Lah Own Khaolak Resort

Very lovely and nice hotel. Quiet & peaceful!
Breakfast could be a little more extensive.
Sunbeds is only reserved for “longstay guests” (more than 2 months). Though you see the guest most of the time on the same sunbeds lying. Also is this the matter for breakfasttables. Restaurant has good food, but it is not easy to find a free table without reservation. Especially during dinertime. Also the massage needs a reservation. Staf is excellent, works long hours.

Very cozy hotel with sun beds in the woods, few steps from the sea. The hotel has got very nice restaurant with excellent meals and service, and very reasonable prices. The territory is well-organized and safe. The bungalows has everything you need, though some renovation would improve a little. I’d love to come back

Lah Own is 100% the type of place I was looking for - a great looking, calm and quiet beachfront resort away from any noise, crowds and traffic, but still within a walking distance from the Khaolak center.

- Environment is amazing, it's like a small village in a meticulously maintained lush tropical garden.
- Beach is better than most beaches in Khaolak (not too flat, so no need for those ugly concrete blocks that block the sea tide around some of the other hotels in the area)
- Pool looks great and never gets too busy (although we never used it, we prefer the sea)
- Staff is very friendly and helpful, their skills in English are good enough to understand your requests. Masseurs' skills are amazing.
- Food is great, just make sure the dish you order is not too spicy in case you care about that. The free breakfast is the same every day though (but still enjoyable).

I must say I really loved Lah Own. Of course, if you are looking for a party or holiday action, then it is not the right place for you. But if you are going to Khaolak for resting, then it surely is. Also keep in mind that this is a 3-star hotel so you won't find luxury there. Although I think the quality they offer is absolutely outstanding for a 3 star hotel. My only complaint is that the restaurant is closing at 8:30 PM. It would be great if it was working until 9:30 PM.

In general: 10/10 without any doubt.

Nice quiet resort. Good beachfront restaurant. Lovely pool. Plenty of daybeds.

We stayed at the Sands down the beach and twice stopped at the Lah Own Restaurant for sunset drinks and a meal. Very friendly and efficient staff, good food reasonably priced.
