Hotel Royal Jinene

Well, where to start? Honestly speaking, Hotel Royal Jinene is slowly becoming our little home from home. I've stayed a few times now, mainly because it's so convenient and it gives me, my daughter, and my mum a chance to relax together for two weeks while she’s over visiting from the UK. It’s become our spot. Now, I’ll be honest – the décor could do with a refresh. The bar area especially has these very bold, bright orange curtains that definitely leave an impression 😂 It’s giving 1920s realness, but honestly, unless it’s cold (which it definitely isn’t in summer), we barely spend time in there. So why do we keep going back? It’s the people. The staff at this hotel are genuinely wonderful. Everyone – from the lovely maid on the 4th floor who called my daughter and me her babies, to the restaurant staff and reception – always made us feel welcome. There’s never a time you don’t get a smile or a friendly hello. It really adds to that emotional goodbye when Mum heads back to the UK and we’re checking out. You feel it. The entertainment team deserve a mention too. Panda, the DJ, Subway, Syylou, and Coda – they’re all brilliant. They work so hard to keep everyone happy and entertained, day and night. My daughter is absolutely obsessed with Syylou – not only is she sweet, but she’s also an incredible singer! Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper review without a bit of honesty. The first week, the food wasn’t great – and I’m a really fussy eater, so I struggled. It felt like the chef had a bit of a thing for liver, which isn’t my vibe at all. But I had a quick chat with the manager (who is lovely, by the way), and the improvement was immediate. From then on, I was able to find something to eat every time I went down to the restaurant. The soup is honestly delicious. Yes, sometimes the food is a little cold, but there’s a microwave right there, so no biggie. And if you're still not finding what you fancy, you're sorted – there are a few good little restaurants right outside the hotel, which is really handy. The location is perfect for that, and it’s clear the hotel is trying to cater to a mix of nationalities, so not everything will be to everyone's taste. The only other downside? Some of the other guests. During our stay, a big group of young football teams arrived and, to put it nicely, they were wild. Feral, actually. Now, that’s not really the hotel’s fault – but their carers or guardians definitely should have been doing more. It got to the point where their behaviour was stopping staff from doing their jobs and it could’ve easily led to accidents. Bit of a shame really. But despite that, would we go back? Absolutely. Every time we stay, it just feels right. It’s not the fanciest place in the world, but it’s full of warmth, kindness, and people who actually care. And that’s what matters most to us. 🫶

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hands down the best holiday I have ever been on! We will definitely be coming back to the Royal Jinene in Tunisia. We were smiling and laughing from the day we arrived to the day we left. We didn’t want to go home. All of the staff here are so friendly and helpful, the animation team were incredible and entertained our 2 little girls to make sure they could have the best holiday and us mums could relax too. We are SO grateful for every single person in the animation team for making our holiday special, they are such an amazing team. The entertainment in the evening was so much fun, dancing, quiz’s, different games, karaoke and shows from outside the hotel. There is different music by the pool all day so it’s good because you can listen to different types of music when sunbathing and not just the same thing. The food and drinks were great too, there is a different selection of Tunisia food and English food, something for everyone. There is plenty of bars in the hotel to get drinks from and the beach and sea is beautiful, there is a bar on the beach which walks straight out, it was nice and quiet here. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend coming here whether you are a family with children / solo or couples. There is something for everyone. Animation team are very good and helpful, so kind and fun I would definitely come again!! The bedrooms are very good and comfortable and relaxing my family love the pool and the beach is very quiet and amazing. The food is great and good service I would rate this place 10/10

Free upgrade to family room, more suitable for vacation, close to the beach. But the Wi-Fi in the room is very poor, the breakfast is not good, not suitable for Chinese taste, it is unpalatable

Nice hotel we went in jan so not in season but staff are very helpful and hotel is clean, staff made my daughters birthday amazing big celebration we were very happy the manager helped with a cake for her and went out of there way to arrange it with me

Best entertainment and batman's all nice people, amazing culture. For sure recommended as a first trip to Islamic country :＞. Room was clean eveyday new sheets open bar on the pool, clean water cleaned everyday varieties of food in restaurat good price nothing to complain.
