Shuttle bus was great and staff very helpful. Restaurant food excellent.
They offer a great breakfast buffet or you can order off a menu. Servers are very friendly and do a great job. We feel John and Joe go out of their way to make us feel welcomed and happy. Definitely worth a try!
Always extremely clean! We had breakfast added to our room price. The buffet was very good. Enough variety for someone who has picky tastes . It’s very relaxing to sit at any window and look out across and see the old “Cooper River Bridge”, which I ran once and Fort Sumter.
The hotel has been well-maintained over the years. It has been renovated and feels fairly modern. The beds are very comfortable and the staff are kind. We enjoyed the rooftop restaurant that provides a lovely view of the river. The shuttle to the downtown area is a great feature. Our only complaints are that the shower didn't drain well and that a group of loud motorcyclists hung out right outside...
Nice, clean hotel in a good location. Was bummed that you couldn't actually go out on the balcony. That was the whole reason we had chosen this hotel so that we had a place to sit after our kids had gone to bed.
The Staff was wonderful. The rooms were old. The bathroom had a lot to be desired. The pool wasn't filled. The shuttle to downtown was very convenient.
I wouldn't not suggest this hotel. And I have stayed at many Holiday Inns.

The front desk staff was amazing. The bed was super comfortable.
Stayed Aug 1st, 2023. I’m a return guest largely in part based on this location’s outstanding customer service. Once again, they did not disappoint. Front desk agent Miss Marilyn was so kind and friendly, she instantly brought a smile to my face after a long and tiring journey. She was professional, thorough and very efficient. I’m hoping management reviews this for a well deserved “pat on the back...
When we were looking at different hotels and their amenities in the area, this one stood out the most. This includes the great reviews that were listed online. The biggest point for us to stay here was that it had the indoor pool and jacuzzi. This was for the kids' mini vacation. When we got into the pool, it was very cold. With it being an indoor pool, we assumed it would have been heated. Now it...
The hotel is great and the staff is wonderful, I would stay here without any hesitation. However, being a Diamond member the Garden Inn was a hotel where I could get a better breakfast service complimentary cooked to order, with the new credit vouchers this is no longer the case. The voucher is not much daily and the amount has to be charged to your room and then the credit appears, with my company...

Hampton Inn-Historic District
Charleston, 345 Meeting Street 🧭 Map
Nice enough hotel, clean, decent breakfast. My only complaint is the rooms have only one small window so they're pretty dark, and ours was always cold.
Excellent hotel, location, customer service! Ashley provided amazing customer service to us. They really do a great job of making you feel like you’re a VIP guest. Kim at the front desk was also amazing and another staffer today gave my kids coloring books. I was really impressed by the location, the experience, the customer service, the rooms. Highly recommend and we plan to be back sometime.
Some of y’all had me scared I was about to stay in a nasty, rundown Hampton. We walked in and checked in easily with Matt. No teenagers running the front nor any loitering going on inside or around the doors of the hotel. I did ask about the price difference in the parking garage. Turns out $24 every midnight is more costly than the flat $42 a night. Also guaranteed a spot and can go in and out of...
Standards have lowered as with most everything in society. Really it’s all to be expected. Years ago Hilton and Sheraton were considered high end hotels .. not anymore. So, if they lower their standards what can you expect from those hotels lower on the totem pole. Hampton Inn was at one point considered a “quality” hotel but that’s a thing of the past. Paper thin walls .. riff raff traipsing through...
Great amenities , great family atmosphere, comfortable rooms, bathroom very clean, breakfast was wonderful, located in a great area. Coffee shops and other eateries nearby.
I wouldn’t say there was anything overly special about our stay, but I was completely blown away about the hospitality that each and every employee showed us during our stay. From the General Manager to housekeeping and everyone in between, they were just so kind. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. The location was fantastic. I logged 13k steps each day! It is also a stop for the free public...

Embassy Suites - Historic District
Charleston, 337 Meeting Street 🧭 Map
The hotel is nice enough but it is ready for an update. I understand it is in historic Charleston but that's not an excuse to not update the carpets.
The staff are super friendly and the location is fantastic. The price per night is a bit steep for what you get but it is a prime Charleston location.
Hotel has lots of history. Citadel from long ago.
First floor rooms seem to be a little larger than upper floors. Staff is very friendly, willing to help. Breakfast was great, eggs cooked to order. Bar in evening was good. Lots of good restaurants and bars within walking distance.
This place is so cool. It is a nice place. The rooms are spacious and you get free drinks. Also, you get food at a time when everyone needs a place to relax after a day that you walk around the city. It has a pool and all the stuff you need. I am very satisfied. 5 stars
This hotel is really unique and its historic nature as a former barracks is really quite awesome. The staff that work here are very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I love how eager they are to help, really great attitudes, a real standard for how hotels staff should be. The room had a lot of historical quality from its former days. The place is laid out like a fort. I really awesome authentic...
Nice hotel overall, clean and quiet. Breakfast was good. Valet parking guys were super nice as was all the staff I encounter. But the double bedroom in the suite is much smaller than pictures led you to believe. Both beds were pushed up against walls, no walking space at all for those sides and no space to move them. There is no closet, so only an armoire to hang clothes and very little extra space...
This hotel has charm and history. I think they should make some of that history available. The service staff was great. Very clean and friendly. The rooms need some updating, though. As an older structure, the room is missing handy electrical outlets and newer amenities. Slightly run down. Always important, the bed was not as comfortable as I have come to expect at Embassy. Again, very friendly, great...

