Just got back from three wonderful nights at the Mill House Grand..and "Grand" it is...we used one day to drive into Savannah and back because of the short distance. It was nice to have a valet park your car after a long day of sightseeing.. Every thing was perfect. The building itself was beautiful, but it is not being well maintained. This not an issue in the rooms, which are spotless, but the common areas such as around the stairs need work. You can access the hotel rooftoo via a small elevator. There was about a 5 minute wait to ride elevator on the day I visited. I just went for a few drinks and didn't order any food. The main attraction is of course the view. There are a few different levels and areas that offer different perspectives of the surrounding area. This place is a gem! Great walking distance to everything in Charleston's French Quarter, delicious breakfast options, and a clean, comfy and quiet room. The best part of the stay was the manager Donna. She was one of the nicest people we've ever met and gave us plenty of recommendations and insights about the area.

We stayed for 2 nights in the State Room. The room is nice but very noisy. There is no insulation between the room and the street or the room and the courtyard, so you hear everything going on.
