Secret Garden Beach Resort

Myself, my partner and 5 year old son had the most wonderful time here over Christmas, we stayed for 5 days and loved every moment. We had a minor issue with first room as the steps were awkward for my partner as he recently had a hip operation but they kindly and without issue moved us to a different room/apartment with no fuss..all the staff were so kind and attentive around the whole establishment. The food is absolutely excellent 10/10. Entertainment was super and so was the location. It's a little gem, the pool is small but very pleasant and we felt like it was our own pool as hardly saw anyone else use it. They were very sweet and kind to my son which was very lovely. No complaints really, it really is a little gem of a place, our bed was nice and firm, only minor thing was our sons bed was not as comfy but that's only when I slept in it with him to get him to bed.. it should really only take weight of a small child. Thanks so much to all the staff there we had a wonderful time.

We were unfortunately stuck in our room both the days we were in Samui due to the rains. Our tours were also cancelled. Thankful that we were stuck here because we had an amazing view. The sea was literally only a step away from our room. And the restaurant was 2 steps away.
They had live music in the evenings (weekend) which we could hear from our room.
Breakfast options were adequate and very filling.

Secret Garden is an excellent meeting spot for sailors and adventurers alike. Nestled in a tranquil location, it offers a relaxed yet vibrant ambiance perfect for discussing plans, sharing stories, or simply enjoying a quiet respite.

The staff is welcoming and attentive, and the food and drinks are top-notch—featuring a variety of options that cater to both local and international tastes. It's a great place to unwind after a day at sea or prepare for your next voyage.

The setting, whether indoors or outdoors, is charming and inviting. Plus, it’s conveniently located, making it easy for sailors to find. A great place to gather with like-minded friends.

Highly recommend it for anyone in the maritime community or looking for a peaceful and well-maintained.

The restaurant is currently closed for renovations. But when open they do live music. Which might be great for some and a bother for others looking for quite.

Stayed 1 night but could've stayed longer as deluxe room was beautiful.

Excellent food & friendly staff. Rooms were perfect for us & a great price.
Location wise was perfect for where we wanted to stay. Bangrak is not the best beach but only a short distance from other beaches. Is a more laid back quiet area & perfect for relaxing.

Is the Secret Garden a "hidden gem"? Not quite, but it certainly comes close. Make sure you get one of the large, circular, and we'll appointed bungalows near the beach/pool. The restaurant food is really good and reasonably priced. It's a 45m walk to Fisherman's and is well served by supermarkets etc in the immediate area. One for any shortlist.

Great place. We only stayed two nights but we got the bungalow closest to the beach! Restaurant is on site, staff at the restaurant weren’t as friendly as staff on the islands but it was a great experience! Front desk staff were very helpful! I love that they refill your glass water bottle in the rooms. The outdoor bathrooms were kind of fun, too.

I will saw, the “Funny Day” boat next door does blast music all day; not idea for a mid day siesta. But nice when just hanging outside!

I was not staying in the hotel, so can’t talk about it but I often come to their restaurant. I am very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the European food they have, my medallions were excellent. I also love their gin tonics.

The place also hosts jam nights every Saturday where anyone can come up on stage and play/sing. Other nights, you can enjoy live music or DJs.

We stayed in the classic pool view bungalow for $48 a night which I thought was fair for what you get. The pool area is cute and surrounded by greenery and the resort is right on the beach. One complaint I have is that our bungalow was closest to the kitchen so we could hear music and people talking outside our wall. We were there during the week and the kitchen closed at 10pm so the latest we were disturbed was 11pm when people were leaving. I think if I came again I would request a room farther away. Our bungalow was one of the older ones so it was dated and quirky but clean with cold AC. All staff we interacted with were nice and helpful.