I have stayed at other Hyatt hotels, and this did not come up to the standard of other Hyatt. The rooms were too carmpy where the others were more spacious.
It’s a beautiful hotel in a great location. They have a decent free breakfast, but no free coffee once breakfast is over. Tv is in a pretty rough location for the two beds. But overall, a really fine stay.
The hotel was nice. But I have 2 complaints with my room (207), the thermostat had a motion or light sensor so it would turn off if I wasn't in the room. Which meant it got hot while I wasn't there. The shower was nice but the water pressure was weak and the temperature was impossible to set. It was either scolding hot, hot, or off.
The elevators were really slow, sometimes faster to use the stairs...
It took quite a bit of time for the shuttle to pick us up from the airport even though we called ahead. We booked a double queen room and were told once we got to the hotel that they were all booked and we could take a king with a double pull out. That was frustrating. We were able to move to a double queen for our second night. The rooms are set up so that the bathrooms include just the tub and toilet...
Decent room, being close to the airport is not my favored location. Breakfast was fairly standard. Unfortunately they also lock down the TV inputs so you cannot use a person device like Google TV. One set of the stairs was blocked for painting, which seems a bit of a hazard, and something that should be easy enough to make happen quickly.
This was by far one of the best hotel stays that I've ever had. The staff were great and welcoming, the amenities were perfect, breakfast was great, and the hotel was very clean. We went for a family vacation, and even though it was cold, the hotel made our trip that much more enjoyable.

Candlewood Suites-Northwoods, an IHG Hotel
Charleston, 2177 Northwoods Blvd. 🧭 Map
Loved the property everything was amazing will be staying there again staffing we just fabulous ⭐⭐
Really loved the room. Personnel were attentive. Easy access to almost anywhere.
Oh wow ! My family and I recently stayed at the Candlewood and it was fantastic ! The entire staff was really nice and accommodating, their suites are clean , spacious and family friendly. It’s like a home away from home . It’s conveniently located near Walmart, Dillards , Dollar Tree and others , yet the property is safe and quiet. We would definitely stay there again.
Has to be one of our worst stays
Our room had a weird smell, it was dated and it wasn’t very clean. I had to purchase room spray from Burlingtons next door. There were roaches, hallways didn’t feel really safe, dark & dirty, outside smells of **** on multiple days. Day 3 there was a fire in one of the rooms. Overall we felt dirty and unsafe, my family unfortunately had to stay bc we didn’t have additional...
The staff was really nice, my room was cleaned by Jennifer upon arrival and she did a fantastic job. The rooms were spacious and roomy it was very comfortable. I would stay there again.
I'm impressed. For an extended stay hotel, the rooms are nice and spacious, the staff is very friendly and helpful, Plus they treat you like family. The pluses outweigh any of the negatives.

Comfort Inn Downtown
Charleston, 144 Bee Street 🧭 Map
Average hotel. It’s currently under construction so no access to pool. Elevators are a little creepy and scary. Room was average. Hot water took forever to warm up.
The new remodel is looking fabulous, new room upgrades, I can't wait to return when it is completed. The front staff was Amazing I wish I could remember her name, she was working on 09/23 morning shift.
Being upgraded, looks really nice, room was large and comfortable. My only concern is the bathroom could have been cleaner. We will be returning in november.
Even though the place is under construction. Is still clean and comfortable. The room was very clean . And the lady at the front desk was so nice
Nice room. Great view. Clean. Safe env. Staff was super friendly. Under renovations. Breakfast was grab and go. Nice stay
The reception is a building site, be warned because no one else will mention it ! The receptionist did assure me it is in the small print of every booking platform but it is well hidden in my experience. After the shock of the state of the place and the lift’s filthy interior things improved in seeing the room. Had a renovated room in the 7th floor which was well equipped and comfortable bed and pillows...

