Lovely spa experience package for 2 pax. 60 mins beach side massage and nature walk for around rm600 total. December 2022.
The beach is very beautiful and the view is good if you manage to get it in your room. Overall the room is also quite big.
It's a fantastic place for resting. All staff were very kind and helpful and they offers various benefits for GC members like welcome amenity and late-checkout until 4 pm. After Covid-19 pandemic, I'd like to visit again.
Breathtaking scenary, friendly and helpful staff, & tiptop cleanliness. Also can do many outdoor activity here, kids friendly. Highly recommended.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the resort. The rooms are extremely clean and beds very comfortable. The staff are exceptional, every staff member we passed acknowledged our presence in a warm friendly way. I have never received such friendliness and warmth on a such a continual basis. Even at peak and busy hours, the staff maintain excellent and professional services to all the guests. Really appreciate one of the staff, Named Aliff at the counter reception, he managed to help me with room selection when there was an error in the system when choosing a room. He treats my situation in perfect manners and makes us feel in good condition during our stay. Two Thumbs up and kuddos to...
Amazing pool! My daughter enjoyed it to the max! And we loved the room too. The bathtub and bathtub shower was a bit wonky, but everything else is good.
The sound proof is somehow below standard you expect from a 5 stars hotel. U can hear the sound from above floor if kids staying above floor and the worst part is the bathroom. U can hear it quite clear from next room. Other than that is good
Great location hotel with great privacy, though full of tourists. Good accessibility to airport and nearest big shopping mall. Private seaside and lifestyle/resort living. Breakfast selection is great, staff are efficient in arranging the seatings and turn over of the tables despite long queue. Overall great experience from checkin, breakfast, island hopping activities.
Lots of activities, 3 resorts in one place, great breakfast buffet, helpful and friendly staffs, private beach, great location and ocean view.
about 10 minutes from the airport and 7 minutes away from the Handcraft Market, this hotel is totally a steal! spacious rooms, and superb foods as well. not to mention their friendly staff. definitely gonna come here again!

Good place to spend time away from hustle and bustle of city life. Happy with a very good and well maintained golf course next door, a challenging course in its own character.
I must say it's been wonderful experience staying there last time. Excellent service by Ms. Vanessa who is always welcoming us and without fail entertain us through out this amazing journey. The room was very clean and tidy. Plus point for the decoration they prepared for our honeymoon was so gorgeous. The pool and beach are so beautiful, definitely worth it. Had our candle light dinner over there...
I’m a female solo traveller and staying at Nexus was nothing but best choice that I made. If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing away from the city, I definitely recommend Nexus. Breakfast was so far so good (I love to try new food so it was perfect for me) and workers here were very kind and super helpful. And if you have any spare time, try Borneo spa at the resort. It is worthy.
Absolutely stunning resort, 5 stars all the way. My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights on our honeymoon and it was the most memorable and favorite part of our time in Malaysia. The service we experienced was unparrelled, the team did everything they could to make our time there perfect. It was truly so wonderful and highly recommend for anyone! Lots of kids activities, the beach was crystal clear...
When I arrived at the Resort I was impressed by the stunning views of the ocean and the resort's lush surroundings. The resort is situated on a beautiful beachfront property that offers guests the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The rooms at the Resort are spacious, luxurious, and well-appointed. I particularly enjoyed the comfortable bed and the amazing view of the ocean...
Good place to relax. Breeze sound of the ocean is so relaxing. Other than that is not really up for compliments. Service is just fair, only two check-in staff were on duty there during 25/12/2022 check-in time and also it's the peak season day. Just imagine the waiting line will be. Facilities around the premises is old and need replacement or maintenance. Location is deep in nowhere. And during meal...

Comfortable stay at the beach. Gorgeous view of the sea, islands, Mount Kinabalu. My 16-month old likes Kid Zone & children water-park. Staff are professional, friendly, helpful. Food, coffee, dessert, wine was amazing too!
It's a lovely hotel with spacious rooms and fantastic view of the ocean. Breakfast buffet and Saturday night buffet were good. Restaurant staff were very responsive and helpful despite the huge crowd. They looked a little understaffed with room cleaners looking tired - they didnt empty waste bins and also the bathroom didn't look like it was well cleaned. Overall a pretty good experience.
(Have not stayed at hotel) Very nice looking hotel. We were only passing by, but needed to pray and were able to use the prayer room. We really would have liked to stay here but it was a little out of our budget. However, this place looks fantastic and is an excellent location next to a clean public beach, only 5min walk. Excellent views and pristine sand. Our kids loved playing here and the sunset...
Awesome place to stay. We stayed in the Kinabalu wing of the hotel. The hotel has a private beach that only guests can use. A live band was performing at the beachfront till late. As it was Friday, the seafood buffet dinner was available, and we took it. It had a generous spread of food. The breakfast spread was amazing too. Higky recommended!
The hotel is a very comfy stay. The room was big, quiet and had very good view. All the staffs were very polite and liked to greet us every time we walk past them. The breakfast buffet was great, with good variety of food options. And the hotel is near to the beach.

