Coral Azur Beach Resort Mont Choisy

We were so looking forward to a nice Saturday but had a very disappointing experience at Coral Azur.
Not everything advertised in their brochure is true.
Will definitely NEVER go back there again.

1. We went for a day package with room use. Check in was supposed to be at 10h and check out at 18h but when we reached there, they told us that check out was not 18h but 17h and because there were too many bookings, we had to check out at 16h15. They did compensate for that by giving us cocktails which were not included in the day package but this was very unprofessional from the hotel’s part and looks like they couldn’t even manage the planning for their bookings.
2. Shower drain in our room was clogged. Same for the shower drain in the shower room above the reception (the one for the hotel guests without room)
3. During lunch time we ordered our drinks as soon as we were seated, however we had the time to get our food and were about to get our 2nd plate and the drinks were not there yet. Seems like the waitress did not get the drinks order to the bar.
4. Flies were everywhere in the dining area, even around the food buffet. Although the main dishes were good, we couldn’t even eat peacefully and had to keep pushing off the flies while eating. They had some candles put on one table only and for the other guests (even ourselves) no candles were given.
5. Staff at the restaurant were very unprofessional, they were even arguing among themselves in front of the guests.
6. Dessert was quite disappointing. There were some cookies/snacks in jars but some of them were stale.
7. On the brochure, it is mentioned that as activity there is tennis included, but upon getting there and when we asked if there are tennis courts at the hotel, the receptionist said no, we told him that this is included in the brochure (from deals.mu), he told us that he told deals.mu to remove this. However, when we looked at the brochure at the hotel itself, we noticed that “tennis” was also included in their activities there as well.
8. The pool was very small and looks like it was not cleaned for several days. There were sand/small branches and even pool algae which were starting to grow on the walls of the pool.
