Tubtim Resort in Samet Island

Always get to come back here. The tourism on the island is changing which is not great but this place has kept its charm and its lovely staff. The food is great, the beds are comfy.. a bit of the old school vibe in the wooden bungalows is a reminder of how Thailand used to be.

But the change in tourism is clear. There are even a handful of girly bars in the small town now which tells you everything about the change in crowd. Lots more families too.
Tubtim still keeps its charm and still seems to be the place where the weekend gays come to hang out.

The friendly staff, exceptional food (particularly breakfast), clean and comfortable rooms in a tropical style and stunning views from the private beach were exceptional.

The staff at breakfast, “Kanya” was particularly attentive to my special dietary requirements. Every morning she prepared my omelette with my speciality without any prompt or reminder. We had a wonderful stay at the Tubtim Resort and look forward to returning!

We booked the beach banglow. Which was a little small for my liking however it was bang on the beach. I would recommend this place to whoevers likes to sleep with the sound of waves. As it's remote please don't expect 5star service. I would recommend you go prepared if travelling with a kid etc as there are not many stores nearby.

We would like to thank the hosts and all the staff of this wonderful place. Our family came for 1 night but stayed for 4. A beautiful spot, clean beach, stunning views. The food in the restaurant is a special kind of pleasure: very delicious, wide variety, beautifully served, generous portions, excellent service, and fair prices. The beds in our bungalow were very comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and everything we needed was provided. The place is secluded, yet within a 5-minute walk along the promenade you’ll find all the necessary conveniences: restaurants, bars, supermarket, massage, motorbike and jet ski rentals. Fresh fruit and coconuts are sold right on the beach at good prices. You can also get a massage directly on the beach. A 7/11 is about a 15-minute walk away. We highly recommend this little paradise! 🌴

For me, Tub Tim Resort is the best choice on Koh Samet, mainly because of its location. The beach here is stunning and peaceful – much nicer than the nearby “party beach” with the famous bar. That one is fun to visit, especially on weekends, but definitely too loud to stay at. Tub Tim is also close enough to the island’s main tourist beach, with plenty of shops and bars, but it still feels far more relaxed and charming.

I highly recommend the beachfront villas on stilts – staying right by the sea was amazing and definitely the best option in the resort. The restaurant is another highlight: we tried other places nearby, but the food at the hotel restaurant was by far the best, with fair prices and a great atmosphere.

In short – beautiful, calm, and atmospheric. The perfect place to enjoy Koh Samet.

It would be a perfect one if oven was provided in the cottage. Room service was good, and the breakfast also. All the personnel of the resort were very helpful and friendly. They cooked chicken-rice soup for my babies separately in the breakfast even though I didn’t order myself. They try to comfort their guests.

The only problem is that very few of them understand English. But I could feel that the authority was working on the issue.

A very nice location direct on the beach, the food was always delicious. I stayed at Tubtim Resort for 7 nights. I enjoyed my stay very much and would like to thank the employees for their attentive and humorous approach.

- We booked a room here and we got A1 room. Honestly, the cleanliness is good except the smell of the bedding wasn’t so pleasant. And, this room the AC wasn’t cool.

- The staff were nice and helpful.

- The restaurant was very busy. We had to wait for our dinner for one and a half hour for only 4 dishes. However, we understand that it was because long holiday. Also, it was very dark therefore the photos of the dinner weren’t taken.

Very nice experience in one of the best beaches of Tubtim. Breakfast was good too. However, the staff seemed really unhappy and uninterested in dealing with clients so we ended up avoiding any interaction with them. For lunch and dinner you can find better and friendlier options near the main beach.

Beautiful little beach and the resort accommodation is good value for the island. Restaurant serves good food and plenty of vendors on the beach too,
