Disappointing experience due to hidden costs and bad food

I stayed at this hotel and was shocked by the extra charges that were not disclosed in advance. It feels like they see their guests as nothing more than cash cows. Even the scooter rentals offered by the hotel are absurdly overpriced compared to standard rental companies, which often deliver the scooter for free. The hotel seems more focused on squeezing every penny out of their guests rather than ensuring a positive experience. Disappointing.

Good location. Good modern rooms. Poor acoustics as you could hear every word from the room next door and they weren’t being that loud. Tranquil and serene it is not. Full of screaming children all day. Two pools and the roof top one would be ideal for adult only. Sadly you get see an amazing sunset between the mountain backdrop with the noise of screaming children again. Glad I wasn’t on my honeymoon! Rooftop bar - unattended. When asking for service I was offered that I go down 6 floors to the downstairs bar and order from there.
Breakfast was the worst in any hotel on our trip and we have stayed in many hotels in Thailand over many years. For £75 a night there are considerably better options! The service is woeful and this is not to disrespect the Thais as I find them the most helpful and welcoming people in the world. But this has been shocking. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy large families, bad service and worse food.

This is a 2 star hotel where there’s no way any room should be more than 40 dollars a night. At the 100 dollar price point you will find MUCH better hotels in much better locations. The bathrooms smell awful despite being cleaned so think maybe something rotten in the drains. Instead of fixing the problem they drop air freshener to your room. So there’s smell of pee and artificial fragrance. The staff is nice but doesn’t appear to be very competent. The best part of the hotel isn’t part of the hotel- it’s the nice spa at the end of the street.
