The beachfront location is just across from the hotel, with plenty of beach chairs and bean bags available for guests. Our room was spacious and clean, but the construction next door was a bit disruptive, especially when trying to take an afternoon nap. The Avatara hotel is about 600m from the Main center Sai Kaew beach. From nong than pier 30thb pp in a 10 seater songthiew. (Vehicles are not allowed in the island). Our third trip to Sai Kaew over the past 15 years. Such a special place. Beautiful facilities and location without being overdeveloped. Friendly staff that seem to love their jobs. Ben at the beach serving drinks and meals deserves a particular shout out. Good coffee and gelato and meals, fabulous beach and beach bags, tens of restaurants out the front accessible on foot. On a small Island this hotel is a gem. Perfect mix of beach and peaceful gardens. The island does not have lots to do, but come here to relax and doing nothing- recharge your batteries you will be very happy. The staff and local residents are lovely people. Ao Prao is the best location for snorkeling and enjoying peace and tranquility. So many things you can see for just a short swim from shore. Le Vimarn is great. Book the room with transfer service from the Ao Prao Pier to the island and to the resort (via ferries and Songthaew pickup). Very nice and clean room. The view to the ocean is great.
