Close to everything, walk away but don’t walk late at night.
We had our National Concention here. The food was the best I have had in 10 years of convention food! The staff were impeccable and it was just a pleasure. The hotel shows a little age, but that is the ONLY thing that wasn't perfect. Highly recommended for business or pleasure.
Wonderful hotel! The first night I couldn't find quite the right pillow on my bed (each has 4), but the next two nightly I slept amazing! The temp control in the room is easy to use. I like that the TV has the sleep option so I can set it to turn off a while after I fall asleep. I was here for a conference, and the breakfast pastries were delicious, lunch was also pretty good, and the meeting rooms...
This was the first time we stayed at this hotel for an hotel conference. It was a busy weekend but they were able to handle the large number of guest petty well. The hotel is close to the convention center and we did walk via river walk. Lots of thing are near by and location was just perfect for all of us. Room was comfortable and easily accessible. Will defiantly come back and stay there in the near...
Great location for sure. Front desk person was a little dry at first but once i started asking questions he pepped up some. This is an old hotel, rooms are little dated and the tv is super little no ma’am Pam!! It is huge and great location so that makes it better. Connected to the riverwalk shopping area right off the water beautiful morning sunrise and a lot of stuff around.
The quilts seem to contain some dust, and I got running rose all the nights.

The hotel was closed for the dawn tone and was good room and staff
The New Orleans Marriott meets expectations in terms of location and convenience, being ideally situated along Canal Street and within walking distance of Bourbon Street, which was a great advantage. The added convenience of having a Starbucks in the building was also a plus. That said, I noticed some areas for improvement in comparison to my experience at the JW Marriott in Mexico City. While the...
“Everything was incredible! 🌟 I stayed in a corner room with breathtaking views of the Mississippi River 🌊, enjoying stunning sunrises 🌅 and sparkling nightscapes 🌃. The breakfast and evening snacks at the Executive Lounge were top-notch 🍴✨. Even had a relaxing nighttime swim for some light exercise 🏊‍♂️🌙. The location? Absolutely perfect! 🏨👌”
Stayed with my sister during a busy conference. Location is right on Canal St. and close to EVERYTHING! Food, bars, and Bourbon St. I am a walker on vacation, so we walked everywhere. We had a corner room, which had a fantastic view! The bathroom, however, was extremely small. The gym was surprisingly pretty full, but had a lot of machines. The bar area was always packed with people (which means it...
Excellent location, professional staff, and excellent service.
The hotel lobby is grand, but the room is older and slightly smaller than expected. Overall, the Marriott brand is a bit below expectations. The location is perfect, very close to the French quarter. If it's an event day, the soundproofing isn't perfect.

Everything was great my only complaint was my shower was not clean had a lot of long blonde hair in it and was not cleaned for 2 of the four day I was in the hotel.
I really enjoyed staying here! The rooms were very clean and the walk-in shower was definitely a plus. We stayed for two nights and booked the breakfast on both mornings—it was absolutely amazing. There were so many options to choose from, including a homemade vegan almond-chia yogurt, which was a standout. Everything was fresh and thoughtfully prepared. I would definitely stay here again! 😍
Absolutely loved our stay here during Jazz Fest. Was in a great part of town as there was so much art and food to explore just outside our door. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and our view was of the super dome. There were so many surprises from the gym, pool, and restaurants that you could literally have a comfortable vacation staying in. The best part was Ms. Debbie-warm, welcoming, and great...
Beautiful hotel, great service, close to everything, great restaurant options within the hotel.
I had the most wonderful stay for my birthday this year. From the moment we approached the hotel and for the rest of our stay staff were consistently warm and welcoming. The woman I spoke with when checking in was very sweet. The rooms were clean and the bar made some delicious cocktails. The pool was a great addition and very beautiful so make sure to spend some time there. Definitely a great place...
The property is away from the party area however walkable if you want to see Canal ST and Burbon ST. It is across the street from the superdome. Downside-knock on the door at 9 AM on Sunday morning was not appreciated. Checkout is 11-did not appreciate the wake up.

love the location. great staff. welcoming atmosphere. cleanliness. very worth it!
Amazing view from the highest floor. Staff are professional, friendly and helpful.
Awfully dim room, with a tiny window. Security guard in the lobby was extremely RACIST and stopped me from entering because they assumed I was a food delivery person (as I had a takeout bag on me), while my other friends (white people) who also had the same takeout bag weren’t stopped. Front desk was not friendly at all. Awful!!!
It was a very nice hotel would go again for sure had a great time would definitely recommend to others
Everything was perfect. The location was great. Staff was friendly. Parking garage was a little tight
The hotel was good value for money, and good location on the ***** close to French quarter. With a great view.

