Maison de la Luz Mini-hotel

Came to New Orleans for my birthday 11/2 and Maison Metier exceeded my expectations. Wow what an incredible stay. Byron checked us in and was attentive and helpful and kind our entire stay. The speak easy, the lounge area by check in, the rooms, the hallways, just everything. So perfect!!! The honor bar was so cute, you can just pour yourself a drink and unwind. The wine and charcuterie board each night was delightful. Lawrence was so helpful with all knowledge on New Orleans and the young man at the door (with the braids I'm so sorry I forgot his name was so nice!!). I highly recommend this hotel for anyone coming to New Orleans. The only place we will stay! Oh and it has so much New Orleans charm to the hotel. If you want to really feel like you're staying in New Orleans (rather than any business like hotel), come here. The speak easy leading into the most delightful bar took it over the top (Bar Metier). I'm very picky about hotels, cleanliness is top tier, and this is a 5 star hotel worth the 5 stars. Clean, friendly, beautiful.

Maison Metier is my new favorite Hotel in New Orleans. The Hotel is so beautiful and well appointed, but the staff is what made a wonderful experience. Everyone was so attentive and genuine, paying attention to every need. From turndown service in the evenings, to Coffee and Tea service delivered to our door in the morning, the staff made us feel like we were guests in a luxurious private home. The evening cocktails and breakfasts were also just fantastic. I have already booked a longer stay for next week.

Well worth it! The rooms are gorgeous, the place is styled impeccably and the service is top notch. Fresh coffee and tea delivered to your room at your time preference. Late checkout at 1pm. Friendly staff and service. Nice turn down service w chocolates. Complimentary cookies and charcuterie with tea in the lobby. Loved the little self serve a bar as well. The speak easy is a cute addition.

The bathroom amenities are nice and the rooms are size able a city hotel. Loved that our room had both a bathtub and a shower. They didn’t skimp on the size as both were very spacious. Would highly recommend!

Wow! My husband and I absolutely LOVED staying here, and would recommend it to anyone traveling to New Orleans. The accommodations were top tier. There was so much attention to detail and such high quality service. We loved how hospitable the hotel was. They had a very inviting lobby space, and had coffee each morning. They also set out cookies, and had complimentary cheese and wine each night. We really enjoyed this as an opportunity to unwind and meet other guests. We felt as though the location was perfect! There were so many amazing restaurants and bars nearby. The staff was quick to make great recommendations. We also enjoyed the speakeasy attached to the hotel. We felt like it was an easy walk to get to all of our favorite tourist sights.

When leaving, our car battery had died, and the hotel was quick to help us get our car up and started again. Huge shoutout to Christina, who was friendly enough to help us with this.

If you are debating on staying here, most definitely do! I promise you will love your time here!

Felt like luxury of the past (that's positive!), and surrounded by seemingly happy people who wanted to ensure all was perfect. From the room (nicely appointed), to the attached bar and cafe, and the lobby snack and honor bar, there was nothing really to say except good things. Wait staff - great. Valet - great. Front desk - amazing. Especially Byron! Seemed like he was making everything happen, and alway to the benefit of the patron. As welcoming and 'let me make this better than you expected' sort of person like I've rarely experienced. Top class!

I researched so many hotels for our first stay in New Orleans and I am so happy we landed on Maison De La Luz! This hotel is so beautiful and the rooms are luxurious and over the top AMAZING! Every single inch of this hotel is beautifully maintained. Most importantly I cannot say enough great things about the employees! The level of customer service is unmatched! They are the kindest people and genuinely are interested how your stay is and what activities you are up to! They take their time to make you feel so special. We cannot wait to come back!

There are few hotels in the world that could match the service, comfort and quality of accomodations that you will find at La Maison de la Luz. The breakfast room is an amazing way to start the day, Dominique, Harold and Thadeus made us feel welcome each morning. The front desk staff was welcoming and very helpful. Brett and Alexander are great doormen. Sarah is a great concierge who makes planning a trip to New Orleans easy. I truly appreciated our time at the Maison de la Luz. We will be back.

Excellent hotel with wonderful people across the board. Fun and low key vibe. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Excellent shower. Great breakfast with the best bacon I’ve ever had. Access to the rooftop pool at the Ace Hotel (and their small gym) next door are a plus. Not the most exciting part of New Orleans, but well placed between the French Quarter and Garden District and restaurants and bars close by.

We had a really wonderful stay at this hotel. Amazing decor and comfort in a historic building. Nice location, convenient enough to walk or Uber/taxi to most locations around town. Staff were friendly and service was impeccable. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel. Service was very good. All staff was very professional yet warm. Yummy cookies every night was one of my highlights. Rooms where beautiful and extremely clean. My only complaint is there seemed to be a small disconnect in communication which caused minor annoyances. But the staff was quick and eager to reconcile any issue. I'd definitely go back I feel like I know them.
