Kiwengwa Bungalow Boutique Resort in Kiwengwa

We spent a week at Mvuvi for my husband’s birthday in October and we had the most wonderful stay in this beautiful place. It was a real boutique experience and you could see that it is a family business. It is well run, the staff are all happy and delivering a great service, the managers are here everyday to make sure things run smoothly and the two restaurants of the hotel had more than enough choices of delicious food for you to just stay within the beautiful premises of the resort. The resort is tastefully decorated, the rooms are clean and spacious and we specially liked that they prepared our beds every evening, this little extra special touch was really great. The beach was clean everyday and the water was perfect for swimming and even some days the kite surfers had their perfect weather. We would definitely like to go back again.

Such a beautiful place to stay with amazing, hospitable staff. The rooms are spacious and clean with housekeeping visiting twice daily. Breakfast overlooking the beach is magical. The small pool is perfect as well for a light dip in the heat. Would highly recommend.

We had a truly wonderful time at Mvuvi. The property offers a beautifully designed, relaxing landscape. The half-board option gives you access to two nice restaurants with a good variety of food. Cocktails were excellent, and breakfast was delicious.

What really makes Mvuvi special is the staff – warm, welcoming, and always eager to help. At times, it was a little challenging to communicate specific food preferences due to language barriers.

The only reason I’m not giving a full five stars is that I would have loved a bit more attention to detail in the rooms. On arrival, there was a slight musty smell, and small touches like bedside lamps for a cozy atmosphere, room slippers for sandy feet, and bathrobes would have made the stay feel even more luxurious.

The fact that they had their own secure beach entry without being directly on the beach front. the beach bar/restaurant was well stocked with good food and drinks. The Resort restaurant was really good as well. A special thanks to Lameck and above all to Shani , she really solved a booking issue with us very professionally.

Kiwengwa bungalows is a superb, homely, clean resort on an absolute stunning beach. The staff are phenomenal and cannot help you enough. They are really attentive and they do it with the biggest smiles on their faces. There are two options for dining, the main dining central to the bungalows and a beach bar. Both of which are superb! Outstanding all round and would highly recommend to all visiting Zanzibar.

The best relaxing resort ever ..the beach is few steps away..the food by chef Peter and his team is delicious with wide variety..the resort and the pools are clean..I can't thank enough Mrs evana the management with her team ..they don't save any efforts to serve us..and they made a nice and special birthday to my husband...

We only have good words for this place - a breathtaking location, an intimate atmosphere, a great staff. The beach is beautiful and the the two restaurants are defintitely to recommend. The rooms are nice and clean, with a stunning ocean view.

We had a great romantic stay in this hotel which has only positive points. Its location is perfect directly on the beach, quiet and intimate. The staff is great. They are smiling, available and very friendly. The two restaurants offer a varied and good choice. The breakfasts are excellent. For wind lovers, the equipment offered by the hotel as well as its staff are great. Finally, the owners are attentive to their customers and very pleasant. We will return with pleasure.

Numerous stays with dozens of travelers and every visit is magical! Owner/chef Domenico and his lovely wife Gertrude are the perfect hosts at their small, cozy Kiwengwa Bungalow Boutique Resort. With only 14 bungalows situated amid the lush grounds surrounding the central pool and dining pavilion, the overall feeling is comfortably intimate. Bungalows are clean, comfortable and modestly furnished. Domenico is everywhere every day carefully attending to every aspect of the resort. And his wonderful staff lead by Shaney and Nganeli oversee even the smallest detail of your stay. And the food! Every meal, whether you eat in the main dining pavilion or down at the new Beach Bar, is memorable. Domenico does it all masterfully - pasta, seafood, poultry, salads, meats, desserts! Meals are an absolute highlight of every visit! Kiwengwa Bungalow Boutique Resort - year after year is my favorite island retreat!
