Samed Pavilion Resort

Absolutely loved how the bungalows looked from the outside and from the inside. Also one of the best beds during my Thailand trip.

Restaurant was also a must-go. Good service, ocean view, tasty food. What else would you need? Special note: as much as I love thai food, the pizza chef on this restaurant made amazing pizza 🤩

Another trip to our home from home. We've been coming to Samed Villa Resort for over a decade now and it never fails to please. Rooms are comfortable, clean and safe and the breakfast is always excellent - especially the omelets, always made to order by the best egg chef in Thailand. Food in the evenings is also some of the best in the island and the resort's position on Ao Phai means you are within walking distance of other great eateries. Value for money every time.

Stayed in room A20 right next to the reception and the restaurant/breakfast room, the room wasn’t too big actually struggled to open a big suitcase inside let alone 2 of them luckily the bed was quite high could fit the open luggage underneath it, the bathroom was really nicely fitted and hot/cold water on the island is a plus as well. The staff have been extremely friendly and welcoming also very helpful as we had an issue with the door lock and I accidentally broke the key trying to open it, I’ve told the receptionists the issue and was sure I would have to pay for a replacement but they said it was all good and that someone will fix it right away and they have. I must say if you’re looking for a more quiet and relaxing stay then perhaps samed villa isn’t for you, it’s quite busy and a very popular choice for many people coming to this island lots of Russians and Chinese also the resort just next door silver sand has something of a night club and they do tend to play loud music especially over the weekends personally it didn’t bother us much as we are not ones to go bed early but if you get a room that’s closer to them then that might be a problem for you. There is also a bike rental really close by if you’re interested in renting one out the price is 400 baht for a day.

Only tried the beachfront restaurant for lunch. Excellent menu with many well priced Western options.
I opted for pasta and sausage. It came nicely al.dente with an adequate amount of pork sausage slices. To my surprise, it was real sausage, not the dreadful chicken hot dogs they call sausage around here. The tomato sauce was perfect. The portion was small, which is weird because pasta is nothing but noodles. If you order Thai, you get a mountain of noodles.
We freeloaded in the beachfront loungers for the rest of the day. Recommend.

Great rooms. Lovely staff. Near one of the nicest bays on Koh Samet, busy but chilled. Small pool. Only downside of the hotel is it's not a beach front, but would recommend staying there.
