The staff wasn't sure which book I was referencing but I didn't want to be difficult so I told them I'd just browse the website (even though they tried to accommodate my request several times by getting me another key to the room to go get the book
We did not stay here but will plan on it in the future. We popped in to check out the Christmas festivities and trees. We even got to meet Santa. My photos and videos offer the experience to you. Enjoy!
Very lovely front desk manager Morgan was so sweet to us when we arrived! Felt like family and our room & meals were perfect. Can't wait for our next trip 😀
Can't say enough about the staff at Charleston Place. Check-in to check-out everything was fantastic
Hammering, drilling, maybe a jackhammer? It’ll calm down for an hour or so here and there, but basically from 8am to late afternoon it’s happening, which isn’t great when you’re trying to get a baby down for a nap
The customer service was great and the location was ideal as it was right across the street from the market and within walking distance of several attractions

The hotel was great and the staff were really good. My room was very nice with a comfortable bed. The pool looked lovely and the outside area was good to sit in. Having a coffee bar was great in the morning.
I found every aspect of my stay outstanding. I was traveling by myself, but because of the staff, I never felt alone
Needs updating, but the view is tremendous and the people are very nice. The van goes to the historic area, which is amazing. The view from the Penthouse level shows all the water around the peninsula
I would have given a 4 1/2 star but that was not an option. Everything was great with the exception of their mobile check in and request. I attempted check in using the mobile app and it didn't work
Also, when I requested some items via the mobile chat and there was a delay with staff. I called the assistance line and no one picked up. I ended up stopping staff in the hall to get the items
Popcorn ceilings in the rooms and the age of the carpet cost one star, but the bed is comfortable. Interestingly, they have the new proximity keys, but they don't let you use your phone

He realized it was broken, and they moved us to a different room, even though we didn't ask for it. These things made a big impact on our stay, we will definitely choose Marriott for all our stays
This is a top-tier Marriott! Latricia at the front desk is a gem and gave us the warmest of welcomes. The property is freshly-renovated and the rooms were smartly designed, comfortable and quiet
We never got up early enough to enjoy the breakfast buffet but I did a quick twirl of the offerings right around close. They looked pretty typical, nothing standout, but a nice ($17) option
My daughter and I had an incredible experience at this hotel, huge thanks to Maria, the front desk associate. She was very friendly, accommodating, and offered different options
She asked what was my daughter's favorite color and later at evening asked her to look outside, the whole hotel was glowing pink! My daughter truly felt like a little princess
In particular the beds and showers were sublime and as we were here for a concert, the blackout curtains and comfortable accommodations ensured we could rest up

From the time we got to the resort the staff was amazing my son received a cute turtle and he was so excited since his birthday was the next day. He was so happy! The ice cream for the kids the pools the cleanliness ext
My first time visiting this place, even though it was for work I will say, I love it. The front desk is very professional and helpful. The only issue I had was the bathtub door, the water was going all out when showering
The bathroom needs a bit of more lighting but after that everything else was great, I will definitely will return and I definitely do recommend it
We had a great experience our family took our first vacation and drove 14 hours
I could go on! The view from our balcony was perfect and relaxing!
At the very least, a four-hour tour will probably be as quick as you can get. Longer if you want to absorb most of the facts

Charleston, 115 Meeting Street 🧭 Map

Just got back from three wonderful nights at the Mill House Grand. we used one day to drive into Savannah and back because of the short distance. It was nice to have a valet park your car after a long day of sightseeing
It is within walking distance of EVERYTHING Charleston including some great restaurants, if you choose not to dine at the hotel. The lobby and grounds were elegant and upscale but "comfortable" ( but not "snooty"
A beautiful hotel.. very historic. Very friendly staff.. clean.. perfect service.. right in the middle of the fun city.. walking distance to everything.. I can't say enough good things.
Will go back in the near future to hopefully not get our trip cut short by mother nature! Thank you Denise for all of your help! You saved us a lot of trouble, will come back just for you!
Every person employed here during our stay were pleasant and helpful. Gaston our bellman, went above and beyond for us. He also retrieved ice for us so we could enjoy a cold drink
The staff at the hotel were extremely accommodating. My wife and I are expecting twin girls, and the staff was very accommodating with a room that had a refrigerator

