Reviews
The bathroom wasn't completely to my liking because only the toilet and tub were enclosed; the sink is outside, making it not very private. Also, keep in mind that it takes quite a while for the hot water to come out, but it does eventually.
The bed wasn't very comfortable, and the sheets were rough. One of our pillows even had a stain upon arrival.
The room has heating.
The hotel pool and jacuzzi are very nice and pleasant. We went in the evening, and everything was very calm.
The reception staff's service is very good.
As for breakfast, it’s not spectacular, but it offers several items: bread, eggs, pastries, among others.
Conveniently situated in a prime area, making it easily accessible to various attractions and amenities. This aspect of the hotel stands out as its most significant advantage.
Service Experience
Unfortunately, the service at the front desk was far from satisfactory. Me experince was saturated with a lack of professionalism and attentiveness from the staff. Issues such as long wait times for check-in and unhelpful responses to inquiries. This poor level of service can significantly detract from the enjoyment of a stay, especially when expecting a welcoming atmosphere upon arrival.
Payment Issues
Another concerning aspect of my stay was related to the online payment process. It appeared sketchy since it only covered “the reservation” rather than the full cost of the room. Upon arrival, I was required to pay for the room in full again, which created confusion and frustration. Additionally, I encountered issues with a $100 deposit that was never returned after my stay. Such financial discrepancies leave guests feeling uneasy and dissatisfied with their overall experience.
Cafeteria Staff
On a more positive note, I found that the staff in the cafeteria area were friendly and accommodating. Their warm demeanor provided a brief respite from the otherwise disappointing aspects of my visit. The cafeteria staff’s willingness to assist and create a pleasant dining environment is commendable and deserves recognition amidst an otherwise lackluster experience.
In summary, while the location of Ayres Hotel is commendable, significant shortcomings in service at the front desk and payment processes overshadow this advantage. The friendly cafeteria staff provide some relief but cannot compensate for the overall negative experience.
The rooms are next level luxurious. Like, we’re talking beds so comfy you’ll feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud, and the bathrooms? HUGE. The showers have that perfect water pressure, making you wanna stay in there forever.
Breakfast is fire—plenty of options to fuel up for the day, whether you’re hitting up Disneyland or a concert at Honda Arena. Oh, and pro tip: the water with lemons in the lobby has this nice bitter bite type beat that just hits after a long day out.
Location-wise, it’s clutch. You’re close to Honda Arena, super close to Disney, and right by the ARTic bus and transit center, so getting around is a breeze. All in all, if you’re looking for comfort and vibes, this place has you covered.