The sound proof is quite bad, I can hear the kids crying through out the night and people pulling chairs. Good: Good location. Okay service and food. Bad: Slightly overpriced compared to other hotels close by. Ugly: Bad ventilation in the bathroom, causing black mold. Gym is pretty much not usable - strong musty smell, machines out of order (only one treadmill which does not work)
Good location. Decent breakfast and good pricing for a 4 star hotel. However they should have mentioned that the swimming pool is closed for maintenance until September on all booking sites. A bit disappointed. Hope the management does something about the gym, the equipments are like 20 years old.
Very strategic location. Philippines market, seafood market, todak and other popular market are nearby the hotel. You can walk if you want, but I would recommend Grab. The room is spacious and clean. I have nothing to complaint about the room.
Very comfortable room, with very functionally convenient toilet. Our seminar Rafflesia room was okay, projector and screen were clear, speaker and mic worked well, but would be better if the lights are little brighter, and also provide more power plugs around, on the walls. Love the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Food was just okay, if it can be improved, this hotel will keep going strong
Room condition just ok. There have a variety of food for breakfast. Table arrangements a bit crowded at restaurant. Swimming pool facing hotel restaurant a bit uncomfortable. Parking at the basement & fees are RM4.00/entry. Need to stamp the parking coupon before leaving. Gymnasium at level 1

5 star hotel located near CBD however without much of a sea view. Good facilities and service, the event team were quite good as we had a few event there. There is a chic bar located at the back and a rooftop bar/restaurant as well apart from the usual swimming pool & gym.
Had such an amazing stay here and everyone was extremely nice. The breakfast was amazing, by far one of the best that I have ever had. I got upgraded to a nice one bedroom suite, which really blew my mind by how big it was. Overall my entire stay was AMAZING and i will definitely be coming back to this hotel next time I visit KK!
Thoroughly enjoyed this place and would stay again. The staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble even from the weirdest requests - they were eager to please. The suite rooms were amazing and lots of space. The tea bar was an absolute delight and so was the lounge. I have stayed at this hotel for two nights in September 2022, and I had a wonderful experience. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. We booked a club room which is really value for money, this includes drinks and nice food. But also in the morning the breakfast is perfect.
A pleasant stay for one night. Received a complimentary coffee and entry pass to an art gallery. The staff always smiling too and helpful. You can enjoy drinking at the rooftop bar while enjoying sunset and live music. The pool is covered so you can swim without worry of the sun even at its peak.
Spacious rooms, good service and decent food at a reasonable price point. There are many decent 5-star hotels in the area but perhaps the highlight here would be watching sunset at the rooftop bar as the sea view and direction is perfect. Stayed in a sea view room and an area for improvement would be to clean the windows as the exterior was quite dirty and hindered the viewing experience.
This hotel is hands down my favorite in the Kota Kinabalu! Let me tell you why: The rooms are the best, offering a delightful combination of cleanliness and comfort that surpasses all others. First of all, let me start off saying this. I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone who is travelling to Kota Kinabalu to stay with them (if it is within your budget). Nice hotel, friendly staff, large spacious rooms. The shower was hot with great water pressure. Walking distance to most amenities/attractions in KK, right on the water front. The buffet breakfast was one of the best that I've ever had. Only point for improvement is that the rooms were very dated. The swimming pool was large and clean.
Booked this room 1 day before checking in. Room price was affordable. Room was spacious and clean. The location is very near to lots of food shop houses. The view at the bar itself was fantastic. My experience in Pan Borneo Hotel, the room temperature (AC) was not too cold I slept comfortably during my stay there. The room rate is reasonable but I'd rate 5 stars for room and the services. The whole area is very convenient to the guests. Sadly i didn't get the chance to plunge into the swimming pool... Perhaps my next stay. 🤗 Keep it up and well done, Pan Borneo Hotel! 👍👍

Great service from the crew, however some amenities were not well maintained. 1) My safe is not working 2) The cupboard is not able to fully open, because the door latch is blocking the way of the cupboard, hindering the door to open fully 3) The drainage does not drains water fast enough, resulting in water to clog up easily when showering. 4) No obvious labels as to which side is hot/cold water in...

