so you will not find it aesthetically pleasing as there are building materials and rubble all around the hotel. Perfect silent rest! Very comfortable and clean room, we enjoyed the food and especially the staff, they helped us a lot (to have the most delicious food, to have massage at Spa place, to get a taxi to Biogradska Gora). My husband and I highly recommend this place for 2-3 nights stay to walk around and recharge. Attached photo shows the view from our room which is great 💚

Nice, but unreasonable expensive

Good service at the reception and the restaurant. Unfortunately due to heavy snow, the power went out in the whole area. They have a generator, but it was stopping just as much as going. Due to the power outage some of the rooms were freezing cold, but in the the restaurant they made due and everything was served on time. Wery nice staff.

A decent hotel that’s ideally located to explore the surrounding area. No air conditioning, but food is good and plentiful. Rooms are clean and staff are friendly and helpful. No kettle in the room, which seems to be normal for Montenegro. It was a pleasant place to stay.

Amazing pool. Rude staff - overall tired and in need of care and attention. Food bad. Good food choices in town - French bakery, Italian food. Not much to choose from but needs a makeover and some additional investment to make it live up to 4 star rating.

The rooms are outdated, mattrass is so old and uncomfortable seems like they are not changed from hotel opening, Beautiful woods and nature around tho. Spa treatments offered only after 4PM big let down as I needed to travel. Definitely alternative accommodation next time in beautiful Kolasin.

We stayed at the Dream House Hotel on our 2 week tour of Montenegro. The hotel itself felt stylish and quite new. However, we would agree with other guests that soundproofing could be better. The most magical and special stay at Dream House. We came for our anniversary and the receptionist made special effort to make it a wonderful stay. The host and receptionist really made our weekend, from recommendations of where to go, to wearing more layers (as it's a little cold on walks). She really did all she could for a nice stay.
