New Orleans, 1500 Canal Street 🧭 Map
+ Room super spacious and very clean. + Great location in the heart of New Orleans, directly at Canal Street, and right next to it the Avis/Budget car rental as well as the Tulane hospital incl. Emergency Room. + The staff members were super friendly and helpful!!!
I happened to come across a really good deal for this hotel when I was looking, so it seemed like fate that we would stay here. The Jung looked great in the pictures, but you never truly know. When we checked in (a little early) and got to our room, it was a pleasant surprise! The room was huge! The bathroom was huge and bright, with a great shower! We all showered and never had a lacking of hot water...
Very spacious, modern room with all the amenities you will need during a short stay. Very clean and the staff was helpful as well. Would recommend!
Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a hotel. They compare thousands of booking websites and usually will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is the best rated in this area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you choose this place you will love it I'm sure! Our room was very clean. We liked that it was a code for our room door and they had added...
Best part of our New Orleans trip. Beautiful hotel with clean and spacious room for a great price. There's a rooftop pool that guest have access to, the view from there during the evening was really nice. There were limited free parking spots right in front of the hotel that we parked our car at during our 5 days stay. We got to all the main attractions by foot. We took the public transit one day...
I had a delightful stay at The Jung . Everything was brand new , The Executive King Room super spacious , big bathroom with all essential amenities. Wonderful surprises in the kitchenette all new stove, refrigerator with an awesome ice maker, dishwasher dishes and utensils provided. I don't know what mattress they had but I need one of those in my life, so comfy. I highly recommend you visit.

I've read a lot of negative reviews about this place and I don't get it. I found the staff very attentive and friendly. They made me feel welcomed. The hotel was in great shape. The elevator worked and the room was clean. The A/C worked very well, which is important in New Orleans, especially August. We'll be back.
Great location! Short walk to Canal Street and the French Quarter. Breakfast was decent and I liked the fact that it was served to you. The room was clean. The only con was the water pressure was very low and at times you couldn't flush the toilet. I would stay again.
Loved our experience at the hotel. The staff were all so friendly and made our stay easy. Everyone was very helpful there and checked to make sure we had what we needed and asked each day how we were doing, and after each time we returned they asked how our trip was. The location was central to everything we wanted to do on our trip and offered suggestions for activities. Will definitely stay here...
We had a great stay here for two nights after our cruise with only two minor complaints. First, we had asked the room to be feather free when we booked AND when we arrived before check in. Upon checking in later in the day, we arrived to find feather pillows on the bed. Guest services brought poly pillows quickly upon request. The second complaint is probably due to staff shortages, but every light...

The room size was so much bigger and better than expected. Breakfast was adequate and abundant, dinning area was large and spacious and clean! Very clean and sanitized Staff was friendly and helpful
The hotel was very nice and spacious. There were two televisions, which I thought was a bit much. The breakfast was good. The staff was decent, but they were rushing us out before our checkout time, and the housekeeper let herself in the room, while we were very preparing to leave. The cost of parking was ridiculous, especially given the cost of the hotel.
Great hotel by the warehouse district. Has a pool, daily breakfast, and is clean. Staff is friendly and quick to respond to needs. The rooms are clean, spacious, and decorated decently. Overall, I enjoyed my time.
Stood there for 5 days and it was just a great experience the staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent especially the coffee. It is withing walking distance from everything. Will definitely stay the next time we head out to New Orleans.
Nice and comfy. Although bed could have been a little softer but I can't complain to much because I have tender skin from fibromyalgia. Nice and clean. Friendly staff.
I booked online and was given a specific check in time yet when I arrived I waited two and a half hours and still no room. I was put on a waiting list upon arrival and was told I would be called when the room was available but no one did. After the call to Marriot customer service we were immediately given a room. I had no issues with the room and the breakfast was great, however I also have an issue...

My daughter's wedding took place in the beautiful courtyard. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. I left behind some valuables in my room, and after contacting the staff, they quickly arranged for their shipping back to my home in PA. Love this place!
Very convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff. Most importantly, comfortable bed mattress and plenty of big fluffy pillows. Biggest drawback is no mini fridge or microwave oven.
The location was perfect, just 2 blocks from Bourbon, and other streets with party atmospheres. Maison Dupuy was just far enough away for a quiet stay. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The pool was listed as heated but was definitely too cold to swim. Courtyard area is nice and cute. Perfect for a small wedding, or a cocktail in the sun. I agree with reviews that list the rooms as a bit...
The staff could NOT have been more accommodating! The location was awesome. Close to everything without the craziness. Loved everything about my stay, except that I had to leave.
What a great motel. Old but very clean. Friendly and informative staff. We had a little trouble with housekeeping scheduling our room to be cleaned but other than that it was great. Within walking distance from many attractions. We would definitely stay here again.
What a great hotel!!! Fantastic location near Bourbon Street. We want to bring the whole extended family to see the WWII Museum and stay here. It’s better than a high rise. This place has character. Thank you Dawn Bourgeois for all your great suggestions from the concierge desk. Love your fantastic advice!!! So friendly and smart!!! Hope to see you soon.
Very welcoming and polite staff. Handled any problems with ease and a great attitude. A few blocks off bourbon street so noise level and craziness was minimized.

