Gumbet Cove Hotel

What a little gem this is, location is spot on, rooms a little dated but clean. Only down side is the breakfast not the best, did b&b, very limited choice, wish we d done self catering now, family run business, owner is always around but didn't find him welcoming, tony is your man for anything, he's one of the staff and definitely made our stay so much better. My only issue was that we were on a late flight home at night and I asked if we could keep on the room, told to ask the day before, which would be a £40 charge, I did this to be told we couldn't keep our room as it wasn't available, we could switch to another , or just use a shower room after 5pm, it made sense to just use a shower room rather than move our stuff to another room and pay £40 for doing the exact same thing. When we went to reception at 5pm we were told they don't have a shower room and not sure if there was somewhere we could change, to come back at 7pm, but we were being picked up at 8pm. This doesn't make sense, what hotel doesn't have anywhere to shower or even change, it's standard, I said no we want to shower now and eat before the bus came and picked us up, eventually the receptionist got us a room and when we used the shower the cold water tap fell off in my hand so in the end I just filled the sink and washed myself down, this needs to be addressed as its not very good for guests.

Tony is absolutely brilliant as he always looks after the guests and is constantly running about making sure everyone is OK. Just felt that the rest of the staff didn't put as much energy and passion and this was a bit of a let down. I went to the bar to order a drink, seen a young member of staff on his phone who looked and turned away twice and it was left to Tony to take my order.
Owners will take time to say hello but leave Tony to do the meeting, greeting, serving, waiting as they can't speak much English. Surprised he doesn't have to wipe their arseholes for them too.
Rooms are basic. Beds are rather hard, feel like your lying on the floor. AC is available at a charge. No phones to contact reception. There is also a fridge and TV in the rooms.
Maids visit every other day and the service that they provide is excellent.
Pool has limited access via two sets of steps. 0.6m at shallow end and up to 1.6m at deepest. Pool also has a kids pool which is separated from main with a barrier.
The cove has 2 bars, one of which is situated next to the pool area and the other down next to the beach.
There is also 2 seated areas to dine, one which is used for mainly for breakfast whilst the other is outdoor and looks over the coastline. Prices for food and drink is a tad more expensive than nearby bars and restaurants which led to the bar and restaraunt having limited guests at times.
The complex is at the opposite side of the bars and restaurants from the harbour but the location makes it rather idyllic. 5 minute walk to the Migros if you like using supermarket.
Downside is having to pay £3 per day to rent kettle.
There is a also a charge of £40 to keep the room on from 12pm(time of check out) until 5pm. Pick up for buses tends to be 7:45pm on last day for most guests.

Back in September we loved our stay here at Gumbet Cove and it was great value for money! The staff and service was faultless and certainly made us feel welcome.

The housekeeping was amazing and made extra touches to our room that was such a kind gesture and made sure our room stay cleaned during our stay which was not expected.

The hotels facilities are amazing and also is right on the beautiful beach!

We really did enjoy our stay here and could not praise it enough!

I just had a lovely 1 week stay at Cove Hotel. The pool and beach area are lovely and peaceful and the hotel itself is tucked between other bigger hotels but the scene here is much more chilled. Some of the decor is a little tired but it represents great value and you have everything you would need. The staff are also very pleasant and helpful, particularly Taner who is very good at his job and looking after guests. I think this hotel should be more starts to be honest. The food is also pretty good. Thank you Cove Hotel for a lovely stay 👍

Nice spot with beach access and pool, staff are friendly and helpful.
Owners are nice family following up on day to day operations which sustaining a good quality service.
Breakfast could be better, prices for restaurants and beach area is good.
Walking areas needs to be enhanced for smooth navigation.
Rooms are fine and cleaning could be better as well.
Overall the place is really great compared to other hotels in the area from prices perspective.

A fabulous family run hotel, the staff including our lovely cleaner were the best..the location was perfect, so close to the beach was a big bonus...we loved the whole experience...😍

We arrived on the 26th of July. Rooms spotless and cleaned to a high standard every day, towels also changes every day. The pool was warm and very clean. Great beachfrontocation. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We are at a number of restaurants and this one was was one of the few better ones. I think that the only missing opportunity for the restaurant was that it was quite expensive as a number of guests we spoke to would have eaten more there. Overall our stay was a delight and for a 3 star hotel exceeded out expectations. On that basis we will be re visiting this hotel next year so thankyou.