There is a pool and work out room. The sitting patio is pleasant until the Airforce comes by. My issues are simple: the cabinets and drawers are not aligned well
The rooms were a bit snug, but well appointed. The staff was friendly, professional and accommodating. The pool was nice, if a bit cold, during our visit
Just had the honour of meeting Barbara at night check in. Such a friendly lady who went out of her way to fulfill my requests. Rooms are modern spacious and has everything you need. Bed is comfortable 5 Stars
Was waiting for the elevator after arriving and a giant roach crawled out of the elevator frame. Didn’t have issues with bugs anywhere else though. Breakfast was good, especially the citrus-peach juice
Hotel was fine for a 2 night stay. Got in after midnight and location close to the airport makes it really nice, only about 45 minutes from touchdown to getting in bed
Room was very nice and the bed was comfy

Francis Marion Hotel
Charleston, 387 King Street 🧭 Map
Pool: Pool
The room where the wedding ceremony took place had some kind of white applique type design/decoration on the upper walls, which along with the high ceilings and large chandeliers, gave it a very regal feel
Rooms were small but will appointed and very comfortable. A short walk from some of the best restaurants in Charleston. I recommend eating at Halls Chophouse and Darlings Oyster Bar
My only complaint was that they didn't keep drinks (water, etc. I think they just forgot, in the midst of everything, but the gentleman serving our area was apologetic and got us more water quickly, once he realized
Great stay during the Blizzard of 2018! Historic hotel (older) with smaller rooms but comfortable. Staff was great under the duress of the snow. Great adventure, great memories for the family!
It was a lovely and classy event. There were guests mingling about in the mezzanine during the reception, which allowed a bit more of a quiet area, since receptions tend to be somewhat loud
In addition to being an overnight guest, I also attended a multi day conference at the Francis Marion Hotel and they provided the attendees with amazing amenities. I would definitely stay here again

In fact, there’s only maybe 16 lounge chairs, but the view from the rooftop is amazing and the quality of the hotel and the service more than make up for the small pool. The location on King Street is also great
We enjoyed our stay a lot and will come back for sure !
I has the best service from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. The room was so pretty, comfortable and quiet. The bed was so comfortable and had lots of fluffy pillows. The stand alone bathtub was awesome
The patisserie has amazing food. My only complaint is that the pool is small. Do not come here for a resort type pool experience. There is not enough room for all the pool guests to have a lounge chair
As guests left, dirty towels and trash stayed behind ALL day. The service in the bars was mediocre at best. Dirty glasses and dishes sat around the bar area
We highly recommend the Hotel Bennett. From the moment we pulled up to the hotel we were warmly greeted by bellman Kevin. He made us feel very welcome by giving us a tour of the features of our room

We arrived at the Dewberry later, after a 12 hour drive, and I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else! Right off the bat, valet was attentive, reception was great (tea and towel provided), and provided great recommendations
The room was exceptional! Overall, great stay and I will be coming back
Quite simply one of the most exemplary hotels I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The design is exquisite and wonderfully particular to Charleston and the building itself (which is a mid century gem built in 1964)
Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the historic district. The beds were so comfortable and everything was super clean. It is in a great central location to everything we did during our stay
They also have vehicles to drop you off around town and let you borrow a car for 3 hours for free. At the restaurant, all pastries are made to order and come out warm and fresh which was a nice surprise
The staff are genuinely a cut above and I can personally attest to the extent they go above and beyond. The design is exquisite, the Citrus Club an unrivalled location for drinks and the spa is sublime

The bar is fantastic and the bartender was so awesome- always allowing samples and really good pours! I can't remember her name but Fri and Saturday evening shift - amazing! The room was very nicely and eclectically decorated
Beautiful hotel in the heat of downtown Charleston. A quick walk away from the shops, pictured. Was here for a wedding and the staff were more than accommodating. I look forward to coming back!
The idea of historic hotels being managed by Marriott seemed appealing so when my wife and I were traveling in Charleston we had to give it a shot. What an astonishingly beautiful hotel. We're Renaissance fans for life
Wonderful views and a great location for downtown sites such as the market and art galleries galore. Comfortable beds, clean room and a great staff (the best of any Marriott I have had)
The search for a good wedding venue in Charleston, South Carolina was extremely challenging, but fortunately we found The Renaissance in the heart of the downtown historic district
The bar setup in the library area at the front of the hotel was great for cocktail hour, and allowed the guests to socialize while the reception was prepared