Attended a conference and this hotel was located about a mile walk from the convention center. The front desk was not on the ground floor you had to take the elevator up to the reception area. That became a wait since they only had one elevator, then add luggage. The staff was friendly. The hotel was very clean and had a modern feel. It was within walking distance to Bourbon street and the French...
I really like this hotel. It has the feel of a newly renovated loft condo. It is very clean, practical and affordable. My room had a island counter with cushioned leather bar seats that are great for working and eating. It also had a super comfie section sofa with stylish and function pillows for reading and working. Sparkling new appliances, silver ware, dishes and pots and pan make this place feel...
Overall good, other than few cockroaches found in baths. Hallways some times smells weird. Pretty good breakfast. Had nice views from my room. The restaurant in hotel limited options; but affordable. Lobby for the hotel in 11th floor, which is bit different than most hotels.
Turned out to be an amazing weekend for my fiance & I. The room, hotel, service, & amenities ended up being far greater than I ever expected. Thanks to Priceline our room ended up costing $100 less than Days Inn a few blocks away! We can't wait to go back!
The hotel itself is nice, in a good location & very clean, which I appreciate. The free morning breakfast includes hot & cold items, waffles, and made to order omelets. This is very helpful & we saved a lot of money on breakfast during our 5 day vacation. What we did spend a lot of money is the parking. Walking in, everyone greeted us with a smile. My boyfriend and I were very excited to see our room, which looked exactly like on the website. Everything was very clean and neat. The front desk employees are super sweet, always greeting you when you leave and come back. I would definitely come back to this hotel again on the next visit.
I'm giving this place a three because it's advertised as a three star hotel but it's really a two star hotel. If it were billed as two star, it would live up to its billing fairly well. But the level of amenities and the quality of the service was not what I expected, given the three star identification and the Hyatt name. It was dingy, amenities were few, and the service was amateurish. That said...
I cannot say any bad about this place. Such a great place to stay. They have great breakfast options and 24 hr dining. This made all the difference in our plans since our flight got in at 1:30am. The beds are pretty comfortable and the rooms are super spacious! We had a double bed with a sofa bed- more than enough space for 4 adults and a baby. We also requested a crib in our room and it was delivered...
The hotel is in a good location. French Quarter can be easily reached on foot. Our room was quite big and clean. Unfortunately we forgot a few things in the room of our photographic equipment. We wrote the hotel by e-mail and sent a fax. Unfortunately we did not receive an answer. Otherwise we would have given 5 stars.
Beautiful hotel. Always staying there when we visit. Ambiance is great. Quiet and very clean rooms. Staff is amazing.
Rooms are beautiful and clean. Breakfast is wonderful and the staff is excellent. Our room was quite and had great a/c and plenty of room. Wasn't too impressed in the $38 vallet daily however parking was easily negotiable on the street which is where they park it anyway. Just pay the meter on the app and it way cheaper. Overall it was an excellent stay and I will return.

Spacious room, lovely big bed, very homely. Room comes with a small kitchenette with a fridge and mini freezer. We had a small issue with the fuse in our room which led to us not being able to use the light or the fan in the bathroom but this was dealt with immediately when we reported it. Disappointed that there was no safe in the room, but they gave us a key to a deposit box in reception
We had an awesome stay. Exceptional customer service; breakfast and happy hour during the week were great. Our room was nice and very clean. Blake made our trip even better by sending champagne and chocolate to our room for our anniversary. We are looking forward to next year. We will definitely make Homewood Suites on Poydras St. our place to stay in New Orleans.
I've stayed in several hotels in New Orleans and this one so far is my favorite. Very close to the French Quarter. Walking distance to restaurants. Very quiet. Great full sized heated indoor pool and hot tub which is essential if you are traveling with kids. Full hot breakfast. The lobby is very nice and has a fireplace. The hotel feels very secure and safe, which is an important factor. I'll...
Great, except for the valet staff was extraordinarily inattentive. I had to essentially force my keys into their hands before they took them. They didn't say a word the whole time. It was a very strange experience. Rest of the hotel was great!
Nice hotel. Accommodations meet standard. No courtesy parking for hotel guests. Either have to pay for valet $35 at time of my visit (valet attendant was not very pleasant during greeting) or hourly garage parking next door.
Really liked this hotel. Good comfy bed, room temp cooled down nicely (it was hot when I checked in). Room was spacious and the upkeep was good. Breakfast was good. Hotel staff were very pleasant to deal with. Internet was fast. Water in shower didn't leave you feeling slimy from being oversoftened like the water at some of the other hotels I've stayed at in the area. Close to the attractions. Great...

