Hotel Boheme

I had a very pleasant stay here, it is in a great, safe feeling location, the room decor is a delight, complimentary sherry on an evening is charming and all the reception staff were lovely.
The only thing I would like to note is that there is a very unpleasant, strong smell around the hotel which if you are sensitive to smell (like I am) could be quite off-putting, I put the odor down to the nearby restaurants & age of the building as I felt the hotel was very clean.

Safe, clean, friendly staff, and unbeatable location. During the day, you can check out cute cafes and bakeries. In the evening, there is live music at restaurants and bars nearby. Hotel itself is quiet and quirky - felt very clean and they put sherry out at night for guests.

Great location, no elevator so walk up only. Very quiet with comfy, firm, well supported beds. I had a great sleep here. I would recommend this hotel.

Excellent base to explore SF while pretending you're Kerouac or Ginsberg. So much history in the hotel and the area, great restaurant, bars and cafes, and locals. I downgraded to a small street facing room and loved it - stayed for a week and was sad to leave.

The hotel is a time slip so its shortcomings add to the charm. But visitors should expect to carry their suitcase up a flight of stairs to reach the reception.

My wife and I stayed here for a night, while in the city with friends seeing a show. Great location to many wonderful restaurants, theaters, etc., and had an amazing feel, like staying in an old Paris Hotel. We love the essence of the hotel and how it is decorated, bathroom with its vintage tile and fixtures, free 4pm aperitif of Sherry, the room was clean and minimalistic, etc. General Manager Nick and the reception staff are kind and very helpful with any needs/questions you may have. There is a parking garage no more than a block or two away. Highly recommend a stay here! Call hotel directly to compare price with those listed on booking websites, as you may get a better deal. :)

Wonderful ambience and atmosphere. Really clean room and bathroom with comfy beds as well. Would definitely stay here again when we visit SF in the future!!

This place is in a great great location. Basically next to little Italy and Chinatown. So that means tons of good food! Price is reasonable too! The room is small... but hey it's San Francisco so you should be out and about! Would definitely stay there again when we come back!

I really loved this hotel, it was classic and charming and surprisingly comfortable. They lay out a bottle of creme Sherry every night which makes for a great nightcap. The hotel is located in North Beach, in the heart of little Italy so there is plenty of nightlife and restaurants.
