Harborside at Harbor Resort and Marina

This is our favorite destination near Charleston! The property is well maintained. It has everything we need from pools, hot tub, fire pits and a gym. There is a fantastic restaurant on site called The Fish House. The Reel in bar is a fun place to grab a cocktail.
 What makes this  place so special is the wonderful guest service. Thank you to the manager Ryan and  Sophie for our beautiful room with a view. It was a perfect stay!

Sea view room, nice view, the equipment is a little old, but it can be used normally, the bedding is very high-end, free parking, not far from the bridge, strongly recommend everyone to go to the bridge, very close to the aircraft carrier park, 5 minutes walk, there is a free shuttle bus to the ancient town, in short, a good hotel

Staying on the 4th floor is amazing for the view! (Not so much when the elevator isn’t working) Sophie at the front desk was AMAZING at customer service!!!! I would hire her in a heartbeat given the opportunity. The room was clean and very comfortable. Quiet with all the details you would want in a southern home. I would recommend taking a bath in the jetted tub and duping your toes in the sand. Perfect vacation

My first time visiting this place, even though it was for work I will say, I love it. I had a nice view. The front desk is very professional and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean. The only issue I had was the bathtub door, the water was going all out when showering. The bathroom needs a bit of more lighting but after that everything else was great, I will definitely will return and I definitely do recommend it. The view, is amazing.

We had a great experience our family took our first vacation and drove 14 hours. From the time we got to the resort the staff was amazing my son received a cute turtle and he was so excited since his birthday was the next day. He was so happy! The ice cream for the kids the pools the cleanliness ext. I could go on! The view from our balcony was perfect and relaxing!

Rent a boat or take a water taxi to Charleston.

Very interesting history facts... just be sure to take your best walking shoes if you visit the USS Yorktown and Laffey... also I might add, just being very honest: don't expect to tour all the floors of the Yorktown if you quite healthy, energetic, slim person.. Our son is almost 6 feet tall (165 lbs, 32 inches at waist) hit his head a couple of times due to very tight spaces and very steep and narrow steps. up and down. We all had to squeeze between some areas. At the very least, a four-hour tour will probably be as quick as you can get. Longer if you want to absorb most of the facts. It is very interesting to see how they lived on board with all the necessary equipment and provisions. MARVELOUS !! When you finally reach the upper deck, you will find several planes still parked there. I understand that some official "big wigs" have annual meetings, banquets, etc. PS No air circulation inside the upper decks over the ground deck until you are outside the aircraft deck. Quite stuffy. I had to wet a rag and wipe my face all the time; I got hot from going up and down the stairs and walking non-stop.

Breakdown on the room. Beware of the pictures they post of a room you book. You may not get what was shown. We booked a harbor view king with a balcony. The picture showed 2 chairs in between the bed and the TV for sitting. We get to the room and no chairs and about 6ft of space gone. The balcony had water standing on it because the drain was covered in sand and debris.

We went back to the front desk to discuss and show. They brought the manager out and he said those are professionally done photos which we said that is fine but you shouldn't false represent the room. He went to work and moved us to the room style we thought we booked. The only issue we lost the balcony as this didn't have one but the extra space made up for it and we still had a nice harbor view. After the manager went back to his office we apologized to the front desk saying we were sorry if we seemed difficult but they told us not to worry it happens all the time so to the resort stop representing your rooms by style incorrectly. Your resort as a whole is nice and earned the 4 stars because of your staff as a whole after fixing the room along with the friendly housekeepers and bar employees. we just shouldn't have had to come back down in the first place.

Very nice hotel. In a beautiful location. The facilities were also fine. A nice shop, an excellent restaurant, and a shuttle to the center. Highly recommended!
