La Quinta by Wyndham Hotel

It was a great experience for me to be there

Nice hotel, not too big.
Great food.
Friendly staff.
Bodrum marina is just under a 1-km walk.

Location, view, food, pool everything was good.

The hotel is huge but superior room with sea view is oriented towards parking lot and it feels a little bit disappointed. Not sure how they choose who gets what, wether it's the agency you use or nationality. Really disappointed. IPool is nice and you get nice drinks and coctials and stuff working there is really pleasant. Wifi is also very fast. It's just that room should be advertised and priced accordingly to what you get. Food breakfast dinner supper is perfect. To move around taxi is your only option.rooms are cleaned very well regularly. The selling point of the hotel is dining terrace at the roof with astonishing view. I don't think any hotel in Bodrum has such view. But, the room shold not be advertised as sea view room. That's a big big let down.

Wonderful four-star hotel. I stayed in the Superior Room Sea View in the main building.

Reception: the staff is very polite, always ready to help. Everyone speaks English, there is also a Russian-speaking girl, Ayim. Special thanks to her for her help!

Room: clean, furniture in decent condition, comfortable mattress and pillows, plenty of space to store personal belongings. The room has some kind of minimal hygiene kit in the bathroom, disposable slippers. There are no robes (but they are not promised by hotel). There is Wi-Fi, but it was not very stable in my room. If you need stable Internet for a call, you can go to the 0 floor in the recreation area (it is quiet there, there are sofas, tables, electrical outlets, the Internet has never let me down there).

Room service: daily wet cleaning clean towels and bottles of drinking water. The quality of cleaning is monitored, once the manager came, asked if it was ok.

Restaurant: the restaurant is on the 3rd floor of the main building, it is open only during breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rest of the time you can't come there to eat, but you can order food during the day on the -2 floor at the pool bar. The breakfast buffet is varied and tasty. Wish they had baklava for breakfast…

Recreation area: on the -2 floor there is a bar, a pool and beach area. The pool was cleaned every evening, the water in it is disinfected. There are many quite comfortable sun loungers. There are also umbrellas and tables. Clean beach towels are available at the bar. Entrance to the sea is via stairs. I personally like it very much. A large swimming area is fenced with buoys. Swimming there is a pleasure: the water is deep and clean, you can see the castle on the left, and the Bodrum mills on the right. There are toilets and a shower on the beach. Beautiful and pleasant music is always playing. The waiters and bartenders do a great job. Special thanks to dear Hayrullah. He is very friendly, tactful and attentive to all requests.

Logistics: you can walk to the center of Bodrum (25-30 minutes). The landscape is mountainous, it is difficult to walk, keep this in mind if you choose to walk. You can get to the center of Bodrum by boat-taxi. They leave every 10 minutes right from the hotel beach, one way fare is 100 liras (5 minutes ride). You can also return to the hotel on these boats (just say the name of the hotel when boarding). The hotel is located near the windmills of Bodrum (15 minutes walk).
The reception also can help you call a taxi.

I am very pleased with my holiday at the La Quinta by Wyndham Bodrum, I recommend it to you for many reasons.

I notised only a few disadvantages of staying in La Quinta by Wyndham Bodrum:
- Sometimes in the restaurant there were dishes that were not entirely clean (it was obvious that they had been washed, but not finished somehow)
- The toaster in the restaurant works very poorly (my bread caught fire a couple of times!)
- In the room, the shower glass does not protect from splashes, a puddle of water was constantly accumulating under the shower.

it took us around 20 minutes to get to the city by foot, but there is also a marine taxi every 50 minutes that can take you there for 100 turkish liras. Snack (pizza, burgers, fries, vegetables..) is served at the pool bar. Small market is within 10 minutes walking distance.

Absolutely Fantastic hotel. The staff are amazing. Especially the waiting staff.. Polite and attentive. The food is great for an all inclusive.. A great choice of meals and salads. Nice rooms with air con. The building is a little old and the maintenance could do with a lick of paint along with updated TVs in the rooms that have Amazon prime TV or Utube for the foreign visitors as the only channels available are Turkish channels with only three English news channels but that's not a major issue. The rooms definitely need an upgrade.. The doors don't open properly which means you have to walk all the way down to the reception from the top hillside of the hotel and it's quite frustrating. Not sure why hotels don't invest in these small things? Some of the rooms are quite high up which means lots of stairs to climb but if you not able to manage that then make sure you request something on the lower ground. The views are beautiful of the hills.
