The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa, Phuket

This is definitely not a 5-star experience. Anyone calling it “the most beautiful hotel” likely hasn’t stayed anywhere else. We booked a room for three people under an all-inclusive package, but upon check-in, we were informed that the package only covered two guests. The third person had to pay separately in cash. The cash menu is overpriced, with a 10% service charge, 7% sales tax, and an expectation for an additional tip. Service in the restaurant is incredibly slow, even during off-peak times.

Our room was in a building all the way at the back of the resort, and to reach it, we had to climb an extremely steep hill at about a 45-degree incline. This got old really quickly. On our very first night, my 21-year-old son suffered from food/alcohol poisoning, which resulted in a night of vomiting and diarrhea. We ended up staying only one night before checking out early.

The infrastructure is in need of serious updates, and there’s not much to do during the day. Plus, the hotel is far from any other attractions. The place is crowded with large groups of Chinese tourists, making it feel overrun. Overall, the high costs, coupled with mediocre service and facilities, give off the feeling of being ripped off. Anyone who has stayed at a true 5-star resort would immediately recognize that this place falls far short.

In conclusion: this resort is extremely average, with facilities and service that don’t justify the price.

Room smelled like sewage. Air conditioner was broke on day one. Repair guy came and fixed it. Called and spoke with front desk 4 times regarding smell and "fluid" backing up in our bathroom. This was a bathroom we weren't using at all during our stay but the water seeped into doorway and the smell.............. everyday. Staff came quickly to clean it up after we called but we should have been moved to another room with the low occupancy at the hotel and my titanium status with Marriott. HDMI port was broken. I stay over a 100 nights and never complain. This isn't a five star nor is up to Westins normal status. We stayed for five nights . Staff was polite but the property needs repairs.

I am currently on my stay at this property and is BY FAR the worst hotel experience I ever had. My whole vacation has been ruined because of this hotel, I am actually leaving two days earlier than my booking, because I cannot stay any longer in this place. I asked for housekeeping every day since I arrived, no one honoured my request. I asked at least for towels replacement, still was not possible. The property is so old and poorly maintained, that even when we checked in the room was not looking clean and hygienic. The pool was extremely dirty and there was no one to attend it. No towels available at the pool. Not even the water in the room has been replenished once. I am extremely disappointed with this stay. It has been the worst spent money in my whole life. The resort appears like a 5 star hotel, but it’s very far from offering motel services. I will make sure to inform all my friends to never consider this resort in any of their vacations.

The location is superb, the staff is friendly, but the service needs improvement

•The resort is situated on a hill with a breathtaking view. The atmosphere is serene and the beach is easily accessible. Guests can enjoy activities such as kayaking and beach volleyball. The lobby and restaurant staff are courteous and attentive, however, there are some areas where the service could be improved.

•Dining at the restaurant, I experienced long waiting times for food, especially during weekday afternoons, I had to wait for an hour for a simple meal of just three items. Additionally, waiting for the golf cart to transport me from the restaurant back to my room was also a time-consuming process. I had to wait for 30 minutes, and the restaurant staff had to call the lobby four times to request the golf cart.

•The taxi and van service at the lobby entrance is also quite chaotic. These vehicles often park, The drivers often left their vehicles to look for passengers,

•Upon checking into the room, I noticed stains on the coffee mugs provided for guests. It appeared that these were not properly washed by the previous or were only rinsed with water. The hotel should thoroughly clean and sanitize the mugs before preparing them for new guests.

•Ground coffee was provided in the room's minibar, however, there was no coffee maker for brewing ground coffee. The only coffee maker provided was a capsule coffee machine. Ground coffee cannot be used in a capsule coffee machine as it does not dissolve. The hotel should either change the type of coffee provided to match the available coffee maker, or provide a drip coffee maker in the room.

•Overall, the resort has the potential to be a five-star establishment, but the current service standards fall short of that mark. I hope that my experience was an anomaly and not a reflection of the resort's usual standards, but it certainly left me with a negative impression.

Arguably one of the worst Westin Hotel experience I have had. This was not a 5 star hotel experience. The Water, Internet, and electricity went out every single day of my trip. According to the hotel is was "planned" but there was no notice posted. After a day exploring the city you would hope you could come back and take a shower and charge your phone, maybe grab a bite to eat but several instances I can back to a room that was hot and inhabitable. Despite my inconvenience, customer service did NOTHING to reconcile the issues other than offering a " Our sincerest apologies" I strongly do not recommend staying here