Astor Crowne Plaza French Quarter, Corner of Bourbon and Canal Hotel
New Orleans, 739 Canal Street 🧭 Map
It's right there at the corner of Bourbon and Canal Streets, and you can't beat that location. The place is a bit old but very clean and their breakfast is great. And there is a great ice cream place beside the hotel and restaurants all around.
Buffet is only available on Friday morning, took too long to order breakfasts. Noisy in middlenight 2:00AM, took me half an hour to find someone to complain to solve the problem.
Typical American downtown hotel: close to attractions (on the French Street); valet parking required; small storefront (service inside the hotel); relatively old hotel facilities (old hotel)
Was an excellent location, right in the centre of town. Not even a minutes walk to Bourbon Street. Our room was a little bit small for three of us but that was expected. All facilities were great.
Great place to stay! Right on Bourbon and Canal Streets! Only downside was trying to drop off luggage and valet the car off of Canal can be tricky.
We booked this trip for a birthday treat. We thought the room was spacious, clean & had a massive TV. We had a bath & shower & a king sized bed. It’s next to Bourbon Street so loud music but earplugs are supplied. Reception staff are extremely helpful & provide recommended restaurants & places that deliver food to the hotel We didn’t use the gym or pool but would highly recommend this hotel for location...

Wonderful hotel, centrally located with friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.
This was a nice hotel and the location was convenient. The shower door could use a handle in the inside, very weird to open it. My only problem was valet. We waited at least 12 minutes for our truck. I’ve watch the valet walk to go get our vehicle but it was taking a while so I thought that they had other people before us but I was so wrong. My husband said maybe he had to go around the block but I...
Wonderful experience at the Westin New Orleans hotel. From the moment we arrived, until we checked out, the experience was great. Checkin went quickly and had great customer service. The hotel lobby is beautiful, smelled divine and had stunning views. Arriving to the room was pleasant as it was cool, spacious and clean. The bedding had quality linens and so comfortable. We did order room service and...
When my friend and I arrived at the hotel we were looking forward to the stay. The hotel itself is very nice and we were very much well taken care of from the moment we parked and let valet take the car. The rooms need their doors fixed. They get stuck frequently (confirmed by the front desk). But what really contributed to this rating was the fact that we had to ask about 5+ times to get our room...
Staff was helpful and friendly. Don’t forget to use your resort credit daily as it doesn’t roll over.
I loved this hotel, the first thing that draws you in is how great this place smells, it was an intoxicating scent you would want your home or office to smell like. The customer service is impeccable, the rooms are beautiful and spacious, the beds and pillows are super comfy and the location is amazing. I'll definitely be staying here whenever I'm in NOLA.

The staff was so friendly and helpful, the location was great, and the hotel is gorgeous! Great experience loved my stay there
The room is small. The window is smaller than the average Queen size. It feels old. The bathroom is very small. I found that the bathroom light was not on before going to bed at night. I don’t know why. It was still not on until the next day. There was a lot of noise outside the window, maybe from the air conditioner or something. Fortunately, we were very tired and fell asleep. The old world charm, great service, beautiful room, fabulous location.
Stayed here three times over the last five years. Impeccable service starting at the parking garage, getting our luggage up to our room. Nolan, you are the man! Our suite was very nice. Beautiful hotel in the heart of New Orleans. Very clean rooms, beautiful decor, and staff was pleasant and friendly. I did not give 5 stars simply because of the parking attendants. After a recent convention there, they had several people leaving at once (and patrons not attending the event) requesting cars. We were the first ones to ask and almost the last in the group to have our car brought down...
The Best Hotel in New Orleans. Top notch service and amazing friendly staff. The hotel is gorgeous throughout. Our room was beautiful and the history behind the hotel is amazing as well. We have found our new favorite landmark in New Orleans. The famous Carousel lounge is in the lobby as well.

Fantastic location, just around the corner from Bourbon St. & Canal St Staff were wonderful and helpful with anything you need
Was driving past New Orleans on a road trip home and had to stop for a night as I've never seen the city. Booked this place based on reviews and was very happy. Location is amazing and the room was very clean. Staff was also very nice especially valet and security. The convenience store across the street is a little rough at night but we had no problems. I plan to stay here again next time we visit
We knew the rooms did not have a refrigerator. We requested a room with a refrigerator. The front desk said the upgrade would be an additional $ 15 per night. I said “wonderful”!! The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar, but considering they are literally EVERYWHERE, no problem. You are within walking distance of everything. It’s not ultimate high end. It is clean, the staff was wonderful. The...
Honestly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The location is choice. The view from the amazing pool is beautiful. The staff are top notch. Close to all the places you want to go when in NOLA. There was a small issue with a package we booked with and the hotel front desk more than made up for it. Rooms were a little smaller but clean and quiet, definitely worth the money. We also had a bathtub which is nice, considering most hotels are going shower only. We will absolutely stay here again.
Room was clean, king size bed, safe for valuables included. No mini fridge. Located centrally within French quarter with everything you need within a mile. Service was good, but my rooms AC wasn't working too well. Bathrooms are nice. Amenities could be upgraded overall, maybe a complimentary breakfast.