Hyatt Place Charleston - Historic District
Charleston, 560 King Street 🧭 Map
The grout in the floor tile was white around the edges and brownish in the center. The floor was not sloped properly and because of this water pooled in the one corner about half an inch deep
Nice hotel located at the north end of the historic district. The free Shuttle bus stops in front of the hotel, but it's easy walking for most of the downtown. Pour, their rooftop bar is awesome for drinks and views.
Location, location, location! Very nice hotel close to everything downtown. Staff was very friendly and the hotel sits back from King Street a boy so the street noise was not too bad. Will definitely stay again.
The staff was excellent as was the room. This is a newer hotel so if you looking for a historic Charleston hotel this is not for you. 5 miles from most of the historic tourist places
There are free buses, carriages and cabs
Generously sized room, updated and clean. Recommended for this price point. Update: from 5 to 4 star
Parking is NOT complementary. Wasn't metioned during check-in. Communication would have been nice

They offer a great breakfast buffet or you can order off a menu. Servers are very friendly and do a great job. We feel John and Joe go out of their way to make us feel welcomed and happy. Definitely worth a try!
Best view in Charleston with AC. We had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding here which was fantastic. We were surprised how great the food was. and of course the view is always amazing
Very nice, clean, comfortable, with a GREAT VIEW of downtown Charleston. Front desk assistant at night was HORRIBLE and not friendly at all (guy)
When we checked out in the morning the front desk assistance was very pleasant and friendly. I would highly recommend this place to stay at
It’s very relaxing to sit at any window and look out across and see the old “Cooper River Bridge”, which I ran once and Fort Sumter
Always extremely clean! We had breakfast added to our room price. Enough variety for someone who has picky tastes

The biggest point for us to stay here was that it had the indoor pool and jacuzzi. This was for the kids' mini vacation. When we got into the pool, it was very cold
With it being an indoor pool, we assumed it would have been heated. Now it wasn't advertised to have a heated pool
The voucher is not much daily and the amount has to be charged to your room and then the credit appears, with my company, there are no additional charges of any kind allowed on my room receipt
However, being a Diamond member the Garden Inn was a hotel where I could get a better breakfast service complimentary cooked to order, with the new credit vouchers this is no longer the case
I had 6 upcoming stays at Hilton Garden Inn's across the US and have cancelled them all and will stay elsewhere. Hilton has ruined a good thing for its most loyal customers
The hotel is great and the staff is wonderful, I would stay here without any hesitation

Great central location. The breakfast was included. We made homemade waffles. The pool area was nice too?
They had good local knowledge. The hotel was clean would love to go back soon
No mini fridge in the room and there was a strange LOUD noise that occurred every few minutes in the morning (maybe from construction?). But overall, a nice stay and a great location
Very pleasant employees and super clean. Had a glitch w/ heat/ac but they fixed it asap. Only complaint was no soap dish on bathroom counter so that's pretty good.
Great location, clean rooms, might need a little attentions on the bathrooms ( wheb we arrived it was not really greatly clean). Love the staff, really helpful

Or, you can take the water taxi directly from the hotel pier to downtown Charleston. A few downers were the apparent lack of enough towels, both in our room and at the pool
A generally fantastic facility to stay at, from the rooms to the pool to the views. Very clean and beautifully decorated
PRO: Strategically great location, upscale pool landscape which is very well-maintained. Nice rooms, attractive and cozy. -----
CON: Overall, overpriced
A bar near the pool for drinks. They will let you take bikes out and ride around which is cool. Not really a beach just a patch of grass with sand on top of it. The best part is the little robot who roams the lobby
The gate at the front so annoying. The brown from the balcony is so good. The hot tub wasn’t working when we were there unfortunately. The pool is big so there’s plenty of room to swim around
Also, the mini fridge in our room was extremely mini, not really able to fit much at all, and never really got cold. A small microwave in the room would've been nice too. Still, we would definitely go back

