Where to stay in Selcuk

Very friendly family-feel hotel. location is best of none. it's on a flat ground (avoiding dragging suitcase up hill). it's close to the busy centre of town but also is located on a quiet street. The bus station to Ephesus is just across the street. Some local supermarket on the back side of the bus/taxi park area.

We stayed 5 nights. Umut and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds and lovely shower and yummy breakfast. The location is perfect if traveling on foot, close to bus stop, shops and restaurants. The local sites are close to the hotel. Easy day trip to Ephesus, Kusadasi and Sirince. I highly recommend Nicea Hotel

Nicea Hotel is located in a very convenient location just across the road from the bus station. There are also plenty of good food options very close by as well as supermarkets and shops within a 10 minute walk. We had absolutely the most amazing 3-night stay at Ayasoluk Hotel! The staff are amazing - we loved sitting in the lovely outdoor gardens drinking tea and chatting with Murselin and Samil. The hotel looks very gorgeous. Dinners and breakfast are quite good but the view from the room is quite disappointing. In the night all the fans from electronic devices are so loud that you get flashbacks from sleeping in the airplane.

The windows are made from paper and there was a wedding on the opposite side of the road. The base was echoing and shaking all the walls and it was difficult to sit in the room, not even thinking about sleeping. Also the WiFi works really poorly. But the food and the rooms were quite nice.

Went to Hitit only for lunch. It was a buffet, pretty large spread. It has a huge dining space to cater for tourist groups. The toilets were not well kept, could be because of the large groups of all nationalities, flooding it. I cannot understand why all restaurants Don't give water?? Cannot fathom this? In India the first thing we offer is water.

The room is quite small if compare other 4 stars hotel. But is quite clean and tidy. The double bed is not as big as other 4 star hotel. Location a little bit far from Kusadasi. The food is just average

I like this hotel. There are lots of ridiculous reviews on here that make the hotel sound like a death trap. The rooms are clean the food is good. The staff of the hotel are kind and try to help any way they can. The only drawback for this hotel is that it is right across the street from a wedding venue and if there is a wedding party it is super loud and there is no chance you are likely to fall asleep...

Kudos to Lonely Planet to pointing us towards the Celsus Butik Otel. The rooms are specious and beautifully designed, and the common areas are bright and decorated with plants and flowers. We didnt swim, but the pool looked inviting. Breakfast selection was varied and all delicious. The woman at the front desk (I wish we had gotten her name!) friendly and had us smiling in nearly every interaction

Celsus Hotel is in an excellent location, close to historical sites and restaurants. The staff are so friendly, caring and helpful. The room was lovely although the shower is challenging. We would be happy to return.

The hotel itself is nice, rooms are clean and comfortable and the garden and common areas are nice. Location is very good. Unfortunately the service was not what we expected… the lady from the reception was “rude” at times… when asking her something she seemed bothered by us. Giving low rating due to 2 reasons: 1) bathrooms have transparent glass doors which are not suitable for families with children. 2) there was a problem with air-conditioning and only the person at reception could set temperature and fan speed. Everything else was fine.

Complicated review but tl;dr, book it. We originally booked the penthouse but there was a problem with the toilet. The room was a bit strange as the toilet had no door and your pillow is about six feet away meaning you will see, hear and smell everything your partner does. Eeks. EXTREMELY comfortable bed and a large room. I LOVED the view (mountain). This is an owner-run hotel and the owner speaks German, English and Turkish. Reception gave us valuable advice about what were going to do. The atmosphere at the hotel was very light and the interior chosen with love to detail. I spent very good time and felt well there.

Owner is a great guy, rooms are fine and designed well. Everything met our expectations. I gave 4 stars only because of 2 reasons: I love dogs but the owner's dog is a little too much all over the place. Air conditioners are also quite old and they are positioned badly so you get the cold air blowing to your face when you sleep. Really nice place to stay in Ephesus. Triple roo.m was small but comfortable. Location was great. Staff were super friendly and their little daughter is adorable. Breakfast was really good. The host are so so nice. The pension was under renovation, he forgot to tell us about it. When we came, he moved us to a better hotel. We didn't pay extra cash. We pay with Tuncay Pension's rate but we get better hotel. He said it's his responsibilities. It's all his fault. Wow... respect!!

Obviously doesn't have the 'facilities' of a 5-star but we found the service and location to be really good. Small and basic rooms. Basic breakfast which was started early as we were leaving early with a tour. Plenty of hot water in the bathroom but you need to let the water run a while for it to come through. Very reasonable laundry charge of 150Lt a bag (£7.50)
