Pavilion Samui Villas and Resort - SHA Extra Plus

The hotel is good for young families. I went with my elderly parents, so it was difficult for them to move around, due to there being many steps everywhere.
The service staff is generally very good, and the food is good too.
Now for the areas of improvement:
1) On our first day at the beach, there was some miscommunication with a server. We asked for a drinks menu and it took him 20 mins to get it to us, so in the meantime, we decided what we want to get. When he finally came to us and we have him the order, he got upset that we didn't even look at the menu. After that, he got the order wrong. This wasn't entirely his fault, there was a genuine miscommunication, but again, he was very rude to my father about it. Then he started rolling his eyes and shaking his head at my dad. Who is 81 by the way. Luckily, the other days, we had different staff helping us and they were wonderful.
2) Housekeeping: Not the best. The room was quite dusty. Floor was quite sandy too.
Tip: Ask for sea facing rooms. The other rooms are a little darker and the ground floor rooms can occasionally have a drainage smell, as the drain system is right outside the room.

Mid-June - the hotel was not quite full, very comfortable, as if you were alone
Large terraces with a jacuzzi and two places on the sides with mattresses-pillows - great to lie down, listen to the birds☺️

Great location and easily walkable to lamai market or to nearby cafes and shops. The live band from lamai market can be heard from the rooms so if you are a light sleeper this may be a problem. The floor manager goes around to check on guests during morning breakfast and we appreciated this gesture. The AC in our room was leaking and she immediately sent someone to check on it. It never got fixed as it kept leaking every night again but it was ok and we werent very bothered by it. The mattresses need a change asap as the depressions were too obvious. I would request also for better lighting or at least the option to brighten the lights should we wish in the room. The hallway resort lights were also too dim making it a little dangerous at night as there were many steep steps and curbs. For the accessibility and staff i would stay here again

Best part about Pavilion Villas was really the service of the staff - they were so warm, welcoming, and helpful in many ways. The room was comfortable and luxurious, although some facilities were slightly older. The breakfast was great, and the location can't be beat - Lamai beach is literally right at your doorstep, with 1-for-1 cocktails to sip on as you enjoy the sea breeze. Can't recommend it enough!

Very good and nice hotel. Only the price is to expensive.

Friendly staff, nice serene place. Good atmosphere for relaxation. The bathtub on the balcony is awesome. We enjoyed it a lot!

We upgraded our room to a hydro pool villa and it was fantastic! Made a lot of difference to our experience in Koh Samui. All thanks to Terry, who offered us an irresistible offer for the upgrade. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location in Lamai. The beach is fantastic and the sea, clean and clear. Very gentle waves, which made it great for swimming or just floating on your back.

Terry was exceptional in his attitude and service, checking in on us every day to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. There are 2 things which I believe the hotel can improve on:

1. The hot food selection for the breakfast buffet. The fresh bread and homemade jam, as well as the egg station (the shakshuka is worth waiting for), and the variety of cereal were great, but the cooked food lacked variety and quality. Some Thai dishes didn’t look appetising at all.

2. When we were staying in Chaweng, the hotel staff there would set up the deck chairs at the beach with towels for us, and brought us complimentary glasses of iced water(without us requesting for them). It was a kind gesture very much appreciated, especially in the heat of a sunny day. That is what I call 5-star service- when you can anticipate the needs of your guests. Perhaps Pavilion Samui can learn from that.

Having said that, we will definitely be back in Koh Samui again, and if we choose to stay in Lamai again, Pavilion Samui will still be our 1st choice.

Wow what a place, best accommodation ever in Thailand. Stayed in the Orchid with tremendous views from the balcony. Staff v friendly, amazing infinity pool and a private.path through the jungle to the village with lots of restaurants and bars. Can't wait to go back!

The best hotel in the world was for me and for my family.
The family villa is perfect, and the family really had a lot of fun, a perfect place on the sea with a professional staff, thank you very much for the shipment of the girl's swimsuit, you are champions. For sure, we will be back🥂
