Reviews
Quite beach since only 3 hotels here.. friendly staffs and nice food
P.S. recommend to apply for Friends of Samed hotel membership for 10% discount for food
P.S. (2) mosquitoes are everywhere in Samed, better apply the repellent spray and lotion and close the door quickly!!
However for the upgrade room, the water pressure in bathroom is really bad and we had to go to the other room to have a better shower.
Resort location is at the end of the island stretch, only have 3 resorts, beautiful place, quiet beach and crystal clear water.
For food wise, breakfast buffet with limited options but overall not bad. For dinner, its a must to try out Buzz Restaurant, we had dinner there on the first night and the very last night before leaving, recommend to order their grilled pork neck, grilled seabass and their fried rice with beef, delicious~.
Wanna shout out to the resort receptionist Mim, who did a good job taking care of me. I injured my feet at the pool side and was looking for antiseptic iodine, she helped me disinfect the wound, put on the antiseptic liquid and plaster. Thank you again Mim.
The resort has a shuttle speed boat from Rayong and back which is included as part of the price which was a great touch. One of the staff carried our bags to our room on arrival which was not expected but very helpful after a long travel day. We stayed in the cottage and it was so clean, spacious and comfortable.
The breakfast was a standard mix of Thai and western but plenty of options for all and topped up and fresh.
Dinner was wonderful and our waitress each night Mint went above and beyond to make it a great experience. She recommended food options for us as vegetarians and made necessary modifications so it didn’t feel like we were compromising our experience.
The beach is basically a private one, not crowded and the sea is completely clear and no urchins or jellyfish.
We also enjoyed an oil massage on the beach and it was heavenly (1,250b for 60 mins), the women were so thorough and attentive.
The location is a little far out from everything but if you want to relax for a while, it’s the perfect spot.
It’s definitely luxury compared to most resorts here (everything including bottles of water/ ice cream has 10% service charge & 7% tax added) so it can add up quite quickly but you get what you pay for no expense spared! Would definitely recommend to families, couples and friends and can’t wait to come back!
After that, they promised me several times through email that they would pay for the treatment, so we spent about 4 months communicating through email and mailed documents.
During our discussions, the method of submitting the required documents and the contents of the required documents changed several times. I went to the hospital several times only for applying for and receiving the medical certificates.
I did what I was told by the hotel, putting up with a lot of trouble, but as a result I was not paid.
Because of taking too long time with changing the documents, I asked them if they really pay but they clearly replied that they would, so I believed them. I'm really disappointed.
What do they think of their customers?
Super overpriced for the quality you get.
You don’t get what you pay for at this resort, plain and simple. We tried 3 hotels on the island and this one by far was the worst experience. Beach and sunset was the only good thing here.
