Consists of one 1-storey buildings and eight 2-storey cottages.

Beach: public sandy beach of Grand Baie, the first coastal line. Umbrellas, chairs, towels – free of charge.

Staff are all very warm, genuine and friendly. Food is very good. Gardens are very well maintained, like a tropical paradise. Safe, happy child friendly hotel. Nice pool. Location very good but I gave 4 instead of 5 stsrs, as on weekends there is a nightclub nearby that blasts music all night. Animation staff are all fantastic, but could improve on organising more guest activities on the volleyball / badminton play area. In other hotels 20 minutes before a game of football/ volleyball, staff would actively go around asking guests to participate, but not here, so the daily 4pm volleyball game rarely happens.

We came here for family vacation and we are more than happy with the hotel services and accommodation.
It is a small hotel, not so many rooms, boutique style hotel with a beautiful creole style decoration.
We request special food for breakfast which are served everyday with love. We really appreciate and was a really kind gesture.
We had a nice room and was clean and well done everyday.
We had nice outings as well recommended by the ream of the hotel. We recommend the hotel.

I recently stayed at Hotel Veranda in Grand Baie and had a mixed experience that I believe is worth sharing for future guests.
Pros:
• Excellent location: The hotel is right on the beach and just a short distance from the lively center of Grand Baie, making it easy to explore the area.
• Welcoming staff: The team at reception and around the hotel generally offer a warm welcome, which adds a nice touch to the arrival experience.
• Range of services: There is a good variety of services offered on-site, which gives guests plenty of options for relaxation and entertainment.
• Good value for money: The pricing is competitive for the location and facilities, making it an accessible option in the Grand Baie area.
• Tastefully decorated rooms: The interiors of the rooms are pleasant and well-maintained, creating a comfortable atmosphere, whilst the bed (mattress) itself wasn’t very comfortable.
Cons:
• Underwhelming catering: The food experience was disappointing, with very small portions and quality that didn’t meet expectations. I asked for soft boiled eggs at breakfast and received eggs that weren’t cooked enough.
• Noise issues: Rooms are not well insulated, and conversations or movements from neighboring rooms or the outside can be clearly heard, which affects rest and privacy.
• Limited views: Despite being beachfront, most rooms do not offer sea views, which might be a letdown for some guests.

We recently enjoyed a 10-day stay at Veranda Grand Baie and had a very positive experience overall.
The hotel's atmosphere was consistently welcoming and friendly, which we truly appreciated. It provided a quiet and peaceful base for our time there, which was exactly what we were looking for.
While we didn't participate extensively in the offered entertainment programs ourselves, we noted there seemed to be a good variety available for guests. The presence of a well-maintained gym and activity areas was also a plus.
A particular highlight was the exceptional service from our housekeeper, Vimah. Her genuine friendliness was evident and very much appreciated. She maintained our room to an excellent standard – it was consistently well-maintained and clean, always feeling fresh, almost like returning to a newly prepared room each day. We are sincerely grateful for her attentive work.
We are also pleased to note that the few specific requests we did make during our stay were handled promptly and efficiently by the staff.
This was a comfortable and hospitable stay, and we would certainly recommend this hotel.

We came back 6 years later to the Mauritius 1st time to Veranda Grand Baie, we are happy to be back and we are so amazed how the staff are so helpful and kind.
We are glad to experience such hospitality, my wife got injured and you people take good care of us and we are grateful for that.
The ambiance is great, chilling vibes and thanks to the staff.
A recommendation, maybe before closing the bar asked the guest if they want to take another drink.

I recently stayed at Veranda Hotel in Grand Baie, and while the overall experience had some positives, there were several disappointments.
Starting with the good, the location is fantastic—right by the beach with beautiful views and easy access to local attractions. The hotel itself is well-designed and has a nice ambiance, making it a great place to relax.
However, the service was extremely slow, from housekeeping and restaurant service. We also encountered a cockroach in our room, which was concerning. Adding to the frustration, the hotel did not give us the exact room we booked, which was disappointing after a long journey and they didn’t even compensated us with any good things or services. Basic amenities like a toothbrush were missing bring yours, and the cleaning service took a long time to attend to requests, towels old and used 1000000 times. The attitude of the workers was very rude and not helpful.
Overall, while the location and setting are great, the service and cleanliness need serious improvement. If management improves these aspects, this hotel could be a much better experience.

We have been very satisfied with our stay at Veranda Grand Baie. We spent 8 days here and they were amazing. We celebrated our honeymoon here and we got very warmly welcomed by the staff.
Thorough the whole vacation the personal was very kind, helpful and polite. The rooms are big and very nicely decorated.
The food was amazing, every night there is Live music.
They provide a lot of free activities that you should definitely try out, like scuba diving, rum tasting, glassbottom boat drive and sports.
We would totally recommend it!

Just an amazing place to stay. The hotel is a smaller resort style hotel but it is so personal as a result. It’s really is a beautiful hotel. The staff are truly brilliant; so friendly and approachable.
Little touches they did for our honeymoon were great.
Also a great location for beaches and a very short walk into Grand Baie.

This hotel is beautiful. Great location, beautiful views from the pool and the amazing friendly, courteous staff and of course Freddy the Frog! The rooms were cleaned daily, fresh towels if your required and of course a lovely fresh bed to climb into every night. On arrival at hotel we were met by 2 lovely ladies who welcomed us into the hotel and were very attentive to our needs. The gentleman who worked around the dining area and pool tending to our needs even before we knew what we need was great and some of the bar staff, Sam, in particular.
However for all the good points there are a few. Not so good points. If you are looking for a holiday where there are lots of activities and late night bars and dancing the night away, this is not the place for you. Our last night the bar was closed at 22.30 and the entertainment stated that he had complaints regarding music being played too late into the evening!
Not enough parasols by the pool.
First few days of our holiday was struck down by an upset tummy, concluded it was possibly food poisoning, I had only eaten eggs for breakfast. Stayed clear of eggs until last day has an omelette and struck down again 😒. Drinks in the bars were confusing. If you wanted a beer and not bottled you had to go to the beach bar and last night had run out of certain drinks.
We will be sad to go but returning to our lives back in UK feeling relaxed and refreshed.
