When I returned I got keys and checked into my room, at first glance I noticed the room wasn't cleaned well but I was tired and just wanted to rest and thought maybe I’m being to picky.
After a quick shower I got into bed to only discover that inside my bed sheets there was blood / pop and dirty sheets under the cover. Nothing had been changed or cleaned from previous clients, it was disgusting !
Contacted the hotels front desk immediately , they informed me that there was no other rooms available and no one to clean my room they told me to go to sleep and figure it out tomorrow.
I had to leave in the middle of the night and find other accommodations, the next day manager never called me spent hours at the front desk untill
A manager came to help and I was issued an email confirmation from the manager apologizing and promising a refund.
To this day I am still out $700 dollars and they won’t refund me my money.
I would not recommend staying at this hotel,
Poor customer service and a VERY DIRTY Disgusting Hotel
They have made a huge mistake with the reservation and didn't took responsibility for it!!! They didn't solve the problem and kept trying to overcharge me with different price every day!!! The room was not good at all!!! Becarefull when you book your rooms!!! The medusa pool had the water very dirty one of the days and they don't follow their own safety rules about glass and drinks and food from outside the hotel!!! Had several guests drinking alcohol inside the pool when children were there!!!
I definitely don't recommend this hotel!!!!
The breakfast buffet was too expensive and pork was their only meat option. And the free Welcome drink coupon was equally disappointing. The offer was a frozen fruit drink or a non-alcoholic glass of fruit juice with ice. They will offer to storage your lugguge after you checked out (Lisa: Check-out at 11 am, LOL).
We stayed here in December 2023. I hate writing bad reviews, but I must warn people against this absolutely terrible hotel as I'm still thinking about this over a month later. The mattress on the bed wasn't a mattress at all but a box spring. Seriously. We took the bed apart to investigate, and that's what we found! Four nights of horrible sleep, even with the hotel's remedy of providing three (THREE!) pillow mattress covers.
The toiletries in the bathroom included minimal toilet paper (we had to call to the desk TWICE to get more) and a heinous smelling concoction -- all of them the same exact thing -- in each of the four individual bottles of "luxury" hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
The breakfast was meh, though expansive, but also kind of a rip off -- we had better breakfasts a few doors down, with superior service.
The location is terrific for both Kata and Karon beaches, and the staff at the bar were friendly and fun. I also highly recommend the gent who plays guitar at the bar on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays. This part of the hotel was great and the only reason it gets more than one star.
But if you want the basics of what a hotel should do -- a good night's sleep and a decent shower (with soap) -- skip this place.
Pros:
- Staff were very friendly and helpful! Can't think of any negatives on that front.
- The rooms, despite their issues, were well cleaned every day. The swim-out functionality of our room was a great alternative to fighting for pool chairs.
- Great amounts of bottled water are delivered to the room daily.
- There is free WiFi. The speed wasn't fantastic (roughly 10 Mb/s) but got the job done.
- Musical performances are performed every night at the outside bar. A great listen.
- The position is great! There are many restaurants nearby and Kata beach is only about 10 or so minutes away on foot.
- The hotel restaurant has decent food. Bonus points for being able to serve us at 10 PM after arriving late from the airport.
- There is breakfast. It's nothing fantastic, but there is a chef who will cook eggs live on request. Expect a lot of thai foods to choose from and a limited sandwich selection.
Cons:
- The soundproofing of these rooms are non-existent. Expect to hear anyone passing by in the hallway and every performance at the bar (which can sometimes last until 11 PM).
- There was clearly no designer on board during the creation of the hotel rooms. Our shower door can only be half opened before it slams into the wall, forcing you to worm your way through the small open gap. You also could not open your closet without closing one of the doors, and in a relatives room thier couch was directly blocking their porch.
- Our couch was stained all over.
- The television was set to russian by default (which was hard to change) and didn't have any internet connection, locking out streaming services like Netflix.
- The bathroom soaps and shampoos are some kind of otherwordly concoction because they smell terrible. Bring your own for your own sake.
All in all, nothing fantastic although passable.
If you're just looking for a place to stay, it might be good to also consider other options.
