Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa

Lovely hotel with nice big rooms. I liked that we had a large bed and also a sofa. The pool is gorgeous and has lots of space. The on site Luau is spectacular and a must do.

Stayed for 4 nights with family of 4 (18 and 17 year olds). Rooms were nice, cleaned everyday, hotel was clean and had several up sides to it. Some of which were the location, golf, beach, crystal clear water, sea turtles everyday, 1 mile from town, and easy self parking. Some of the down sides were, the swim up bar and recreation center (for beach gear) were both boarded up and it seemed it's been that way for awhile with little to zero progress. Some of the service at the outside bar is striking out on the hospitality side. Should try to be more accommodating considering how much a guest is spending to stay and then how much a guest spends there snacking, dining, drinking, and for entertainment. Hotel is also missing that larger bar where you can have a glass of wine or a cocktail in a "glass" with your partner and still have that beach feel and not have someone sitting next to you in the evening wearing a wet swimming suit. They also don't have an area for those later aged teens, who are not of drinking age, but where they can hang out and relax after dinner.

The lobby is a beautiful with open floor plan and views are amazing. However the daily resort fee and daily parking fee add up quickly. Service is lacking at the front desk and in the coffee shop. Since there are so many visiting my assumption they feel they don’t really need to have good service as everyone will take the behavior and buy it anyway while spending crazy prices. The restaurant service was good but restaurants open for dinner. Room service didn’t go regularly even with no signage on the door, had to keep calling up for towels. Pools were nice but a little dirty. Good location, pretty area and about a 20 minute walk to shops and tourist traps. Can feel like a big cash grab as they reach for every dollar they can in this area. Our advice if you choose to stay here, explore the rest of the island, maybe split up your stay, and enjoy the different areas.

The pool was so much fun for kids and adults! The staff were wonderful! And, the different animals and activities were cool!

This resort has a big gym, yoga classes, Zumba classes, a big pool with a waterslide, basketball hoop, waterfall, and if you go beyond the waterfall it leads to a bar, penguins, birds, and a lot more.
