Gillieru Harbour Hotel

On a ten day holiday in May, we settled into our hotel. A stunning entrance with attentive staff all around you. You have a little coffee shop where you can purchase limited warm food as well as a very nice slice of carrot cake. Coffee is superb.
Breakfast is in the restaurant, which is set slightly apart to eliminate evening noise.
Two lifts are available to transport you to your floor, or if you feel energetic, take the stairs.
Our room was basic but functional. It was in need of a bit of attention, which I am sure it will receive as updates have been happening between seasons. Our room has a shower room which was nice and big. The temperature control is delicate, but once set, it is fine. Water pressure is low, but remember you are in a different country, and the water flows from a tank of the roof. Hence, gravity is at its lowest the closer you are to the top floor. Nothing that will stop you from having a shower.
Your room is made every day, and should you require a new towel, it is provided.
Breakfast was great ,plenty of choice from continental to cooked. Everything was fresh and tasted great.
Easy reach to all restaurants and the all-important bus station .

The hotel is located in a nice area close to the harbour and walking distance to some nice walking area and restaurants.
The cleanness of hotel can be better.
The breakfast was a appointment. Not tasty not much options.
But the view from the rooms was nice.
Also if you come from airport is more convenient to get a uber or taxi, using public transport needs a change and there was a bad traffic.

We enjoyed a wonderful family holiday. The hotel is very well located with excellent views. The pool is very good and it is usually not too busy. Swimming in the sea is possible right next to the hotel.

This was an amazing experience at Gillieru Harbour Hotel! I would highly recommend, the rooms are clean, staff is so attentive, professional and polite. Hotel lobby and amenities are really great, love the pool, the ocean (cement) beach is also such an experience with crystal clear water! The views are breathtaking and included breakfast is really convenient!

Lovely hotel... staff were very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast offered a reasonable choice although hot food could have done with being a bit hotter. If you have a hire car there is plenty of on street parking within a couple of minutes walk from hotel - occasionally a space directly out front. Pool area was kept clean and tidy and there were plenty of sunbeds available. There was a deal of unwelcome noise from some guests that perhaps the hotel could have dealt with but this is our only real complaint.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Definitely one of the best located hotels you can get. Absolutely worth it to book a room with sea view. It is very tranquil in the mornings. The restaurant that belongs to the hotel is very nice as well and offers decent breakfast in the mornings. You can also have good pizza in the Cafe on the ground floor and lovely cocktails in the restaurant in the evenings! We definitely will stay here again when we come back!

I booked a room for myself, as a solo traveller, and a standard single room was confirmed for me. However about 2 weeks before I travelled, I emailed the hotel directly and asked if there was any possibility of upgrading my room to a double for single occupancy. They replied with a confirmation of a double room, at no extra cost. My room was excellent on the first floor with a large balcony overlooking the sea, west facing. The room facilities were excellent, had a nice shower with hot water, mini fridge, kettle and tea and coffee provided. Breakfast were plentiful, ranging from full English, toast, bread rolls, various meats, fruit, cereals, yogurts and croissants. The staff were friendly and curtious. The hotel is situated on the sea front, with lovey promenades to walk tomother areas. Across from the hotel is accessible swimming arrears. The hotel was value for money and I would definitely recommend the Gillieru.
