Great place for a family holiday! We had a bungalow on the beach, with its own terrace. The house has a small second floor, where a double bed fits. There is everything you need. A good restaurant with a great view of the sea. This hotel does not have a beach, as the coast is rocky, but literally 100 meters away there is a beautiful sandy beach with numerous cafes and bars.

Great location, a bit quieter than the other hotels especially our towards the pool area. Good food, some of the better food on the island that I ate. Breakfast on the patio in the shade is sumptuous. Rooms were a bit of a letdown, but you don't come here for the rooms.

The room is nice and budget friendly. It is near Ao Wong Duen beach and quite convenient to find food around.

The hotel has a very charming overall vibe. The pool area and the location are both great — it’s just a short walk to the beach, which is lined with restaurants and cafes, making it quite convenient.
That said, the room felt quite damp. At night, the air conditioning made the room too cold, but using the blanket made it too warm, to the point that I was sweating. The water pressure in the shower was also very inconsistent, which made showering a bit frustrating.
Breakfast was very basic with no variation from day to day. The coffee from the self-service machine wasn’t drinkable, so we ended up ordering from their café instead.
The staff were generally polite, but most of them looked quite unhappy, which affected the overall atmosphere a little.
Overall, I’d say the stay was just average — some nice aspects, but also quite a few areas for improvement.

Fantastic location, rooms with sea view are amazing. Service just a tad too laid back, rubbish and cleaning stuff almost permanently lying around, cash only at bar and then expected to provide smaller notes, relatively small things but they make a difference. Would still stay here again due to location and room, just wouldn’t spend time in restaurant and bar as there are plenty of other great bars/restaurants on the adjacent bays or a 400 baht taxi ride away

Restaurant review: went for breakfast (200 baht per person), standard affair, nothing special, but staff are really nice (and Khmer, so it was fun talking the language again), and make the place feel comfy.

Vimarn Samed Resort is a hidden gem on Koh Samed. The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to make our vacation perfect. For the price, this hotel offered exceptional value with its clean and comfortable rooms. The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings made this hotel the perfect escape.
