The Mooring Resort

We stayed here for 3 days in the last week of November. The location is amazing, right next to the beach. They also provide kayaks free of cost. The room was cozy and well kept. Drinking water is complimentary. Restaurant next door serves decent cocktails and food. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. If you want a peaceful vacation you must stay here.

There are some things that could be improved - At the time of checking out they inspected the minibar, it felt a bit disrespectful. Things like tours, rented bikes etc. are very pricey if you book with the hotel, at least 30-40% more compared to if you book directly. We requested for an extension to our stay - the price at which the room was listed later that day was 3k baht lower than what was quoted to us.

Edit - We were quoted 7K baht for a night, and the room was listed at 4k later that day.

The Mooring resort is great place to have your vacation. It is in quiet and beautiful area with a lot of greenery, trees and awesome nature. The bungalows are nice and clean. The beach is near and the pool is great as well. We had our room cleaned every single day. Even though the area is not full with restaurants and clubs, there are multiple options for eating, including ordering food on reception. The staff is great and very helpful! We really enjoyed our time and will be happy to visit again :)

I can honestly say that the Mooring Resort was one of the best parts of our trip to Thailand. It’s right on a quiet beach, so you can just roll out of bed and be by the water. The resort has sunbeds under the trees, so you can chill all day with plenty of shade during the hottest hours. The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to help us with anything we needed, from taxis to restaurant recommendations. We had an amazing three days and will definitely be back next time we’re in Phuket.

The Mooring Resort is perfect for a quiet, relaxing getaway. Located on a clean, beautiful beach, it offers peaceful lounge chairs under palm and tree canopies. The front-row bungalows are worth the extra cost for their views and beach access, while the others are nice but more tucked away.

The resort is small, quiet, and not crowded—ideal for those seeking relaxation over nightlife. The modern, functional furniture and super-friendly staff make the stay comfortable and stress-free.

It’s a no-frills place with thoughtful touches like refillable water bottles and slippers available upon request. The flat beach is great, though swim shoes are recommended for the water. While there’s no on-site dining, the beachfront restaurant next door serves excellent food and drinks. Perfect for those who value tranquility and simplicity!

Our stay at this beautiful hotel was pure bliss from start to finish. Nestled right on the beach, it offered the perfect combination of serene surroundings and breathtaking beauty. The lush greenery everywhere was so refreshing, and you could feel the tranquility in every corner of the resort.

One of our favorite things was the incredible array of sun beds and hammocks scattered along the beach and shaded under trees. Each one was designed for ultimate relaxation, making it easy to lose track of time while simply soaking in the peace. The staff made sure everything was perfect, keeping the grounds immaculate and attending to every detail with such warmth and care.

We loved our room, too! It was filled with thoughtful touches like daily-refilled water bottles (sustainability win!), cozy bathrobes, a handy beach bag, and even little hedgehogs to brush off sand after a day on the beach. Plus, the fresh coffee provided in-room was fantastic—no instant here!

This hotel is a true paradise, where everything just aligns to create an unforgettable experience. We left feeling recharged, relaxed, and already dreaming of our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a heavenly escape by the sea!

Best choice. Although I visited during the rainy season, I was able to appreciate the calm sea of Phuket throughout the trip. I think this was the best hotel I encountered while traveling with a dog.

This is a fantastic resort. The location is divine. The rooms are spacious and well designed. There is a thought for ease and comfort. Honestly the best place I have ever stayed. The staff are amazing and the owner is very accommodating. We will definitely return to Phuket to stay here.

The resort was so beautiful and lovely. Great staff, clean overall, very close to the beach which is a big plus!! what an amazing place yagggg. Can't wait to come back and stay here again!

We loved our stay at The Mooring. You step out of your bungalow onto the sand, you hear the gentle sound of the waves, the palm trees all around. The rooms are simple but lovely and really comfortable. The staff were all so friendly and very helpful with anything we needed. The hotel has 2 big baskets of toys and lots of games for children to play with, which were great!

The beach is small and quiet, there is only one restaurant next door - the Cove. Otherwise it is a 10minute walk, or a 2 minute drive to a little village with more restaurants and massage places and a small super market. It’s a 15 minute drive to phuket old town which has lots of restaurants, bars and shops.

The only disappointing thing is that the beach was quite dirty when we were there, but that is a world problem, not the hotel’s problem.

The Mooring is a quiet place, perfect if you want to disconnect, relax and really feel like you are on holiday away from the world! We will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Mooring Resort from October 3rd to 6th. Our room was modern and spotless, and the service was excellent. The private beach, while busy at times, remained peaceful, making it feel like a true oasis in southern Phuket.

We also had an issue with our bike rental service, as they were late in picking up the bike. The resort kindly intervened, spoke to the rental company, and arranged for the deposit to be sent directly to the resort. They gave us the money so we could head to the airport without delays, and the rental service collected the bike later. 10 out of 10 service.

Just be aware that it’s a bit distant from the main beaches, though we didn’t mind riding a bike there, and about 20 minutes from Phuket Town. So, it’s ideal for those seeking a relaxing getaway but not the best option if you plan to explore the entire island frequently.

We would definitely recommend it.