Staybridge Suites - - Mount Pleasant, an IHG Hotel
Charleston, 251 Sessions Way 🧭 Map
Nice, clean hotel with helpful and friendly staff. It is a great place to stay outside of Charleston, but not too far away to get to downtown. Close to a grocery store also. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. Good size with a functional kitchen and two bathrooms.
Staybridge Mount Pleasant is the perfect location in Mount Pleasant! 10-15 minutes to IOP, 7ish to Sullivans Island and a couple to Patriots Point. The room came with a HUGE fridge, stovetop, microwave, sink, and dishes!! The breakfast was an excellent value. All you can eat, and tasty as far as hotel breakfasts go! They even have free food and drinks Monday-Wednesday evening. Get a room away from...
1st time traveling to Charleston, SC and didn't know the area. This hotel was perfect and close to all area attractions and restaurants. The hotel did not disappoint. I liked the fact that it had a mini efficiency. Plenty of room in the King Suite. Very clean and room smelled nice. Comfortable bed. No noise even though it was off the main highway over the bridge. Pretty decent breakfast in the...
Arrived Tuesday approx 3:30 room was ready excellent polite staff. Happy Hour was perfect Appetizers and Beer & Wine. Breakfast was excellent fresh and plenty of food. Room was very clean and comfortable. Pool was nice and cool.
Excellent location, very nice staff and very clean facilities. Bed excellent!
Wonderful place to stay. The staff is great and very responsive. We have stayed here several times the past year and everything has been perfect every time. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you have everything you need, and are all most helpful. Perfect place.

Charleston, 475 East Bay Street 🧭 Map
This has officially become our new favorite HGV location! You feel spoiled as soon as you enter your room and appreciated by every member of the staff. We were really happy about not being pressured to do a member update. It was refreshing!
Juan was absolutely amazing. He made our trip awesome . I wish everybody at that place had a great attitude like him. Anything we needed he was there to help. Went way over above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay.
The valet David was excellent when we checked in. Front desk staff was courteous. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Perfect location for exploring Charleston.
Another great experience staying at this residence. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean and fresh. Everyone provided a good experience.
Convenient location to the SC Aquarium and within walking distance of the market and restaurants. They also had great parking accommodations
Outstanding property! Great service from valet to front desk to housekeeping! Cafe makes a mean Açaí bowl and Iced Coffee! Second stay and will definitely return.

The location was great! The maintenance, kitchen, bar and cleaning staff were friendly and welcoming. At breakfast there was a good choice and the managers reception was also very good.
,
This was such a nice hotel! Room for 6 to sleep; having the two separate sleeping/living areas is wonderful, and the sleek decor gives off a low-key “penthouse suite” vibe- probably as close as you can get on a family budget anyway!! The free breakfast in the morning is really quite nice (for processed food, you know), coffee is piping hot, and the elegance of the dining area really makes the experience...
Love the location. My stay at this hotel was great. I thought the staff was amazing and very helpful with things to do/eat in the area. The hot breakfast in the morning was out of this world and a great addition, saving from driving out. I wasn't a fan of the $25 night parking, think this is something the hotel should cover. I'm a clean freak and is "VERY" detailed. My room was cleaned nicely only...
Wow!! This hotel exceeded expectations in every way. The room was immaculate and every detail was thought of. The pool and fitness center were conveniently located and in great condition. The parking garage on site was 25 a night (which is a little high), but was covered and connected directly to the hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. On top of everything, this...
We stayed for our army marriage retreat and we had an amazing time here. The breakfast is perfect with a bonus of freshly made omelettes of your choice. Our room was clean and beautiful. The property is well maintained. All the staff were extremely nice. The complimentary drinks at night definitely a bonus. This place is close to everything and there’s an amazing walking trail with great views. We...

5 stars from this solo traveler!
Extremely clean. No issues with anything. Friendly, helpful staff. Perfect hotel experience! Will definitely choose again if given the opportunity.
Awesome and comfortable! We really enjoyed, the hotel management takes care to make sure everthing everything is clean and works as it should.
The only disappointment for my husband was, there was no sausage gravy at breakfast! 😅
Overall a great experience! Michael was a great help to us in getting us a confirmation as well as checking us in. The entire staff was fantastic. We will definitely return to this location on our next trip to Charleston.
Great hotel. Super clean, the. Staff was excellent, friendly and caring.. The breakfast was great, hot buffet, plenty of fresh fruit, muffins, coffee, and waffle maker. We stayed in a two Queen bed suite And it was perfect for us. The pool is a little small, but even still, we had a great time. Would definitely book this hotel Again, and recommend to others. Five Stars all the way.
Great place to stay!
Our room was nice, clean, and spacious. We will be staying here again in the future.
The people were great. The place was well kept. The only issue was one morning my son got a milk and it had soured and got clumps. The fridge for it wasn't cold enough and stayed barelycold. However once I brought it to their attention they went through the milk.
We would stay here again. Staff was very friendly and eager to help. Made the stay much nicer. I liked how they had thongs that could be...