Would recommend this hotel to anyone just because of the people who work there . I had an unexpected emergency that happen that prevented me to get there. Everything was wonderful, except I was expecting a room with a view of the city and all I got was the face of another building and a peep at the Superdome. But other than that, everything was wonderful.
Very nice hotel! The rooms were clean and bathrooms were spacious. They have an evening social hour were you can get drinks. The location was close to everything as well. I really enjoyed the view from the rooftop pool.
The room was large and nice! We had a good view. The pool on the rooftop was very nice! The location was everything!! Only complaint I have is parking!! $35.00 for parking, is ridiculous! Try to drive around and find a garage that is cheaper. We saw some after we parked. Oh well, next time. There is no free breakfast but that wasn’t an issue.
Rooms were kind of dusty. We had a suite and a double queen bed room. All the bed Head boards had a lot of dust on them. Other than that the rooms are nice. Showers are very nice; the bottoms don't feel like you're going to step through them. The continental breakfast has eggs to order which is nice. Vallet parking is convenient and quick, under 5 min to get the car out. All in all a good place to...

The room was honestly pretty meh. The air conditioner didn't work properly, there was a brown stain on the bathroom wall, and stains on the sheets. But the beds were comfortable, the shower had nice water pressure, the lobby was pretty nice. The best part about our stay though was Michael at the front desk. He's so friendly and helpful. I give a 3 star rating only because it was clean, rooms are nice but the major downfall was the uncomfortable mattress and sorry pillows. Awesome hotel. Parking right next door for about $25 a day. So it was much cheaper then most hotels without compromising on the quality of the hotel. Best bed my whole trip. Loved this place. Will be back.

Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for the parade route. The woman who makes the breakfast in the morning is a hard worker and deserves recognition and a bonus.
Basic, no frills hotel in a good location for the Garden, Wharehouse and Commercial Districts. Not too far a walk from the French Quarter and hopping on a trolley car is simplicity...one stops right outside. Not far from an excellent supermarket. Hotel had over booked so we were given a suit. I didn't even realize it at first because no one made a fuss. They fixed it without being prompted. Great Customer service and right on the trolley line.b Museums out the back door. Great place!
We stayed here for our family trip. It's within walking distance to the WWII museum. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Complimentary continental breakfast. Downside is the parking, no available parking but provide a discount at a near by parking garage. No issues for me and would return.
Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Geoff the concierge was so helpful before our trip. He kept us informed of the Hurricane's affect on New Orleans. This Holiday Inn Express was remarkably clean. The room was slightly smaller than I expected but the accomodations were nice. The hotel staff were very friendly. The room was quiet without distractions during the night. The bed was comfortable. The sliding bathroom door was different, offerimg less privacy than I am accustomed to but it was adequate. Complimentary breakfast was a nice treat also
A solid 3 star rating. Pros: convenient location to popular tourist spots, small workout room with free weights, small pool, price point. Cons: breakfast is limited, room layout, room cleanliness. This is a nice clean hotel. Great location as it is walking distance from the French Quarter. Very nice staff as Angelica was very hospitable at the front desk.
Hotel was nice and rooms were updated but small. My room had a lovely view of the AC unit, but it was fine. Staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast was a pretty standard continental buffet set up.
The rooms were clean and well decorated but they are a little small, but it's okay because most people don't spend too much time in the room.

This hotel is located on the trolley line on St. Charles so it's very convenient. They have a wonderful complimentary breakfast and the folks are friendly. The beds are clean and comfortable. It said on their Info that it came with free parking while you stayed there.. that was a lie. It was around 30 a day. Also it says it came with free breakfast.. It did not!! So I told the manager they need to update their website. She gave me 1 free breakfast. The Hotel could have been cleaner but besides that it was ok.
The St. Charles streetcar stops directly in front of the hotel, so getting around is easy. They offer private parking for $25/night but there's plenty of street parking right next to the hotel for free. The room was clean, the A/C was cold, and the beds were good.
Nothing. It was the worst. I want a refund. They catfished me. The pics online do not show how it actually looks.

It's a great location if you are wanting to be close to loyola and downtown. You can catch the trolley for a $1.25 and a 30 min ride. The building is older but well kept up. The pool is outside and the about the size of a bathtub. The rooms were Tiny for the price, but it was worth every penny.

