An economic hotel with small territory on a hill above the Bay of Kata. The Windows offer a magnificent view.
Built: 2004
Renovated: 2010
Location: 50 km from airport, 15 km from Patong beach, 200 m from the beach across the road.
Consists of five 4-storey buildings on the hillside.
The hotel has 146 rooms. All rooms with sea view.
Beach: public sandy beach in 200 m from the hotel (2 coastline). Umbrellas, sunbeds, mattresses - a fee, towels-free of charge. There is a Shuttle to the beach.
We accept credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express.

Really good hotel.
Staff is really friendly and always happy to help.
They have a big swimming pool, that works all day and all night.
Nearby restaurant has the best staff. They have really good evenings, when so talented singer comes. He sings different types of songs that's always nice.

The orchidacea hotel, is a lovely hotel with excellent views of the sea, well positioned for the bwach, the rooms were spacious and very clean though lacking a bit of cupboard space, house keeping did a fantastic job, the staff all around the hotel were polite, helpful and accommodating and couldn't do enough to help when ever we asked, the pool was warm and inviting after laying I the hot sun, breakfast was served between 6.30 and 10.30 and offered everything one would need. My only issue was the steps up th my amazing room, they were a bit difficult at the end of the day, although the hotel did offer a shuttle up if needed.

Lovely place from all aspects, we had a wonderful stay during our period at the resort. But I need to highlight one specific point and that is the staff.
They really are a brilliant team with so much friendliness making you feel at home even if you are far away.
I have shared some pictures in the reception area we took before we departured because this lady and so many of the other staff as well made our stay phenomenal.
They made leaving so sad for because it felt like leaving family behind. And this is the same I saw with the team as well a family.

Great hotel, you get to see the view of the beach. There are no elevators to your rooms so everything is walking. If you stay on the 5th floor , you have to climb up those crazy stairs.
They have breakfast buffet every morning, which is great! But the taste is a little bland.

Place has a lovely calming atmosphere. The staff is warm and welcoming always with a kind demeanor The people at the reception (Michael) helped us booked a tour and was very forthcoming with suggestions for things to do around.
The resort has a view of Kata beach. And both kata and kata noi are within a km. The resort has free shuttle services to/from the beach at certain times of the day.
The breakfast buffet had a good variety of cuisines albeit the flavor of some could be better. Excellent variety of fresh tropical fruits to start the day with.
The one downside we felt was the balconies don't have much of separation with the neighbouring rooms, so lacks privacy.

Absolutely brilliant place. All crew is awesome. Especially mrs. boss and security Ut. ( maybe name is wrong, sorry). All crew is very polite and do job very good. Room service is totally awesome! A lot of times we ordered food in room, all dishes was great, soup, pasta, local food. Breakfast was great too. A lot of different fruits and vegetables, different hot and cold dishes. We lived in two rooms, high and first floor. All rooms was clean and all stuff work good.

A wonderful resort and great value for money. The staff treated us like royalty throughout our visit. On our last day, I had food poisoning (be careful with buy kebabs from the roadside) and the staff was very helpful and offered to pick up our luggage from the room and take it to the reception. A special mention to Tommy for his wonderful hospitality. I would highly recommend staying at this resort if you want great value for money

Great hotel! Stayed 2 nights. Location is great just a quick walk to the beach and restaurants. Awesome pool and bar. We had a sea view room and it was lovely. The only downside would be the uphill walk to the room as there is no elevator. We managed the walk no problem but could see if someone had mobility issues this would be worrisome. The staff also offered to drive you up the hill if needed. Fantastic choice when staying in Kata

The hotel is lovely and the service is perfect. The view from the sea view rooms is phenomenal but there are no lifts and going up and down the stairs was exhausting because they were so many. They have a shuttle that can take you to the beach and to your room though.

Everythings great. Nice view, Superb thai hospitality, delicious breakfast. Amazing pool with 1.8m depth (very rare!) Yes there’s lots of stairs but can always ask for shuttle service every time. Definitely worth it!
