Location: 7 km from airport, in the Eastern part of Koh Samui, between Chaweng and Lamai in a quiet location on the shores of Laem Nan beach, Chaweng beach 4 km.

The hotel managed by JW Marriott Group of Hotels.

Consists of one 7-storey building.

Total area: 24 000 m2.

The hotel has 78 rooms.

Beach: own sandy beach, 10 m from the hotel (1 coastline). On the beach umbrellas, deck chairs: free of charge. At the pool umbrellas, sun beds: free of charge. Pool towels: free of charge.

Having selected two different rooms we had experienced most of the facilities of the resort. Absolutely amazing service, good breakfast though limited selection. Fabulous restaurant. Clean and specious rooms. Beautiful gardens.

The only thing I did not enjoy was the quality of the bed 🛌 and pillows.

Great activities for everyone who wanted some entertainment.
Highly recommend this resort for anyone who is not looking for a wild night craze. Good for families, singles and couples.

Nice resort with friendly staff - we enjoyed our 5 days stay very much. The beach area is not the best tho and the prices for drinks, food and spa are a little bit too high for my opinion. However, all in all I can recommend

Very beautiful resort set in lush gardens. Spacious villas with private pool. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, there seems to be a good atmosphere and people are genuinely happy. Yum breakfast. Beautiful semi private beach with shallow waters, ideal for small kids. Good kids and main pool. Only downside was that there were a lot more mosquitos than elsewhere we stayed on Ko Samui.

Despite it is aged, the hotel proper maintained. However, there are ugly scratches on wooden furnitures in the room which should be renovated. The gym, spa, and swimming pool are considered average compared to other 5-star hotels. The best thing is the staff’s top-notch service. They tried their best to make my stay pleasant. Overall, it is a nice hotel with a good price.

Highly recommend Renaissance Koh Samui, especially for events. My husband and I had a private wedding ceremony here in March, and everything was even better than we could have imagined! Ant was wonderful to work with and coordinated everything from the ceremony details, the officiant meeting, a private dinner on the beach, and a honeymoon breakfast for us. We had already booked travel plans around Thailand, which limited our flexibility, but Ant was able to make everything work. She was even able to book a last-minute spa appointment for me the day we arrived. All the staff were wonderful and even took part in celebrating us during the ceremony. The attention to detail was superb, and the sunset on the beach was surreal and was the perfect backdrop for our wedding. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, and the private beach was wonderful. It was an amazing experience that we will never forget.

I would like to highly recommend the renaissance hotel and concierge service by the JENNIE PROM. She makes our vacatione better than we expected. She recommend the elephant entertaitment and she booked for us the hotel taxi for all day with scasual of the seeseeing everything worth to see and do in Koh Samui. Even that she booked for us the table in the most crould skybar in the Bangkok. The hotel is a perfect place for the relax, food are deliciois and the staff are very helpful.

Luxurious resort, very clean and the staff are exceptionally accommodating. We didn't miss anything and enjoyed our stay so much, thank you!
It has two great pools and the most beautiful small private beach to relax at. You can kanu and SUP too.
The hotel is quiet, many couples but as a family with a small kid we felt welcome too and had everything we needed. There is a baby pool and beach toys, baby high chairs and extra baby dishes are available.
The breakfast selection leaves no open wishes whatsoever. It is as great as everyone says.
We had a "deluxe room" which has everything you need, a very comfortable bed, a private terrace and an outside bathtub and room service every day.
If you walk down the street there are some okay restaurants, little supermarkets and we can especially recommend the elderly laundry lady right across the "Röstiland". There is a private shuttle to Chaweng and Lamai beach (quiter and prettier) every day if you want to explore.

Without hesitation, I rate this hotel 5/5, I would give it more if it were possible. It's hard to say what the hotel's strongest point is: the most wonderful, polite, smiling staff, the location in a quiet part of the island with a virtually private beach on a quiet lagoon and among lush greenery, an amazing restaurant where we ate the BEST meals in Thailand, both local and international cuisine, spacious, comfortable rooms with a 50m(!) swimming pool right in front of the room, or maybe a SPA where you can truly relax. The hotel is simply fabulous, it offers the option of total relaxation and I am happy that we chose this place for the last part of our stay in Thailand and to recharge the batteries before returning - it served its purpose perfectly. I will come back there for sure!

We had an extraordinary 10-day stay at the Renaissance Hotel with the all-inclusive package. The staff at the reception, pool, and restaurants were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The cuisine in the two restaurants was prepared to perfection, offering sensational Thai dishes as well as a variety of Western options. Under the leadership of the Food and Beverage Manager, Mr. A, all employees were incredibly accommodating.

One of the highlights of the all-inclusive package was the daily massages, which were professionally executed. We experienced both Thai massages and oil aroma massages, and they were truly rejuvenating.
The rooms were impeccably clean throughout our entire stay. The reception was instrumental in helping us arrange additional activities, such as boat tours, and provided great recommendations.
The gym was well-equipped with all the necessary facilities, making it a worthwhile visit during our stay. Overall, the hotel grounds are highly recommended for relaxation, and we were thoroughly impressed with the quality of service and amenities provided at the Renaissance Hotel.

"Sadly, Renaissance Koh Samui has lost its pizzazz , making it more of a 4-star experience. The 2-bedroom villa lacked the expected luxury, and the absence of a hotel concierge and personal touches further diminished the overall appeal. Basic amenities, like sunscreen for kids at the pool, or a cable for a tv were not on offer contributing to a less-than-impressive stay. The hotel no longer exudes the charm and excitement it once had."
It’s looking very Tired and understaffed, I won’t be returning unfortunately as I use to come every year prior to Covid.
