Kilindi Zanzibar in Kendwa

We had the most incredible honeymoon at Kilindi Zanzibar and can’t recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely outstanding every single member of staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. A special thank you to Lily, who made our honeymoon truly unforgettable with so many thoughtful touches and attention to detail.

Each night we came back to the most adorable room décor and surprises that made us smile. The private beach dinner was beautifully set up with so much effort put in a truly magical evening with delicious food. Speaking of food, every meal we had was excellent, and we especially enjoyed the cooking class with Doris, which was such a fun and memorable experience.

We also loved the activities paddle-boarding on the crystal-clear water was a highlight, it is so lovely having a private area off a busy beach area. The spa at Kilindi was simply amazing, we used the spa three times during our stay because the treatments and facilities were just that good. Another standout was the in-room dinner paired with a cozy movie night such a unique and intimate experience.

Kilindi is the perfect mix of luxury, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Thank you to the whole team for making our honeymoon so special we’ll cherish the memories forever.

We had an amazing 4 night stay at Kilindi to wrap up our Honeymoon in Tanzania. The hotel itself is unique with a beautiful pool area that overlooks a small cove where local fishermen can be seen giving an insight into local life on the island. What really set Kilindi apart for us was the staff who made sure we never wanted for anything and the food, which was amazing! (Shoutout to Lillian who was our personal attendant during our stay and went above and beyond)

Amazing grounds but staff truly resonates most. Whole team, especially Lilian, goes above and beyond with extreme thoughtfulness, attention to detail, friendliness, and care. Will be back!

From the moment we arrived, our wonderful assistant Lilli anticipated our every wish – truly the best service ever! Every morning Veronica from housekeeping surprised us by decorating our villa with beautiful creative touches. This paradise took our breath away: the food was a dream, the atmosphere absolutely magical, and the beach was pure white with turquoise waters. We stayed in Villa #11, which had an amazing location and total privacy 🌅. We even joined a cooking class and immersed ourselves in the flavors of Swahili cuisine. The massages were fantastic too – pure relaxation. We’d give more than five stars to Lilli and the entire Kilindi team ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. A beautiful place and such a memorable stay, from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave you are truly treated like royalty, it was a trip of a lifetime for us and the perfect way to start our honeymoon, a super special thanks to Lilian, she has been incredible and has made us feel so special during our trip and really has looked after us the whole time we have been here. We don’t want to give too much away but every day there was something different arranged and lots of little surprises which really did make our stay unforgettable, thank you to all of the amazing team, hopefully we will be back in the future

We spent our delayed honeymoon/first anniversary trip at Kilindi. The staff work tirelessly to ensure each moment of your stay is memorable, everyone is ready to help with anything and everything. The villas are beautiful and the beds are very comfortable. Loads of wildlife around the grounds which was really cool to observe - look out for the bush babies at dinner, they love a bit of bread! The management team of Said and Meghan saved us with some additional medication when our supplies ran out after we both caught a cold and upset stomach (not from hotel food). They checked in on us multiple times to ensure we were on the mend. Our villa host, Salum, was fantastic and anticipated pretty much our every need. The ladies at the spa were also lovely and the treatments we had were some of the best we’ve ever had at a spa anywhere. The extreme tides were interesting to observe but it does mean you need to time your sea swim as the water recedes pretty far, especially in the spring. Overall, we would recommend Kilindi to just about everyone!
