We loved our accommodation but the details on Tripadvisor are incorrect so you must know what you are booking. This is a small concrete block with five rooms, one of which has a small plunge pool. It is not what I would call a hotel. There is a reception desk manned by a nice lady who speaks some English but no one there after 8pm. The entrance and stairs are dark and gloomy but open onto lovely rooms. Breakfast is served on the top floor overlooking the little roof top pool but there is no restaurant or bar, nor is there a kitchenette for guest use. Photos showing a lush garden with a pool must be disregarded because this is at a private house and wasn’t available to us. So, why did we rate this as 5/5? Quite simply the room, balcony and bathroom, with dressing room, were large and well appointed. It’s a felt like our own condominium in a residential area with a view of the sea. The small staff were friendly and helpful even to the point of arranging for us to have some breakfast when we had an early departure. The location was fine for us but maybe a bit far from the busy tourist streets in the town for some. There’s a seafood restaurant overlooking the sea just 5 minutes walk, supermarket and other bars and restaurants about 12 minutes away and it’s a taxi ride to the night market. There were no taxis nearby so we used Grab, often having to wait a while before someone would pick us up. The area is very safe, a security guard sits outside minding the big house with the swimming pool, but the pavements are broken up as elsewhere and there are trip hazards aplenty. While it was lovely to have a sea view, we hadn’t appreciated that Hua Hin just has a narrow ***** of sand and due to high seas there was no access to the beach from the end of the road. We spent three nights there which were relaxing and that was quite long enough in Hua Hin.

Dune Hua Hin is a small hotel with 5 rooms. The rooms are very large and very well equipped, with a balcony. Breakfast is above average and freshly prepared, not a buffet. The staff is very friendly and polite. The hotel is very suitable for a shorter or longer stay. From the upper rooms you can have a view of the sea. It's about 1.5km to the city center (about 100THB by Tuctuck). If you don't go to Hua Hin to swim, you'll find very good value for money here. It is only 50 meters to the beach, but it is only available at low tide and is not necessarily ideal for swimming. The hotel's own pool is on the roof, a bit small, but still big enough to jump in and cool off. Note: The pictures of the pool shown are not current, the large pool does not exist.

The hotel was stunning. We arrived at a five bedroom boutique, our room was like a private apartment, we had a balcony overlooking the sea and the staff were amazing. Their English and attentiveness was undoubtable. We also had a pool and rooftop terraced and the breakfast was amazing. I cannot highly recommend this hotel enough. 10/10 we would definitely stop again.

A small and quiet little boutique hotel. Perfect for a quick getaway over the weekend. The location is right by the beach with a view of the ocean from our room. Although the tide comes in right up to the steps of the road that lead down to the beach, you can still enjoy the beach in the morning. Outside the hotel it is very quiet but not too remote that you can’t find shops and food areas. The rooms themselves are spacious, clean and modern looking with every amenity you could need. The room had a big bath tub and amazing shower that is adjustable to your needs. I liked the novel design of having the wardrobe area almost in the bathroom too making it easy to get ready. The staff were all super friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The highlight for sure was the breakfast. They had a set menu with plenty of options. Amazing food. Not shy with the portions too, it was difficult to finish it all. I highly recommend Dune for anyone that is looking for a quiet weekend away to relax and rewind.

This boutique “hotel” has only 5 guest rooms so it is the perfect place for tranquility! So close to the beach there is a nice breeze. Comfortable full length outdoor lounge/sofa on large shaded balcony overlooking the beach and Gulf of Thailand. The staff are attentive and kind. The room is contemporary style, large with spacious bath. The top floor pictured here has a small infinity pool, comfy lounges and plenty of shade in the afternoon if desired. It is also where breakfast is served, so you wake up to a great view. Nice place to begin & end the day. I lived my 3 day stay and can’t wait to go back!

NOTE: Many of the photos posted by other people are of the property next door and not The Dune.

Please don’t trust any of these reviews or agoda reviews or photos. I know it looks so good and high class and that is also the reason why I chose this in the first place. I stayed here personally in November 2020 and the quality really dissapoints me. The moment I step in, it feels like an old hotel with the old wooden smell and the cracked walls cracked floors old styled wood furnitures surrounding me. The worst is the bed, it does not has any softener on the mattress and so you feel like you’re sleeping on a wooden plank. Trust me on this the blanket is so so thin unlike any other hotels and I can assure you that the quality of sleep is so bad because of the bed, blanket, bedsheet. I truly have a sleepless night and for those who are familiar, even Hop Inn gives me a better sleeping experience. I’m really disappointed with my experience and I truly hope these can be improve.
Bathtub is huge, location is good and these are the pros of this hotel.
