The beachfront location is just across from the hotel, with plenty of beach chairs and bean bags available for guests. Our room was spacious and clean, but the construction next door was a bit disruptive, especially when trying to take an afternoon nap. This place is AMAZING. Tropical white sand beaches and all the amenities you could wish for. Highly recommend the 6 island boat tour. Snorkeling with tropical fish and visiting the national park island was an experience I won’t forget!

The Avatara hotel is about 600m from the Main center Sai Kaew beach. From nong than pier 30thb pp in a 10 seater songthiew. (Vehicles are not allowed in the island). I had the absolute best time during my stay at Sai Kaew Beach Resort. Koh Samet is gorgeous and so are the grounds of the resort. I can’t say enough good things about all the staff! Everyone is just so friendly here. I am sad to say goodbye but will definitely return. A special shout out to Pepe at the Mango! He is such a friendly guy and I enjoyed seeing his smiling face every day at breakfast.

I've stayed at a couple of hotels on Koh Samet with a wide variety of prices and rooms. This hotel is on the pricier side compared to the average room rates on the island but I would argue that value wise it's one of the best in terms of service and rooms. The view was amazing, I watched the sunrise every morning and I had the beach for my self. The breakfast was simple, which I liked (I ate quick and then it was beach time) The staff is not super good at English, BUT they are so so nice, just have a little patience with them and you will be fine!

review for cafe, not the hotel: coffee is quite delicious, but overpriced. 130 baht for a mocha frappe. the ambiance of the cafe (well, more like the lack thereof, with blinds clattering noisily against window frames and staff watching videos at full volume without headphones) does not justify the cost and makes it a less than comfortable place to spend time.

Great values, convenient and good service

To my opinion it's one of the best hotels on the one of the best islands in Thailand. Why? Beacause you can walk to many biutiful beaches from this place, and you have shop nearby, and a center of the city not very far if you need it. Local beach is 30seconds from your room number. And very biutiful garden... breakfest is good. And of course here we have very nice disco in evening.

Next to the beach and awesome place to stay. You will have everything you need on one spot. Staff is incredible service minded and friendly. Booked a family room cause everything was full booked. But I wasn't disappointed. The room was on the top floor 3:d floor, and I had a huge balcony. Only thing I was not satisfied was the breakfast. Highly recommended.

I was recommended this place for dinner but came twice both for lunch and dinner it was so good. Massive menu with a great choice of traditional Thai food, the best I had while in Koh Samed. Try the oysters. In the evening theee is a fire show in the beach at 9pm. An immersive and enjoyable experience. Make sure this is on your list for Koh Samed.
