Haad Khuad Resort

The most expensive accommodation of our stay in Thailand and also the worst...

If you want to relax and stay by the beach for your entire stay, this could be a good option.

Otherwise, it isolates you from the rest of the island. To get to the accommodation, there's a 3km 4x4 track. It's impossible to take it by scooter, so it will cost 100 baht per person for the transfer. Each outing for a group of 4 people will cost 800 baht, and that's if you have a scooter at the end of the track. Otherwise, each outing will cost 2,000 baht for 4 people for the day. Of course, if you leave earlier than 9 a.m. or return later than 6 p.m., costs are higher. What's more, the driver drives very fast and recklessly, and isn't even friendly.

The local staff, on the other hand, are much nicer. The rooms are decent, despite a very hard bed and a shower that doesn't always have hot water.
We were also supposed to work remotely during our stay, but this was impossible, firstly because the wifi is of catastrophic quality, but also because there's no electricity in the hotel from 4pm to 6pm.

So I wouldn't recommend this accommodation at all.

The road is so bad and steep that the only way to get to the resort is with a 4x4 truck taxi from the resort.
Having to pay to go to the and from the resort is the absolute worst thing to do to your guests.

Even though the sign says 100 baht per person I was charged a different amount every time. And after 7:30 it is impossible to get someone to give you a ride. So make sure you’re back before then otherwise you’ll be walking.

They really don’t understand how to run a business. By charging your guests to go to and from the resort you are losing money.
It’s a beautiful place and it should be full all year around.

But instead they chose to rip off there guests off by making them pay for a taxi that should be free. Which leads to a negative experience.

What a joke!!! The road is unbelievable bad, no normal cars or bikes can go through! After booking, they send a msg to offer a 4x4 pick up service, imagine that you can't go anywhere and leave hotel and come back without the pick up service! Absolutely scam and very bad, even the phone number doesn't work! I'm so unhappy and i cannot have a refund! DO NOT BOOK

An absolute scam. The road to the beach is impassable with anything other than a 4wd and they charge 100B per person for a taxi that takes 5 minutes.

We went halfway down the hill before counting it as a write off. The taxi price increases to 700B per person at night as well.

Impossible to get in contact with them, all the numbers I could find weren’t active anymore.

The bungalows are awesome. But somebody have stolen us 150 euros in this resort. We were in a view point and when we were back, we realized that we have been stolen.
