Reviews
At first glance, everything seemed very nice, but gradually a few things started to affect the atmosphere and our overall vacation mood.
We were a group of 6 people. This was the first hotel we’ve experienced where the bar only allows 2 drinks per person. My boyfriend and I were going to get drinks for everyone so our parents wouldn’t have to wait in line. When we explained that we were a group of 6, we were told in a rather disrespectful way (by someone named Iskander) that all six of us had to stand in line.
Regarding cleanliness – luckily we brought our own shampoo, because during the whole 7-day stay, we didn’t receive any new ones. Only after I insisted did they bring shampoo to one of our parents’ rooms, and only once.
In one of their rooms, the hand soap and shower gel (in wall-mounted dispensers) ran out and were never refilled for the rest of the stay.
Also, on the day we were supposed to check out, housekeeping entered our parents’ room at 9 AM and told them to vacate it, even though check-out was at 12. I told my mother to hang the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, but the staff still entered and placed the sign on the bed.
These are things that clearly need improvement.
On a positive note, some of the staff members were very respectful and kind, the hotel was clean, although the organization in the dining area could be better.
Other than these issues, everything else was fine.
I recently stayed at Armas Gül Beach and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The location of the hotel is perfect — right on the beach, with beautiful views of the sea and easy access to the city center.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our stay. Housekeeping did a great job every day. The food was also a highlight — a wide variety of fresh, delicious dishes at every meal, with something for everyone.
The pool area and beach were always clean and well-organized, with plenty of sunbeds available. The animation team did a great job keeping the atmosphere lively and fun without being intrusive.
Overall, Armas Gül Beach exceeded our expectations. It’s a fantastic choice for a relaxing holiday, and we would definitely love to return in the future!
The beach is full of sunbeds but hard to find unoccupied. First impression from this hotel is highly negative. Furthermore after lunch we couldn’t get to the room as door handle has broken and we had to wait for foreman.
I, Armin, currently staying at Hotel Armas Gul Beach, would like to express my gratitude to the management of the hotel and especially to the staff member, Ramadan Chef. I am very satisfied with all the services, cleanliness, and room service provided by the hotel, and I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
Staff: It feels odd to mention this, but the staff was another issue. Some of them, like the bartenders, were friendly, as was the cleaning lady who tidied our room. However, most of the staff lacked basic customer service skills. The spa staff, especially those handing out towels, were outright rude. Many employees didn’t even greet guests, which was surprising. I'm used to Turkish hotels having friendly staff, but here, it felt like I was in Russia, where people are often curt.
Russian Guests: About 80% of the guests were from Russia, so be prepared for that. Most of the music was Russian, and the staff spoke primarily in Russian, with many unable to communicate in English at all. This could be challenging for non-Russian speakers, so I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you don’t understand Russian, as it will make your stay more difficult.
Entertainment: The entertainment program was dull. There was only one evening where we found the activities enjoyable. We even considered crashing the party at a neighboring hotel, which seemed much more fun.
Beach: The beach itself is good, but it needs more frequent cleaning and better organization. One of the most frustrating aspects was the practice of guests reserving two-thirds of the loungers, even though they weren't actually on the beach. They leave their belongings to hold spots, but don’t show up, making it difficult to find a place despite the large size of the beach. I ended up moving other people’s items just to use a "reserved" lounger. This is a terrible habit of the guests, and unfortunately, the hotel management does nothing to address or regulate it.
Kemer is a beautiful place, and the town itself is small but charming with a good variety of hotels. This wasn't my first time in the area. We rented a car and explored the local sights, which helped brighten our trip.
Overall: I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Not everything was terrible, but the food and some of the staff really spoiled the experience. Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed.
