Disappointing Stay – Only the View Was Worth It I stayed at Helife Hotel in Cappadocia for 2 nights, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations—especially considering I had requested VIP accommodations through Latitude Tour Operator. From the moment I arrived, the first impression was underwhelming. The reception area is outdated, with very tired furniture that makes the entrance feel neglected and unwelcoming. While the room itself was decent, the rest of the hotel lacks warmth, charm, and personality. The only truly memorable feature was the beautiful view of the hot air balloons at sunrise—a magical Cappadocia experience, but not something exclusive to this hotel. Breakfast was another disappointment. Although the set menu was acceptable, the environment was depressing and not well kept. While we were eating, a staff member was sweeping and cleaning around us, which was unpleasant and not appropriate during breakfast hours. Overall, the space did not feel very clean. To make matters worse, the service was unfriendly. When I asked for cups to serve myself coffee from an old self-service machine, the waiter rudely told me to wait. I also mistakenly sat at a communal table—there were only four tables in total—and the waiter reacted harshly when asking me to move, treating me with visible annoyance. I cannot recommend this hotel. There are many better-run and more welcoming boutique hotels in Cappadocia. Sadly, I trusted a local operator—Latitude Tours—who failed to deliver on the VIP experience both here and in Istanbul. Please do your research before booking. Cappadocia is a magical destination, but this hotel does not do it justice.

A hugely disappointing stay. The good: well located, lovely views from the terrace, friendly cook. The bad: The hotel looks like it is under renovation. Our room had wires hanging out of most walls, there were empty niches waiting for decorations, rubble falling from the ceiling, dust everywhere. Cleaning was only perfunctory (bits of plastic on a carpet under the table found when we got there were still there when we left), everything felt dusty all the time. There was no heating even though the reception claimed that it's on. We had to ask for a separate heater to keep warm. No smoke alarm in the room. Most of the staff was indifferent. The hotel has a potential but they need to spend time fixing it before letting people stay.

I've stayed 3 nights here. It was very nice stay with good view and comfortable bed. Breakfast is massive. Staff was all nice. Especially, Zehra who worked at breakfast room, her service was exceptional, friendly and kind. My stomach was too much full every morning. Love it.

Booked 6 months ago, last Oct 2024, at an attractive price. Great experience living in a cave, but with modern facilities, less , which is great. Daily Turkish breakfast greets us every day at 8.15am onwards. Thank U for taking care of us

It's hard to rate a hotel like this - after all it's not everyday you get to stay in a cave hotel! The basics are certainly there - I was happy enough with my room, the hotel is centrally located and the views from the outside area are great. But there's not much attention to detail; for example I had no plug in my basin, there was a hole in one of my pillowcases, they didn't offer a laundry service. It felt like they knew you were never coming back so they had no need to go the extra mile. So the basic infrastructure of the business was there, but it definitely needed management with a more discerning eye.

I wtite in the hope people will read this before booking this place. The view is beautiful,but there are plenty more hotels with same view. Rooms are old and smelly. We were a group of 10 so had booked 5 rooms with them. On one of the rooms the toilet exploded and management said: all we can do is move you to another room,but they did not even help us with our stuff as it got so smelly.... Rooms here are so warm we couldn't sleep. During the day we had to leave the doors open. Their promised daily cleaning consists of changing the towels and that' s it! No change of bins and no hoovering the floors which I must remind you are full of dust. Hotel is old and not even close to the photos you see on their website or insta. Be careful!

Very nice boutique hotel. Best place to see stunning sunrise valley & balloons show from open terrace. Good rooms in cave style, turkish breakfast is perfect. Since you arrive they treat you like an old friend and familiy member Thanks to Helike team for 3 day stay !

The lights in my room suddenly shut down sometime, I have been asking for turn on. The free wine bottle for ******* gold member didn't provide even I talk with reception, they tell me asking *******.

The rooms are clean and staff are very friendly. View from the terraces are fantastic! Recommend to wake up early to view the hot air balloons from the terrace. Breakfast food was great and such a feast. The only thing is the sound proofing is not 5 star, so if neighbors from other rooms are chatting loudly in the courtyard you can hear it.