The beds were comfortable, giving us a good night's sleep. We were greeted with two bottles of water and the famous Charleston Chews sitting on the desk as we entered the door. A small gesture goes a long way
Gorgeous views, amazing and large balconies, a really nice outdoor space where you can watch the boats or just sit and talk. The bistro is nice, too, and the staff of friendly. I will definitely stay here again
This hotel is one of the better more reasonably priced hotels we've stayed at in Charleston. It's 5 minutes away from downtown by car and about 35-40 minutes walking at a strolling pace
Even the gentleman who drove the shuttle to downtown Charleston was incredibly accomodating! Our room was clean and comfortable and the hotel staff on the floors were helpful, also
One plus we found was a lot of underneath parking which we've had difficulties with at other hotels in the past. We will be staying at Courtyard by Marriott on our future trips

In my opinion, it's worth a little extra expense if you can spare it for a clean comfortable hotel stay. All Staff including valet and housekeeping are professional, pleasant & helpful
But just knowing how nice and accommodating everyone was, I think that sets this place apart. Although, that could just be the standard for southern hospitality. Either way, I'd definitely stay again
Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean hotel. It's close to everything, within walking distance to the historic market, shops and tons of restaurants
The only downside I see is the price of parking $37 daily for valet, no self parking but you do have unlimited in/out privileges. Also, there is no breakfast included and the selections at the Starbucks Bistro are pricey
Basically what you'd expect from this level Marriott. Comfy beds, good linen, large rooms. A bit bummed about the lack of microwave, and the fact that the bathroom didn't have a fan -- that was just weird
Very nice. Staff super helpful. Only complaint is there needs to be more than 1 hook in the bathroom for towels which I am happy to hang to conserve H2O but I can hang more than 1.

The rooms are spacious and you get free drinks. Also, you get food at a time when everyone needs a place to relax after a day that you walk around the city. It has a pool and all the stuff you need
I love how you can close off the bedroom from the living room area in the hotel room, so that way someone can say, stay up and watch television, or hang out with friends, without bothering the other person
I love how eager they are to help, really great attitudes, a real standard for how hotels staff should be. The room had a lot of historical quality from its former days. The place is laid out like a fort
This hotel is really unique and its historic nature as a former barracks is really quite awesome. The staff that work here are very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable

Charleston, 250 Johnnie Dodds Boulevard 🧭 Map
Overall the hotel amenities were clean and in good shape, the pool area is very nice (though I didn't use it) and the staff helpful (for example, I ran out of toothpaste and they kindly provided some sachets)
If I could, I would give the hotel a 4. Our room was not cleaned one day, so we had full trash cans and needed to get fresh towels and more toilet paper (yikes!) from the front desk
We had a room overlooking the pool which would have been nicer if they'd cleaned the leaves out of it. I understand that it wasn't pool weather, but I like to sit outside even in spring
They go out of their way to help and offer extras that I dont even realize I need - such as surge protectors in the meetings room. Everyone is pleasant to deal with, always smiling, and the facilities are always perfect
Great hotel! It's centrally located and is a quick drive from historic Charleston, Sullivan's Island, and Patriot's Point. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Our room was clean, updated, and well cared for

Close enough to the downtown area yet quiet and secluded in its own way, my wife and I loved our stay here. The staff is terrific, and though there is no room service, food deliveries from nearby restaurants are easy
Lovely hotel great friendly staff rooms are large good breakfast, but no lunch or dinner served here but they have a happy hour 3 times a week serving small portions of speciality food. Recommended for families
The breakfast and dinner service was awesome. The staff are incredible and super friendly and helpful. We missed breakfast by fifteen minutes and they managed to get us plates fixed and feed us anyways.
The room was clean and the Furnishings were nice. Beds were comfortable, kitchen cabinets were full of any dish glass pot or pan you might need, but there was simply no food in them! Hahaha
She made every morning great , and when she worked the mixer at night that was awesome. I can't wait to come back in June to stay here again. The hotel staff were always pleasant
