Very friendly family-feel hotel. location is best of none. it's on a flat ground (avoiding dragging suitcase up hill). it's close to the busy centre of town but also is located on a quiet street. The bus station to Ephesus is just across the street. Some local supermarket on the back side of the bus/taxi park area.

We stayed 5 nights. Umut and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds and lovely shower and yummy breakfast. The location is perfect if traveling on foot, close to bus stop, shops and restaurants. The local sites are close to the hotel. Easy day trip to Ephesus, Kusadasi and Sirince. I highly recommend Nicea Hotel

The Situation;
We're travelling as a family group of 5, which means that in most places, we'll need two rooms to fulfil our needs. The booking at Nicea Hotel was for a 4 Person Family room and a 2 Person room.
The Good;
Our two rooms were well appointed & clean, with super comfortable beds & good bathrooms + hot water.
Breakfast was enough to get you going in the morning, but we found ourselves wanting by about 11am. The spread on offer was fair, local and fresh.
All the staff were great at every level, from the reception, cleaning staff and the breakfast staff.
The location is right next door to the museum and a short walk into town for a feed. There's a number of really good small restaurants in town too, but be prepared to shop around for a good deal.
The Not So Good;
The hotel was a bit dated, but not too much so. It was still very functional.
The Verdict;
This is a well run and fair hotel, suitable for families and couples in a good location. If you have a car, like we did, there's paid, secure parking next to the museum for a small fee.

1. Owner & Staffs
Absolutely friendly and helpful in so many ways. Owner, Ismail upgraded my bunk bed to a room by myself. He even invited me to enjoy a family Turkish dinner. Staffs were socially chatty with great conversations. Is surely key highlight of the hotel. The hospitality just phenomenally heartwarming.
2. Room
Very comfortable bed and surely clean bed linens!
Water closet may need some maintenance especially on mold stains.
3. Location
5 mins walk to the bus terminal. Remember don’t use your Google map o look for the hotel. Inside the bus terminal main entrance, turn right from the main entrance, and just cross the main roads. See a park and a mosque and voila that’s the hotel.
4. Breakfast

Nicea Hotel is located in a very convenient location just across the road from the bus station. There are also plenty of good food options very close by as well as supermarkets and shops within a 10 minute walk. For the small amount of money you pay for a night, do not expect the Ritz Carlton, but what you will get is a comfortable room and even a buffet Turkish style breakfast. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and will give you recommendations on where to go and what to see. They even have a laundry service at 50tl per bag, which is pretty amazing for a hotel!
There are only two downsides we found, neither of which are really the fault of the hotel or their staff: Our room had the smell of smoke, despite there being signs everywhere around the hotel saying smoking is forbidden in rooms. Not so bad that we would ask to change rooms, but it was definitely there. It's hard for them to really police I suppose.
The second downside: The hotel is situated right next to a mosque, so you will be woken up every morning around 5am. If you are not an early morning person, you have been warned.
In short, we would certainly stay again. The friendly service and hospitality, easily makes up for any small negatives.

The hotel is two stars but everything was perfect. Their hospitality was great and they knew English as well. The location is so good... so close to the urban bus station and the Ephesus museum. You can simply walk to two other archaeological sites (such as Artemis temple) nearby. The room was so clean and well-furnitured, included a balcony the pricing was so appropriate. The breakfast was included and its little garden was so cozy.

I have been travelling for a long time in many different countries so had stayed in many different hotels and hostels. I just have few places I felt like a home and Nicea hotel is one of them. Great hospitality, clean rooms, beautiful chilling area in backyard. you can walk everywhere in city center.it is just across to otogar(bus station).

Nice hotel near Efes. It is situated in the centre of city. Stuff is gentle. Rooms are big and clean. It is nice to use the hotel like base to explorer ruins. Recommended.

Good kocation, nice room but unfortunately, the breakfast is so simple, only steam corn, bread, cereal. Possibility, it is one bad point of the hotel. Please improve the breakfast being more variation.