I loved the location, the staff and the bed was super comfy. it has the old new Orleans feel so Dont expect a modern property. but why would you want modern in New Orleans. the bar next door - May Baileys is the best!! we loved the music and the drinks. Jennifer behind the bar was the best hostess. will definitely return to the hotel and the bar.
Good location for walking around the French Quarter. Very friendly staff, including the valet. However, the "premium balcony" room was communal with a pitiful lock keeping anyone out. For our second night we moved to a more modern hotel on the opposite side of Canal Street. It's cheaper, more comfortable, cleaner, and has many more accommodations. Also, May Bailey's was 80% why we booked; however,...
The staff was super friendly and sweet. It is an older hotel so of course it's not going to be super up to date. The TVs can be updated but the room itself was comfy! The shower was a little weird on how to get it running but was a great shower. Great place
Check in was smooth. Receptionists are exceptional! Room is traditional and not overly large as is expected for a historic venue. It is close to Bourbon Street and is in the historic French quarter. We stayed here for our wedding, and it was the perfect setting. I love the courtyard pool and the quaint bar attached. We arrived to a dirty room and were promptly given a new smaller room. Which was okay because it was clean. The front desk workers are either hit or miss. Extremely nice or extremely rude. That would be my only complaint. But overall I had a wonderful...
Right in the heart of the French Quarter, the Quarter House is close to everything a visitor would want in New Orleans. There's all the very considerable charm of the area, exquisite restaurants nearby, Canal street for shopping and nightlife and so much more! As for the hotel, it has kept its old world beauty AND still provides every room amenity. I felt like a statesman there. The customer service...
Fantastic location in the French Quarter. Very quiet in the hotel. Lovely suite with unusual southern style beds. Very spacious with salon, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and bathroom equipped with washing machine and dryer. Used near by parking through the hotel, very convenient.
The listing of “Chartres House” is erroneous and refers to The Quarter House, a holiday apartment rental, at 129 Rue Chartres in the French Quarter. See photos and review listed correctly under The Quarter House. There is no such establishment as “Chartres House”. Also the map for this non-existent establishment puts it on the wrong side of Rue Chartres and in the 2d block, whereas the actual location...
We stayed at The Quarter House this past weekend. I have stayed in New Orleans plenty of times and have NEVER stayed in a place as beautiful as The Quarter House. It is very quaint, clean, spacious and the old new Orleans style is beautiful! The staff was very friendly and accommodating! We loved it so much, we wish we would've stayed longer! I highly recommend that when you go for a stay in New Orleans...

This gorgeous hotel with large suites, was a good choice. Although I travel with cleaning supplies, I was extremely disappointed to see a used bar of soap and a bottle of shampoo still in the shower. These two things let me know that I needed to sanitize and wipe down all the surfaces in the room. Hotel staff was very pleasant, but masks were not worn by front desk staff, another disappointment. Other...

Staff was very helpful and kind. I wish there was a bartender available when we were there. The stay itself was great. My only complaint is the room had so many ants. Not sure if anyone else has ever encountered that, but the room was full of ants. The restroom, the small kitchen area, the window sills just full of ants.
The Staff, The Decor, The room size, The distance to activities, EVERYTHING about The Mercantile was AMAZING!!! The staff was SO professional & SO helpful!!! What makes NOLA special for me is the hospitality of the people!!! The decor of the hotel was AMAZING!!! I wanted it to be my homes basement with the fully stocked bar, lounge area, & game area. The only thing that would have made it better for...

Staff was friendly and useful. Location of the hotel was great. I loved our little balcony overseeing the courtyard.
We enjoyed our stay there. Attentive service. The room was slightly dusty when we arrived, but otherwise everything else was up to standards. Breakfast was great too! Location unbeatable - near bourbon st but not too near to be too noisy.
It was so absolutely beautiful and elegant. Staff was helpful and courteous. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. So many options to choose from. And the location is perfect! RIGHT next to Bourbon Street.
Used this hotel for a birthday party with a group of 22 people. The hotel was great and the staff was very accommodating. Continental breakfast was helpful every morning. Seconds from Bourbon Street and having the Copper Monkey right next door was a great meeting place for our group as we headed out for our daily excursions. Would definitely recommend.
The wife and I stayed here due to our normal Hotel being booked up. We are extremely glad that we did as we had one of the best experiences ever with this hotel. All of the staff were incredibly friendly in the room was very nice. The Vive bar was super nice and you cannot beat the free breakfast. Definitely a step up from a normal continental breakfast. Its location is also perfect as you are just...
Fantastic hotel! It is located between Bourbon St and Royal St which is an ideal location. The beds were huge and very comfortable. The rooms were very clean with a nice bathroom. They offered a nice free breakfast and even gave free water bottles in the room every day (and offered us some on the way out too). The only draw back is that the walls were a little thing, but that wouldn't keep me from...
