Kota Kinabalu, Off Jalan Sepangar Bay 🧭 Map
Nice location with beautiful beach and clean sea. Unfortunately 2 of the resort restaurants were closed, lack of food variety. Staff nice and helpful. Certain hotel and public areas would require renovation/upgrade. Absolute highlights are the monitor lizards and monkeys freely moving on hotel premises.
I recently stayed at Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas was well-maintained, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. The location, however, is quite isolated, as the resort is located in Karambunai Peninsula, about 30–40 minutes from Kota Kinabalu city. It’s perfect if you want a peaceful escape by the beach, but...
Nice, little cosy place, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Was there mid june when it was not too crowded, had a lot of space at the swimming pool and the beach. Service was prompt, breakfast spread was nice, with a good variety. Since it is isolated, had to drive out a bit to visit the nearest mall. Need to be extra careful around the area at night as there are no/minimal lighted lampposts...
great location and great view. But hopefully room must ready earlier before checkin
I had booked an ocean view room, as confirmed in my reservation. However, upon check-in, I was initially assigned a room overlooking a pond with a large tree obstructing the view. Fortunately, the receptionist was extremely helpful and promptly arranged a room that matched my original request. Overall, my stay was average, with cleanliness being just acceptable. I was quite exhausted from the check...
It's a nice place if you're looking for peace and quiet, away from city life. But going during festive season is probably not a good idea.

Quite good view and location. Only one problem is the restroom facilities are a bit old, but still ok la
Easy gateway to the islands around the Sutera harbour. The hotel has good facilities but breakfast can be improved.
Very clean room and the hotel staff are very helpful. The most disappointing thing about the hotel is lack of breakfast choices .
The hotel is only 5 minutes from the city centre and easily accessible using grab mostly. The room is spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is good and got many choices such as plain/chicken porridge, breads, soup and salads. But better go down early as there is so many visitors.
Great view with a variety type of breakfast . I enjoyed every moment here , the most recommended place to stay for newlyweds 🫶🏻 . Best place for honeymoon also 🥰🥰
I was really impressed with the room and services. Friendly staff from the receptionist, kitchen and Housekeeper. Salutes. Im sorry that I accidentally broke the glass. The Housekeeping and kitchen staff took care of it very well . God bless. Keep up the good work. Who ever attended to my room 206 on 23/5 please give them an excellence service

Everything was perfect. The pools, the rooms and the food was so good. Lots of activities for kids. Also very very relaxing: drinks served to the pool. I’d go back there again 😀.
Very comfortable and a lovely place to spend a few days!
The hotel is very nice but a bit aged, need to refurbish
Sorry RRR, maybe I was having a high expectation. I waited for 45 min to check-in (From 3pm-3:45pm) but the service staff was great and helpful with our bags to the room. Surprisingly for a 5 star hotel resort, the room is a bit old and the walls are mouldy. Sofa with stain and dirty carpet. Funny enough that the king sized bed are two twin-bed combined, with a small gap in between. so we have to sleep...
It was the best breakfast place i have ever been. The ocean view is fantastic in the morning.
All good like before.. only our special request not recieved by the resort. So have to wait longer for baby cot, sofa bed be ready..

Great hotel. Technically you can spend the whole day at the hotel.
We enjoyed our stay at Shangri-la Tanjung Aru. Everything was smooth. The staff were very friendly and their service was beyond excellence.
It’s so beautiful hotel. With a lot of activities for kids and adult can enjoy different pool. No crowd as the hotel is really big I guess. Amazing sunset view and morning sea breeze boosted our vitamin D. Had great time here.

Great location, decent stay at Promenade Hotel Stayed at Promenade Hotel and overall, it was a pretty good experience—especially for the location. It’s close to the popular seafood spots and just next to Bataras if you’re keen to shop for local supermarket items. We also walked to Imago Mall in about 15–20 minutes. Was told it’s also near Centrepoint, though we didn’t walk there ourselves. Surprisingly...
Location is just opposite Marriot but much cheaper. Had food poisoning at some hawker place and went back to hotel and the staff immediately arranged for me to be sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital A&E Grateful for the care shown. Too bad I was in pain and couldn't recognize who sent me to the hospital.
The location is good and easy to get transportation. Breakfast is good with a lot of varieties
I had a pleasant stay at Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu. The location is excellent — within walking distance to the waterfront, night market, and shopping malls. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice view of the city. Breakfast had a good variety, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. It’s a great choice for both business and leisure travelers. I would...
Terrible experience no water in the hotel from night until next day 2pm. No action taken by the hotel. After numerous complaints and complaint to trip.com they send me bottles water for me to shower. Located in the center of the city of Kota Kinabalu. Nice sea view especially during the sunset.
Rooftop restaurant was the highlight of this trip. My preferred hotel when i travel to kk. Thank you Le Meridien team for making my stay comfortable and memoriable. I love every part of it. Will definately be back.. thank you
The hotel has a good view of the islands and jetty as shown in the pictures . The cleanliness of the the hotel is worrying as a Marriott entity . Still would come back here provided they will renovate the hotel as what the staff claimed . Mobile key didn’t work throughout my stay quite disappointing .
Started and ended our 8-day Sabah adventure at Le Meridien KK — and we’re so glad we did. 💛 Spacious rooms, beautiful sea views, and a location that’s truly hard to beat. Yes, the carpark’s a little dated, but everything else more than made up for it: efficient staff, a decent breakfast spread, and the best kind of convenience — family-friendly eateries, laundry, and even a massage spot just steps...

The Hyatt Regency in Kota Kinabalu offers a phenomenal view of the South China Sea which you can request it via booking. Excellent place if you love peace and good care this is the right place
Relaxing environment and good service esp. the credit shall go to the F&B team, though a bit pricey but the food quality is there. Snorkelling at the beach is a must go, if you stay here for a couple of days you may bypass the island hopping.
Kayaked and snorkelled, good fun. Our 2 room villas was nice. Spacious, clean and comfortable. The seafood was awesome! But the sand flies... 😬
This is a magnificent place, but everything is spoiled by mosquitoes and midges. In four days they were completely eaten by mosquitoes. Well, in addition, I would like to more thoroughly clean the beach from plastic

Nice resort and friendly staff Only spend one night is not enough to enjoy the view, water sports and spa.
Snorkelling, paddle boarding, and kayaking around the resort was incredible. At first, we were mildly disappointed (with humanity, not necessarily the resort) because most corals seemed unfortunately dead, but the more we explored, especially during high tide, the more stuff we saw - clownfish (Nemo), Dory fish (Dory), parrot fish, giant parrot fish, giant clams, squids, stingrays, urchins, damsel...

Good comfortable hotel sadly its a bit noisy from passing traffic at front of hotel windows are only single glazed but other wise great location good rooms comfortable bed. Good clean room very hot shower Tv lacking channels sadly . But overall a Good stay ..
Strategically located in the heart of the city at an affordable price. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Check-in was rather slow. The room service took quiet some time to provide the additional bed we requested upon check-in. Room was equipped with basic necessities, save for hair dryer. Hotel interior is a bit outdated but it's comfortable, clean, and well-kept nonetheless.
Room is specious for one person but outside is noisy, i hear door banged throughout the night, didn’t get a peaceful sleep.