Nice hotel in a good location. Seems to perhaps be the more western end of KK, but that's just my observation. The shopping mall across the road is huge. One of the best hotel in kk. Location very strategic in the city centre. Room was beautiful and comfortable. Amazing sea view. Toilet very clean and water presssure was good. The lobby of this hotel look very luxury. The lift can be access by key card so the safety of guest can be guaranteed. The staff are giving excellent customer service. Will definitely stay here again in the future. ❤
Pros: 1. Many cafes/restaurants around the hotel, there is also Watson and Guardian 2. The room is ok and has basic amenities (premium budget hotel) Cons: 1. Not within walking distance to Pasar Sinsuran/ Filipino Market 2. Parking is limited (you have to share it with the customers of the surrounding shops)
Small and cozy room which is good enough for solo traveller. No fridge, water dispenser and iron board is provided at public place beside lift. The windows at buffet breakfast restaurant are dirty and spoilt the nice view. Looks like it has been a long time didn't clean them. The food provided for meat is only beef and no chicken (only chicken sausage available. Unfair for those who don't consume beef.
The view was nice and the room was spacious. That’s it. The service were quite disappointing. The most disappointing part was the parking lot, it was very limited and inconvenient. If you are travelling with cars, would not recommend this place! Please improve the parking system. Overall is good.
Nice, clean with sea view (for now). Buffet is nice but can be better. They should be more flexible for check in before 3pm. We had 2 hrs flight, we arrived to hotel 2.30pm they didnt allow us to check in earlier. I would take down one star as the hotel prefer to save money over allowing guests to check in earlier.
My best choice of hotel. Their room is big. Theres a lot of space for kids to play. Their food is also nice. Its easy to find food in here. The best thing is, the hotel connected to the mall. Good friendly staff, fun excursions-mangrove kayaking, snorkeling/scuba, jungle trek to private beach/turtle rescue centre. Food is generally good though a little overpriced but drinks are unbelivable
Just went for a field visit to the Turtle Centre and the management served hi-tea. OMG the desserts were so good especially this choc pastry. Very well ventilated resort. Friendly staff.
Almost everything is fantastic! Super friendly straff great service! Very Nice rooms. The only thing not worth its money are the buffé. Go for a la carte or poolside instead...
The rooms are great, but almost all are a long, inclined walk. Buffet nights are bland and not worth the 140R, go for any a la carte instead, esp the poolside Asian menu. Nature walk and snorkel great

If you're looking for a budget-friendly hotel in the heart of Kota Kinabalu, the Hotel Shangri-La is an excellent choice. I stayed here for three nights and was impressed with the overall experience. The location is perfect, right in the center of KK city, making it easy to explore the area. The staff at the hotel are incredibly friendly, helpful, and always available to assist you. They were quick...
Comfortable hotel to stay, clean and we'll maintained. Design and furniture a bit old and look antique. The air-conditioning is centralized type not very cool during my stay but still acceptable. Bathroom equipped with bathtub, toiletries such soap, shampoo and teeth brush were provided. Overall a good place to stay.
My first trip to KK, so stayed at this hotel for 2 night. Connecting rooms deluxe twin. One of the kettle wasleaking, but then they replaced it once i reported it. The rooms were cleaned. Not much of a fancy, but overall had good stay there. Although i do believe its a bit expensive.
Stay 3 nights for business. The foods are first-class while lacking much variety. Room and its bathroom are kinda cramped with poor soundproofing, which might result from the age of the hotel, in other words, the room rate is affordable. Bed and the pillow are comfortable compared to the last hotel in Sibu. Supplies are sufficient while they've been placed in different drawers of different cabinets...
Good value for money hotel in KK. Excellent location and nearby to restaurants and amenities. My only grouse is that the central air conditioner exhaust fan was just outside my room on the 3rd floor and it was quite audible. I would avoid this room in the future.
Old hotel but well maintained. Seems popular among East-Asian group tourists. Room is comfortable, no foul smell is the room I stay (someone did complaint about it). Only that you cannot adjust the aircond temperature, I think the hotel tempered the controller. Walking distance to KK wet market area, around 15 minutes to go there. Breakfast selection is good enough...rice, noodles (soup base and...

Free wifi, clean room and toilet, iron and extra pillow available, if I remember correctly parking available for guests (because me and family only went here once when I was only 15 😅)... Friendly staff, they greeted us every time we gone out and came back.
Staff are wonderful, very helpful and friendly. Our room was a good size with all amenities provided. Hotel is in a great location, above a 7-11 and very close to Imago shopping mall. Really great stay overall.
Iron and iron table provided. Near groceries, shopping mall and restaurant. My experience on 3rd floor's wifi not so great. The aircond is loud but temperature great not too cold. And don't forget your card key if you are in urgent matters. Need to wait for the room service to open the door. The receptionist doesn't have a spare key... Hope they can improve
Room big and clean with convenience parking. Breakfast is good. Near Imago shopping and and Sutera Harbour.
A very nice small boutique hotel. An efficient and very friendly/ helpful staff. Room was clean' large with comfortable bed. I was on second floor back of the hotel and it was quiet. Good value...provides breakfast..room had small safe for valuables.
Stayed 4 nights and what a great hotel. Large , clean rooms and for the rate I paid breakfast was fantastic. Plenty of free parking available which I found convenient. Imago is just across the street. Don't be fooled with people like Mr. Johnny Hart who seems to have an axe to grind. Those reviews are not helpful as they are not honest. Also suggest going to the travel sites to get more honest reviews...
