Reviews
Special mention to Mervin and Priya In the catering department. They looked after us very well.
The location of this resort is perfect.
Has a lovely pool, spa and its own private beach with water activities.
Book your stay and you won't be disappointed.
Some of the staff need more training on how to interact with clients and how to communicate with them. There are also wonderful friendly bubbly staff who are pleasure to deal with like Aurore from the boutique, a very bubbly lively young lady who absolutely adores dealing with people and makes every encounter with her a joyful occasion...then there are the absolute miserable ones best to avoid.
2. The soundproofing of the room is very poor. You can hear the noise outside until midnight!
3. Bath towels were not changed one day
4. The service is very untimely.
5. The phone in the room is broken and the front desk cannot be contacted.
6. Breakfast is very average, with few varieties and average taste.
7. didn‘t notify the extra bed fee in advance and charging an unreasonable extra bed fee upon check-out.😡
Super service, I would mention Moorghen who was extremely helpful and great service from Ajay.
Only issue was some guests reserving sunbeds and not using them for some hours, thus the 4 rather than 5 stars.
We were b&b, breakfast very good and ate in the Lazy Lobster a couple of times which was good food and service.
I heard they also have some kind of daypass…we are surely going back there!
We travelled as a family, 14 month son, my pregnant wife and I for 10 days in Mauritius. This was not the hotel for us. For older children fine, 3+, it would work but for any younger it's just not equipped from a rooms, food, timings of restaurants, entertainment point of view. We stayed all inclusive. In a family room, ground floor.
The staff are lovely, accommodating and warm but fundamentally Kuoni, who we booked this through can't in good conscience recommend this to any other families in a similar situation. We'll be taking this up with them directly too.
The standard of the food was genuinely dreadful, we didn't travel to Mauritius to eat pizza and chips, let alone really bad pizza and chips. The all inclusive menu was this, a Panini, a burger and fried fish. Otherwise a buffet. Only one restaurant was included.
Even though we had all inclusive we ate out at least once a day.
The final straw was a rat in the bedroom, we checked out the next morning and had a fantastic last third to the holiday elsewhere on the east coast.
My only regret is not having checked us out sooner but the policy was that we'd have lost everything paid; in the end even that didn't matter to us.
In my opinion it's a 3 star with a nice pool and excellent caring staff who do go the extra mile, it's just not enough.
An enormous disappointment.