Nice hotel, great location near French Quarter. Rooms clean and quiet but small. Ate 3 breakfasts in The Rib Room and service was TERRIBLE. It took 50 minutes for them to bring our breakfast one morning. Eat somewhere else or plan to spend a long time at breakfast.
Classic building with great history. Unfortunately a bit “worn”. A/C very loud, tiny bath and minimal seating in room. But a lovely venue
beautiful property....excellent staff....
Pool and upper area beautiful… gorgeous views…. Clean quiet rooms, amazing bedding … wonderful people who work there….lovely patio with stunning pots and greenery… so close to so many fun and amazing parts of the city by walking from cathedral, river, preservation hall, pat O’s and everything else. The location is very convenient, but it is a bit strange to share the balcony between the rooms
Great rooms with great amenities. In the heart of the French Quarter (intersection of Bourbon Street and Iberville Street). Don't be surprised by lots of noise and traffic outside the hotel and your room. The Bourbon Street party goes 24/7 and never really lets up. If you're looking for a more peaceful stay, consider a hotel outside of the French Quarter.
It is in a fantastic location. The restaurant attached to it is The Red Fish Grill. We ate there it was amazing! The service was exceptional in the hotel and restaurant. The room was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable.
Service was great, employees were mindful of our privacy as well. First day of service was a little shabby but great afterwards. For the price the hotel isn't amazing, but you can't beat the convenience of the location. It is in the epicenter of all the partying and tourist attractions. Lots of good eats in the area as well!
My stay was pleasant. The bed, bathroom, and carpet were clean and there was no odor of smoke. The building itself is pretty unremarkable. It's kind of an odd space for the hotel. The architecture makes it somewhat functional but it's still not the best building. Their meeting areas are fine but I would not recommend this venue for large gatherings of more 200 people. The catering was decent but definitely...

The location is pretty good, nice food and cafe nearby, but not as busy as French Quarter. The room would be great if the amenities are working normally — the hairdryer, the telephone were broke at first and the toilet malfunctioned throughout our stay. Most of the staff is nice and welcoming, but certain one is very rude and indifferent. When we asked to change room due to those poor conditions,...
Older hotel but clean with great elevator service. Nice fitness center. Good location for going to the French quarter. However, digging up the street right in front of the hotel and they start with heavy machinery at 730 in the morning. No getting away from it. Once they finish would be worth 4-5 stars
Staff was amazing, pleasant and extremely helpful. Hotel room was very spacious and clean. Highly recommended!
Quaint hotel. I found it very charming. The rooms are not very big but they are clean and nice. The bed was comfortable and the staff were all great and helpful. The location was perfect being on the Fringe of the French Quarter. Perfect to walk around and leave. Thank you!
Great stay. The location was very convenient, the room was clean and the staff was fantastic!
Great location. Room was clean. The front desk made a mistake on my account. They charged my card instead of using the credit card authorization that I submitted for work. The front desk said that they were only running my card for incidentals, but charged it the full stay. The gym is nice, but they have the music so loud I couldn’t think. There was no way to turn it down. Overall it was a good stay

Great hotel too many hidden fees Hotel and accommodation were lovely. However room was never cleaned during my entire stay. We told them to clean it late on one day which turned into them not cleaning at all. Several additional fees charges and over charged to our card. 2 weeks later we’re still disputing charges.

Just returned from a lovely 5 day trip to NOLA where I stayed at this hotel. I really enjoyed my experience here. Great hotel! Room was lovely and clean. Good location with a CVS store minutes away. Beautiful roof top bar with great views. Let down a little by the guy serving drinks. Real attitude and served our drinks in a hot glasses. Front desk guys were great.
The rooms were excellent. Very comfortable beds. Controls for lighting and AC on the TV were super cool. Dual overhead/wand shower, awesome. The view from the pool bar is fantastic. Me and my husband came down for a overnight trip for Mardi Gras .Even though they rerouted the parade we were able to check in early and the front desk staff were very accommodating. Will most definitely stay there again just not on Fat Tuesday 😂
Jesse and staff were very friendly with recommendations of restaurants and things to do during our visit.
The female valet was talking to another staff member. When we arrive and was waiting for her to come to us, she signaled for us to bring our keys to her so she can finish talking.
The hotel is so conveniently located, not in the busy French quarter, but close enough to walk or get a streetcar there. It is clean, quiet, and don't get me started on the quality of the bed ❤️. It's one of the best beds I've slept in.

The valet parking staff and front door team are the best in the business. Breakfast team also great. The bathroom is a weak spot. The shower is awful - 10 minutes to heat up. No pressure. Shower curtain doesn’t even reach down to the tub ! HVAC not great - sitting room fine, bedroom warm. Blackout blinds do not keep the sun out.
I will not stay anywhere else in the CBD. You feel like you are the only and most important guest every moment of your stay. No request is too big or small. You are always greeted with a smile. 10/10!!!
Really good hotel Very nice hotel, staffed by hospital, friendly and knowledgeable locals. The room was a tad small, but that’s the only critique. We will stay here again on our next trip to New Orleans.
Nice place but not without issues. Booked a corner King suite and the photo for the bathroom showed a walk-in shower which is a requirement for me but the room actually had a tub with shower that was old and not updated. Also beware the windows do not insulate sound and the 6am garbade truck emptying dumpsters below sounded like it was in the room it was so loud.
Our room was nice and we liked having a suite. The hamburger was one of the best I have ever had. But most of all the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Location was great and convenient. Clean for the most part.
