Sugar Marina Resort - FASHION - Kata Beach - SHA Extra Plus

When we booked the hotel, we didn’t know how well would the location turn out to be. It’s walking distance from Kata beach and the main market. Their restaurant Kiri served delicious food. We had multiple meals there.

Amazing location within 3-4 min to the beach. Room itself was nice, but need some renovation and deep cleaning (like corners, curtains or ceiling). Breakfast was really good with many options to choose from.
Our main problem is with hotel staff. Every single, simple task was escalated to a problem and they couldn't help us even with basic questions e.g. they couldn't borrow us a peeler, knife or any other utensil to peel a mango, because it's "against their policy".
Big problem is also English, which is spoken only by part of the staff and on rather basic level. Unfortunately when we were checking in on our arrival no one understood English even a bit and there were problems with communication, because they wanted to take our passports, but couldn't explain why.
Overall stay was really good and we recommend it.

But best part is staff. Truly 5 star service: everyone was friendly, smiley and attentive. But Billie and Meaw were my favorites.

I have stayed here a few times and it never disappoints. The staff is so friendly and helpful, couldn’t ask for more. The breakfast is really good. Nice pool with lanes on either side if you want swim laps. A good fitness center too. One block from Kata beach and close to shops and restaurants.

Our Perfect Stay at Sugar Marina Fashion, Kata Beach

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Sugar Marina Fashion in Kata Beach, Phuket, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The hotel's proximity to the stunning Kata Beach, just a 3 minute walk away, made our stay even more special.

The hotel’s on-site restaurant, "Kiri," exceeded our expectations with its delightful selection of both international dishes and Thai classics, and truly impeccable service, even during busy times.

Every meal we had there was a treat, and the staff at Kiri made dining an enjoyable experience. The variety of dishes offered, combined with fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation, made us look forward to our meals there.

One of the highlights of our stay was the hotel's incredible front desk staff, particularly our favorite trio: "Film," "Bill," and "Ice." Their service-minded attitude and willingness to help made our month-long stay exceptionally smooth and comfortable.

They assisted us with various requests, including arranging a special breakfast box with fresh fruits and vegetables so that we could enjoy healthy food after our morning yoga class at the nearby Kata Hot Yoga, even after the breakfast buffet had closed.

The front desk trio’s personalized service gave us a VIP experience and their friendliness contributed greatly to our feeling so much at home at Sugar Marina Fashion.

We stayed in the spacious room 2403, which offered a small workspace, a large sofa, and an armchair that was perfect for reading. We also had a fantastic view of the pool, with plenty of natural daylight streaming in through our balcony, and a wonderfully comfortable king-size bed that gave us great sleep every single night. The room's large bathroom had both a shower and a full-sized tub.

The hotel's housekeeping staff deserves a mention as they did an excellent job of keeping our room clean, and it was always tidy and spotless when they were finished. Their attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness did not go unnoticed, and we really appreciated their hard work.

Having stayed at many hotels in Kata Beach over the years, we can confidently say that Sugar Marina Fashion is our top choice. The exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, terrific "Kiri" restaurant, and proximity to beautiful Kata Beach make it a standout. Again, the staff, especially Film, Bill, and Ice, made our stay memorable, and we can't wait to return.

My husband has stayed at kata beach over 40 times and we’ve stayed at the best resorts in the area including the Boathouse as well as beyond resort. This would be our second stay at sugar marina and to be honest, we probably enjoyed it here more than the boat house and beyond even though it’s not as fancy or right on the beach. The location is excellent and the staff are amazing. I’d say that the staff here is what made our stay exceptional as well as the breakfast. Thank you all so much and we’ll see you on our next trip!
