Nice but with flaws
The shower/bath was terrible. Outdated and crazy how the bathtub and shower operated. Needs updating to walk-in shower. Also, our room was at the end of the hall and the wind was howling through the door all night.

Was a very mundane check in experience. Was not told about the parking fee per day. Was told there was complimentary water in the room, was 1.50 per bottle. Was no parking on site. Room was great.

* PLEASE replace the American Flag!!! As an active duty veteran this really hurts to see. At no point should the 🇺🇸 be ripped! See attached photo.

Overall, the hotel is in a good location and has a nice ambiance, but several factors were not up to standard. From my personal standpoint, the check-in process was dysfunctional. I began my family vacation with a staff member in training who didn’t acknowledge my Hilton Honors status and failed to direct me properly to my room. I was on the first floor and mistakenly thought I needed to take the elevator to reach the first floor, only to have to return to the lobby to ask for directions because the room signage was not clearly marked.

Once I finally located our room, I encountered another issue: the door lock had run out of batteries, preventing me from getting in. I returned to the front desk to report the problem, only to be informed that the front door lock had also malfunctioned, but maintenance would be there as soon as possible. I waited for 15 minutes before someone finally opened the door, and I was able to enter the room.

Our original room was poolside. While the outdoor pool was not in season, the view was marred by an unkempt outdoors area featuring dead trees, fallen branches, and poolside chairs in the empty pool, which was not ideal. The outside appearance was disappointing, especially for the same price as other rooms, and I was unable to see the beach from our room. My wife was upset and requested to move. They reluctantly relocated us to a different room two doors down. Although the new room had a slightly better view, it was still unsatisfactory.

The hotel is conveniently located near excellent restaurants. If you don’t want to eat at the hotel lobby, there is a pizza place down the street that my kids loved, as well as a McDonald’s. Additionally, the hotel backs up to the beach, which adds to the convenience and made the stay worthwhile. It is also just a 3-5 minute drive to the boardwalk.

As someone who has been with Hilton for a long time, I was not impressed with this stay. The experience was far from exceptional and reached a point where we almost considered staying just one night and finding another hotel. It seemed they were preparing for warmer weather, as there was a lot of renovation that made navigation around the hotel unpleasant. While I know I will return to Ocean City, I will not choose to stay at this hotel again. Overall, it's a decent place that offers convenience, and I hope my experience was an anomaly.
