Cella Hotel & SPA Ephesus

My favourite hotel in Izmir. Location is full of trees and natural views. Near historic attractions such Ephesus ruins. Small pool for relaxing. Recommended

Our choice of this hotel was indeed fitting. The room boasted a charming small balcony offering stunning views of lush farmland or greenery, complemented by a spacious king-sized bed and essential amenities. Our stay was comfortable, with no notable issues, and the staff exhibited professionalism throughout. The only inconvenience was the need to ascend around 5-10 steps after exiting the elevator to reach our fourth-floor room, which could pose difficulty for guests with large luggage. Nevertheless, the room is well-suited for short-term travelers overall.

Complicated review but tl;dr, book it.

We originally booked the penthouse but there was a problem with the toilet. The room was a bit strange as the toilet had no door and your pillow is about six feet away meaning you will see, hear and smell everything your partner does. Eeks.

We also specifically selected this property as it said it had laundry facilities and bike rentals. It also said pool but we didn’t care about that as much. In the end, none of that was true. Which was extremely frustrating. I don’t like false advertising.

I noticed after some reviews the manager was a bit defensive which makes me nervous. I also saw that the place had won many awards but that had trailed off quite a bit of the past few years.

With the toilet trouble we were able to swap rooms to a west facing room with the a balcony. This ended up being a dream. A total dream. The room was perfect, idyllic, beautiful. We slept so well and had the perfect evening.

We did the trail walk to the ruins which made it so lovely.

So complicated review but the room we stayed in was perfection in a fantastic location. I’d say book it.

We had an awesome experience in Cella Boutique Hotel! First, the hotel arranged a taxi to pick us up from the train station which makes things so much easier for us since we arrived in late at night and not familiar with the area. When we arrived the staff friendly greeted us and served us water which is very considerate! He patiently explained to us information about exploring Ephesus as well as arranging airport shuttle for the day we leave. We even get to enjoy the little late night snacks! The organic breakfast they they offered was great with unique selection of food which is different than other hotels and they really offer good quality food. All the staffs are very nice and helpful and they made us feel like home! I can tell that Cella hotel cares about their customers because they offer exceptional service and good quality products and food for the guests. They even gave us a ride to do our laundry and to the entrance of the gate for for Ephesus ruins, which is a bonus to us. Their hospitality is beyond what we would expected! I wish I could stay longer and I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely love to come back again if we visit Ephesus.

Amazing, we never wanted to checkout. It's like a Palace and they treat you like Gods.
Their Manager was a lady named Jonsi (I think) and she was the best at her job.
Ambience, architecture, location, scenery etc everything was the best. Pool, dinning area and free cycles, sauna ; Perfect.

If you want to stay at a cozy boutique hotel where you feel like 1. You're at home, 2. You're family ,than this is the place for you to stay! This hidden gem is truly one of a kind. We were first greatest by Gul at the front desk. She was so lovely, caring and outgoing. We checked in with ease and she showed us to our room. We had a slight hiccup with the room we were staying at and she easily switched us to a new suite with also had the best view. Once I got settled in I asked if I could have Turkish coffee and she happily made two cups for me. The following day we were welcomed with open arms to breakfast. I didn't catch the two women that helped us out with the spread of delicious food but they were just as amazing! I also needed a quick fix with my pants as they needed to be altered and one of the ladies quickly sewed my pants and they fit perfectly!! I couldn't thank her enough!! Prior to leaving Ibrahim also assisted us and made us feel welcome as well... He sat and spoke with us helping us out with our days adventures to Ephesus, Virgin Marys house and Artemis temple ruins... All of the staff are absolutely perfect and I wish that this could be replicated everywhere in the world. I was so sad to leave this boutique hotel. The night prior to us leaving I spoke to Gul and gave her the biggest hug. I wish I could have taken her with us on our trip!

So if this is the type of experience you want to have for yourself... I definitely recommend coming over to this secret getaway! They also have this magnificent blue pool and I forgot to mention that we had a balcony that had chairs and a table to sit out there. We were able to have our Turkish coffee out there and watch the beautiful sunset! We will never forget this hotel and I'll be recommending it to everyone!!
